  1. Our own Cojo87 told me that recently he ran into one of Lenny's managers. Supposedly there will not be a "static" range in the facility. All to be class or teaching rooms with shooting scenerios. Just hearsay.
  2. Looks like one of his models. I didn't really meet them, but was around some a few years ago.
  3. From my point of view, the vette nosed down from a panic braking and went under your bumper. The impact sheared the entire front clip of the vette off and that, as you say probably was the cause of the liftgate damage. There's not a lot above the impact absorber/bumper on the late 80s model vette. Just enough structure to hang the lamp assemblies and the hood hinge supports. But enough mass to cause that liftgate damage. I'm guessing not much of the front fenders and hood on the Corvette is intact. It probably shattered like safety glass. I think that driver is exceedingly lucky to be alive and uninjured. Looks like the engine hitting your axle is what kept him from having you sitting on top of him. Can't see the differential and axle structure on yours, but I hope the guy has good insurance. I'd say your Acadia may be a total. That was a very hard hit. Again glad you are all ok.
  4. Who new back years ago when I had the chance to buy a couple of 870s for next to nothing...it would become such a very stupid mistake. lol 2 rough looking came to me in a possible trade. I passed.
  5. Very glad you are all safe. But... How in the heck did that older model vette hit so high on the liftgate of your Acadia? You'd think he had jumped a ramp to hit there! Is your axle broke or just the tire torn off? Sorry, old habits die hard. Sold parts to repair shops for a long time, and saw a lot of strange hits. Always wondering how it happened. Still can't see something like this and not mentally start to write a parts order. lol
  6. Personal opinion follows. Back in the turbulent 1960's, My Dad, a pretty smart man I later found out, raised Hell over the "Japanese buying up America!" Buying buildings, land, whole companies, just anything they could. He said back then that they would own this nation in 50 years. I guess he was a Nationalist before it was cool. Well, I don't know what the level of Japanese ownership is today, except for the failed Nakatomi Corporation. I'm sure it's still a pretty fair amount. But what Dad didn't see coming was the Chinese. Even though he fought the Chinese communists/ala Korean Communists in 1950-52, he thought the real threat came from Russia. I guess most people did back then. Even in his short lifetime, he was cut down by lung cancer; Dad always said that people needed to wake up and see what was happening. Dad thought that buying anything not USA made was a horrible sin, and an insult to all who had fought for this Nation. He said we were just giving away our country, a dollar at a time. Well, I think he was right back then, and are still doing it. One personal purchase of cheap, WW imported goods at a time. But it seems that the average people are just small potatoes in the grand scheme of things. We buy small and in most cases, think small. It's the politicians who are selling the country now, not a dollar at a time, but by the millions at a stroke of the pen or a back-room handshake. And it doesn't seem to be all that uncommon anymore. I'm sorry Dad isn't here now, but so glad he doesn't have to see what his people, his country, has become and where it seems to be headed.
  7. Probably. We were very early to receive in the first round.
  8. For us, either apply it to the rape of the people property tax increase by our beloved Mayor John Cooper...or...add to our stock of food supplies.
  9. I was very surprised here in East Nashville. Just a very few going off around 10:30 or so. Maybe the light rain stopped them this time. Although we usually see and hear some of the neighbors shooting them off from under carports of from porches. This time didn't even upset my dog.
  10. Not as of an hour ago. I usually check and update my debit card spending list daily, and nothing was there. Sad. I'd like some play money this morning.
  11. Have I missed something this morning? I'm sort of confused. Yeah, that's normal for me; but this thread is making it more so this morning.
  12. I have a couple of Barska Spotting Scopes that have been very good. 20x60 and clear views. Not the high end stuff but serviceable for most range use.
  13. I'm not sure, but I don't think it's possible. Proprietary mags, I think. EDIT Well seems that it is possible. lol See following posts. As far as the books, I just found some. On ebay of course. And ordered a few. My wife will not be happy.
  14. Duplicate Pistols!!! Are you crazy Man!!!??? I would never consider such a thing. I also have some bridges to sell you. PS I need on of those 350 G5 Glocks too. I have a few Glock mags. Just a few.
  15. I wonder... Do you find yourself buying mags for something you don't own (yet) when you find a good price on them? Or hanging on to a supply in a caliber you don't have a gun for anymore? Just in case you might buy one again?
  16. Well, I've owned a G19X. Personally just couldn't seem to like it. Perhaps it was the slightly larger size of the grip. But sold it pretty quickly. No other issue with it. Have had other Glocks, usually G19s, that I've really liked. As far as the FN pistols, like Glock, I think they are fine to excellent handguns. has taken me a while to warm up to the different grip on the FN. I really didn't like the very aggressive texture on them initially. But have warmed up to them. A few have come and gone, but have an old FNS9 that I rather like. I think you'd be fine with either one. Both are excellent pistols.
  17. Personal opinion follows. I have owned a 4" Python, from the late 70's iirc. Yes, it was pretty. Actually the finish was more than that...it was beautiful. I sold it for a good profit. Bought a nice Model 19 Smith. Don't regret any of it.
  18. I pray that you are right. I fear you are wrong.
  19. Understood. My question was to bring to light the fact that I do not believe the explosive has been addressed. Inquiring minds want to know.
  20. Mis-phrased, Retired and doing a little maintenance and upkeep on the a realtor's equipment afaik from news. Still that's a heck of a lot of damage.
  21. Thank you, Dirtshooter. It was ...I don't know. I'm out of words right now. I'll never hear the Possum singing He Stopped Loving Her Today in the same light. Michael Played on that one. At least on a video performance.
  22. I have a question. How does an unemployed IT guy lay hands on the amount of explosive necessary to produce this much damage?
  23. Space Force Cadet?
  24. Same here. And my permit doesn't renew until 2026.
  25. My apologies to you Dave. I must have misread, or more likely, misunderstood your commentary this morning. Wouldn't be the first time for me.
