  1. Being the rabid Eagles fan that I am I had to share this.....

  2. Do we have any more documented evidence of this most recent bash Beretta thread then we do any in any of the others of late? It seems like we’ve got plenty of, “I know a dealer who says” but it doesn’t go any further.

  4. Here is an ATF employee discussing the plans on how the ATF is going to use the bump stock ban to affect ALL semi autos. We have "conservative" leaders who are going along with this. We have a super majority in Washington and they could end this instantly but they refuse to. Washington I s corrupt and broke, they no longer work for the people. There is also no grandfather clause either, legal one day then you are a felon the next unless you turn it in. They are trying to set an arbitrary rate of fire. Fire too fast and you are a felon even if you do not use any device. Sickening. NOW IS THE TIME TO STAND UP!

  11. So here's another version of the periscoped rifle. The Cameron-Yaggi Experimental 1903 is a bit more complex and cumbersome.

  12. I misquoted the definition, it is a single “function” of the trigger.

  14. Did the shooter actually have any way to see where he was firing with this rifle? Or just shoot and pray he hit something?

  15. For NIB, $700 plus, I want equitable quality with everything else in that price point. For $300 I can buy reliability with most brands.

  16. I have a SIG MCX in 300blk, it's their pistol version with a 9"Bbl. and I really like it. This is my first 300blk the only thing I can think of that gets me is the cost of the ammo but I'm going to start reloading my own. Here is a pic, it has the SBS arm brace I'm thinking if doing an SBR with it. I enjoy shooting it and it's fun to shoot. I'm thinking of getting the Geisle Trigger for it also.

  17. For me, the take away is that my G43 does not hold enough rounds. Either that or I need to practice head shots more.

  18. I've got Raptors on a couple of mine and I love them. Watch Rainier Arms long enough and they have sales on them a couple times a year. I think I paid $60 for one and $75 for the other. I'm a lefty and I run my scopes kinda low.

  19. Since I've expressed my negative opinion of Longmire, I'll restore balance by saying something positive about another Netflix series: Peaky Blinders. It's a gangster series that begins in Birmingham, England, right after World War I (each season moves forward another year or two in time). Outstanding. I just finished season 4, which was release on Dec. 21. Lots of period-correct firearms, used abundantly. Enjoy, Whisper

  20. Harry W. Creighton, Master Gunsmith, Nashville TN area, active in the 60s and 70s. Built extremely accurate benchrest guns. I don't think Harry worked at the Donelson ACE Hardware but there was an older guy there that worked the gun counter and used to be at all the Nashville gun shows back in the 80's and early 90's. I acquired the rifle below at an estate sale in the mid to late 80's. It came up at the end of the auction and the auctioneer said it was a .25 caliber so I assumed it was a 25-06. The bidding started at $200.00, I ended up with it for not much more than that and had no intention of buying it. I had already bought several other items but now I had another. After I got it home I then found out what I had. It was a 98 Mauser action, Timney trigger, Sako barrel and a Herters stock. Barrel was stamped .225 Winchester. H. W. Creighton. I was at a Nashville gun show and the guy from Donelson Ace Hardware was there and I noticed he had several rifles that looked like the one I just purchased and upon further inspection they too were marked Harry Creighton. I inquired and I can't remember hardly anything he told me but it was highly detailed and went on for like 10-15 minutes. All I knew is I had a rifle built by an extremely talented and respected gunsmith. I added the Unertl scope because I figured a rifle like this deserved it. It's a tack driver to say the least.
