  1. I should have as well. Actually I didn't buy any and I'm regretting it. Beginning to want to try again with them. Only thing I have with slide cutouts is my Canik SF. Been thinking, but putting it off. Maybe for too long now.
  2. Man Logic!! Are you really saying that?!?!? LOL!!!
  3. Been there...done that. lol I think I have 5 possibly 6 umbrellas in my vehicle, and I'm sure they all qualify as cheap/not worthy. lol I have 3, 5 buck models from the Home Depot impulse jars by the registers, 2 old, old ones from my work days. Yellow and Black. But bigger than normal size. Cheap golfing umbrellas for a tournament giveaway. Somehow I managed to grab a few for my better customers. And myself. Also 2 tiny ones, the little purse size things, my wife puts in front and back by the seats. Just in the way really. They interfere with grabbing my cane most of the time. Also have several inside the house, as well as some stashed outside each door. My wife doesn't like to get wet. We were very wet in that 2010 Flood you mentioned. I really should get a couple of good sturdy umbrellas though. Maybe just for show anyway. lol
  4. I can't advise you on that choice, I'm not sufficiently knowledgeable on them either. How ever, I will say I see several LGS recommending our vendor here...US Law Shield. I also admit I've not given enough consideration to the need for such service also. But with the absolute idiocy of law and courts on weapons used for self-defense, I'm looking harder at it.
  5. Wish I'd known you were here. Even in all that rain, I would have come over. I'm about 7 miles from Bass Pro. But even so, I rarely go in there. Go in once or twice a year for the shirt sales. Thinking I need to go look for some new sandels' the soles of mine have split and all the strap seams have come apart.
  6. Hearing protectors by the bed. That's good. It will make it easier to take that 12 gauge blast.
  7. Very wise words. I don't deny there is a virus. But I do strongly question the governmental and social bellowing and screaming going on as to the lethality of it.
  8. Was it Bud's that I saw selling motor cycles and ATVs? I know I've seen several companies expanding into different products lately.
  9. My only situation that was really frightening was in Columbia in the early 1990's. Did some work with a gift store there for a while, and always left after closing hours. No problem at the mall, but I stopped at a little roadside drive thru burger joint for a meal. Pulled and drove around back(didn't even begin to like that) to the order window. Small building, roads on 2 sides, brush on the others. As I was waiting, I saw a young man on the sidewalk coming towards the drive thru. He ducked into the brush, probably though I didn't or wouldn't see him. After a moment, he trotted to the corner of the building and looked at my Blazer. I guess he though he was invisible to me. But him being back lit and already watching, my spidy senses were all a tingle. I had my BHP by my thigh. As he came up from behind, between the building and my back fender, I laid the muzzle in the open window and asked what he was doing. Never a word spoken by him, just turned and walked away. About this time my meal came. Little gal in the window saw the pistol and almost fainted. I had to call out and explain what had happened. She wanted to call Columbia police, but I wasn't staying around for it. trucked on up Columbia Ave and hit Saturn Pkwy to home.
  10. Disclaimer for # of cases figures. My understanding is that if you have a test, and the result is positive, you go into the number of total cases. But that number does not break out those hospitalized. So the number, to me anyway, seems inflated. jmo
  11. So you're the hoarder with all the components! Probably sitting on 500000 primers and 1000s of pounds powder! That being said...wise man!
  12. I guess times change, and Robertsons with it. I've bought once from them online and seemed like I was the long lost brother returning home. Next time...not so much. poor service and acted like not interested in my business. Last time I found something I wanted from them, I was told I couldn't come to their store, it was online only. Now granted that's been a couple of years back, but that's my experience with them.
  13. Got a call from a member today asking for small pistol primers. Seems that stocks are virtually non-existent. Told me materials for manufacture of primers are also not to be had. So the reloaders are going to be hit harder this go-round.
  14. So you're workin' today, at your loved career?
  15. I was pretty sure you had played with Charlie at some point in your career. Like I've said before, I'd love to sit and listen to you talk about your musical adventures and escapades. lol Have you considered writing about it? Really, I'm sure a bunch of us would buy copies. But back on track...I think I've made posts about Charlie Daniels here already, and I can't tell you how many on FB. But Charlie deserves every single one. A good Christian man, a true America loving patriot, a great musician, and a true southern gentleman. Just a good ol' boy in all regards. I got to enjoy his music since his early days I think. First heard him at a Chili Cookoff. I think he may have gotten paid in chili. lol But got to see I think 3 live shows. He never disappointed, except maybe not playing long enough at the last Jam I saw. But didn't matter. He was, is, and always will be great in my eyes. Miss ya' Charlie. Now take a break, and Rest in Peace.
  16. Great score! Love that model with the gorgeous Mannlicher stock! I passed one by and really regret it. And in the same mode of stupidity, a 7.62x39 also got away from me.
  17. Now that's something I could like. I know a few I'd like to call out.
  18. I would not do such a thing as you gentlemen suggest. At least not yet. Really.
  19. Thank you all for the prayers. I know Susan and I appreciate them all. I'll get Tad's mother and Julie, his girlfriend together and they can see these messages. I know they will appreciate them as well. Frank E. "Tad" Stratton's earthly remains are now back home here in Nashville. As of now, no time set for a memorial service. I guess Covid 19 interrupts all things. We are waiting in line for a time at the cemetery for the service. His mother wishes for a small private family gathering, though the outpouring of friends on FB might change that. No matter what else can be said of Tad, he touched many, many lives while he was here. Thank you all, my TGO Family. May God Bless you all for your concerns and prayer.
  20. Thank you. Beautiful.
  21. Deputy...never heard of it. The next two...completely agree. Total waste of time. Looks as if The Rookie is coming back. I really liked the first season. Second had it's good points, but became to darn socially conscious with all the lib view stories. I guess Manifest has bitten the dust. Not a great show, but I wanted to see if they could write themselves out of the hole the show was in. Sort of a sideways Lost to me. As for The CW Network, it is for teens. Period. Or old geezer scifi/comic fans. Some of the shows were good initially, but deteriorated rapidly. Pickers...well I like it. I may or may not learn anything from it, but usually entertaining. Yes I am a Danielle fan. lol Always looking to see just how far her tattoos go. Liked the car shows on History, but they have gone to shows all about the characters/actors more than about the cars. And how long does it take to dig, drill, and find a treasure? How many fish can you get in a net? Gets old.
  22. My wife and I ran a small gift shop in the late 8s and early 90s. Located in a well known mall. Like most smaller operations, we made our income from October thru December and barely broke even the rest of the year. Not complaining, that's just the way of things. To paraphrase what Dirtshooter says, the public, i.e. our/your typical customer is usually a pleasant, decent sort of person that we enjoyed dealing with. We had built up a fair base of repeat customers, and they were a joy to see and we counted them as friends and treated them so when they came in. Then there are those who don't like this item or that one. This color is wrong. It's perfect or it's a disgusting piece of crap, why would anyone want that in their homes. Then there's the " that's too high and related crowd." You learn to deal with them as best you can. But there are always the ones who cannot be served in a decent manner. Rude, insolent, abrasive and obnoxious. You can on most all of them just grin and bear it. Then you have "that" one you just want to smack with a bat. But all you can do is at most ask them to leave. Makes a person go a bit bat#### crazy after a while.
  23. I presume that's you in the camo shorts?
  24. Both very nice! Not that it matters, but I prefer the first one.
