  1. I kinda like the wife. (wink, wink)
  2. No trees down this time for me. That's a great relief.   But seems to have been a lot of power outages in the Briley Pkwy/Opryland areas. At least that's what Ch5 reports.
  3. Hmmmm...if real world pricing is really good; that could be my next purchase. Probably in 22WMR.   Or...maybe a 22lr for the little woman.
  4. Sadly, I doubt I'll receive any guns or related items. My wife says she won't buy me a gun...never would know what I want, and refuses to let me pick it out so she can buy it.   So maybe after the New Year, I'll look for a Smith 617 or a 351 PD for myself.
  5. I don't know that I could or can put together a list like this. I guess I'm just too wishy-washy to pick.   Maybe a good bolt action 22, a couple of good revolvers in38/357 to a 45acp version, a good matching caliber lever action rifle, a good 12ga, and an auto loader or two in 9 and 45.   I guess that's where I would start.
  6. The thru and thru shots, with total penetration were awesome.   The gel block hits were frightening.   The shotgun(?) pellets were the greatest.   But I don't want to be shot with any of them.
  7. Sweet!!  I'm on my second AK and love them.  Really wanting to get one of the Vepr models to make it a trifecta.
  8. That is awesome looking!!   I find myself getting rather hot and bothered by the pic....
  9. Although I'm in the minority as I'm not really a fan of the 238; that looks really good. The Scorpion package sure makes a difference on it.
  10. That is a nice one. Lame comment I know, but anything I say won't convey the meaning and sentiment that it holds for you.   Merry Christmas!
  11. My wife makes me get up.   Seriously though, a dog, security lights, on the house, and a huge, glaring street light in the front yard pretty much wake and light my way around.
  12. Yep. Saw this yesterday on one of the morning news shows, I forget which.   It would be funny if it weren't so true.   Kinda reluctant to sign an ACLU letter though, they've been less than always on the good side of some things.

    Remington R1 1911

Yep, I have a couple of "old School" 1911s and with my tired old eyes, they desperately need at least combat style sights.
  14. Well said, Lumber_Jack.

    My Christmas

    Very nice!!
  16. I got the bacon...but I need to go get some steaks.   Bet that would be a heck ofa' breakfast with some eggs!!
  17. Life IS about hard choices.LOL
  18. Awesome Display!!!
  19. How much width/girth does it add to the pistol? That would be a consideration as well for me.
  20. Big Tim Allen fan here, and I guess he gets away with the scripting because he is still a big draw for the network.
  21. Wonderful!
  22. Prayers for you both.
  23. Echoing the sentiments of others. I partially understand the feelings thru my own issues, but no one can truly understand the problems and feelings of another. No matter how we try.   Just know you do have people here who care and will attempt to help.
  24. I can just see my neighbors when I go out to plant. That crazy gun guy is at it again...call 911.
  25. As a Cancer survivor, I can relate to the ordeal that Mr. Chambers is living. Chemotherapy is not fun. And the side effects can be terrible.   I too, wore a stocking cap most of the time when going out. And I was never once asked to remove it.   Morton's employees must be singularly proud of their establishment to ask such a poorly dressed guest to leave. And I can't believe that the wait staff and the management's eyesight is so bad that they could not see something was wrong with Mr. Chambers.   Believe me, I don't look very great now, and I can assure you that during chemo I looked like the phrase "death warmed over." Unless in the recovery stages, almost all of us would look very weak, wane and pale at best.   I don't know if I'd say I won't go to Morton's again, but this surely will stick in my mind.
