  1. New to TGO! I am looking for a new home for my super clean 1980 (102-80xxx) Ruger Model 44 Carbine SA with 4 + 1 capacity, 18.5 inch barrel, and Bushnell 3x9 scope with protective caps. Bore is clean and the rifling is strong. Ejection port, action, bluing, walnut stock forearm are all in excellent condition. Check the pictures to see the small amount of wear on the loading trapdoor. The original folding leaf rear sight and sling mounts are all intact. This is a great hunter and shooter. Looking for someone who appreciates the older, well made Rugers and understands their value. $1,100 Prefer to meet in Jackson, TN, but will travel up to 1 hour within TN. Cash only if meeting. Can discuss shipping and payment in PMs. A sale to anyone outside of TN will be shipped to an FFL of your choice. I will require a copy of the FFL. Buyer will pay actual shipping and insurance coverage costs. No handling fees.

  3. 1 Cor 15:12 Now if Christ is preached, that He has been raised from the dead, how do some among you say that there is no resurrection of the dead? 13 But if there is no resurrection of the dead, not even Christ has been raised; 14 and if Christ has not been raised, then our preaching is vain, your faith also is vain. 15 Moreover we are even found to be false witnesses of God, because we testified against God that He raised Christ, whom He did not raise, if in fact the dead are not raised. 16 For if the dead are not raised, not even Christ has been raised; 17 and if Christ has not been raised, your faith is worthless; you are still in your sins. 18 Then those also who have fallen asleep in Christ have perished. 19 If we have hoped in Christ in this life only, we are of all men most to be pitied. The Order of Resurrection 20 ¶ But now Christ has been raised from the dead, the first fruits of those who are asleep.

  25. I got mine at Harbor Freight. I don't remember what the load rate was but I mostly use mine on the back of my Kubota with a 20 gallon tank on it I use for spraying around the place. Works fine.

  27. Those are my photos. I think you're right and I'm wrong, what I thought was a 92X Centurion doesn't seem to have any Centurion markings on it, so it's just a 92X I guess. Placed next to a 96D Centurion, the 96D's definitely shorter. I recently had another actual 92X Centurion that I sold, and I suppose I assumed both these 92Xs were Centurions because of the trimmed down muzzle. Sorry for any confusion.

  29. The grip. the backstrap is hollowed out and incredibly sharp. The grip texturing is fine, but there is a thin line at the bottom which is raised and sharp also. It is circled in this image here.

  30. Here is a picture of the ammo I still have. From left, Case that blew out the entire rim (fished from my PCC), Bad round, case from bad round, and on the right is a Browning factory shell for comparison.

  31. I'm still here. I bought 1000 rounds and i checked and could find no sign of the reloader (This was from about 2010 time frame). All ammo is stored in a cool, dry place with desiccant packets. This were bulk packed in a cardboard box, 500 to a box. I originally thought it was another problem because of the oddity of the failures. I checked the brass and didn't notice any Glock bulge, but it is possible that the bottom of the case was reworked and stretched one too many times. I'm looking through my stuff to see if I kept one of the blown out cases. And as soon as I identified the problem, I started pulling them apart. I just want to try to isolate the problem so I don't make the same mistake.

  34. I took my P-09 C back out today after a more thorough clean/lube and shot up a fortune in mixed ammo. I took some Federal AE 124 gr, Blazer brass 124 gr, Blazer aluminum 115 gr, various reloads, and more of the Monarch brass 124 gr that I had issues with last time. I shot everything but the Monarch first and noticed the slide still locks back with one round left in the mag on 2 of my 5 mags consistently. One other mag did it once, but that was all. So, I feel like I shot enough ammo to trust the gun, but those 2 mags are suspect. As far as accuracy goes, I couldn't be happier. Without much effort I got decent groups with all kinds of ammo. Unlike some of the other P-09 C owners here, I don't mind the factory sights. I mostly used the red dot, but I'm still not fast enough with it for quick follow-up shots. The splatter target is a mix of red dot and iron sights. I could tell I need more red dot practice because my shots spread quite a bit more when I didn't use the iron sights. Just to be sure, I ended the day shooting the Monarch ammo and immediately had all kinds of issue with my 3 "good" mags. I had one double feed, a dozen light primer strikes, one failure to extract, and 3 failures to feed. The light primer strikes were so frustrating I could barely shoot 2 rounds in a row without dropping the hammer 2 or more times. I've reloaded with hard primer cups before, like Wolf and CCI, but they were never a problem with factory hammer springs, they only failed to ignite with the extra soft springs in my Shadow and heavily modified SP-01. This is just terrible ammo. I think the feeding/extracting issues were related to underpowered rounds. I could definitely feel the difference in recoil on the rounds that failed to cycle. I still want to have one more trip to the range without the Monarch ammo and to run at least a couple of mags of SD ammo through it. I have a lot more confidence in this gun than I did after the first range trip. Unless something goes horribly wrong on the next trip in 2 weeks, I'll have about 500 rds through it by then and I hope to be switching to the P-09 C soon as my carry gun.

  35. From the Vault. For Sale. Boberg XR9-S. Now owned and sold by Bond Arms. Boberg XR9-S Platinum Edition LNIB Barrel 3.5 inches Rounds 7+1 Overall 5.1 inches Height 4.2 Width 0.96 Weight 17.5 oz Nice sights. Carbon Steel slide. Satin finished hard chrome plating. Trigger, transfer bar and all exposed parts are stainless steel. This is considered a "collector's item" as Boberg Arms sold to Bond Arms in 2018. I have two of them and am selling one. Bond Arms sells them for about 1K. I paid over that, oh well. Occasionally they show up on Gun Broker. Excellent carry pistol due to its compact configuration. Minimum recoil and easy slide manipulation. Or put it in the safe for appreciation. This one was worked over by Arne Boberg Himself with a custom trigger job, about 4lbs. $375 Firm PU in Loudon County/ Lenoir City area. Daytime hours only. Prefer meetup at Range USA. I'm old. Don't drive far.
