  1. I don't! I'm a rebel!!
  2. That's Cold Man. Just cold.
  3. Buddy, I saw this and thought you were selling it! I was about to call. lol You are right. Great pistols. Ask Steelharp, we had one move between us for quite a while. Sadly, I believe he has it now.
  4. Man we could have taken over the Joint!! It was a really good time, at least for me. lol Thoroughly enjoyed it all! Good company, myself excluded, and good food. Topped off with wild and woolly firearms talk. What could be better?
  5. I saw the Shot Show comments on the "Dagger" series, and there were comments on possible variants, and more features coming, just as the link of Raoul's mentioned. Buy now or wait and see? If I run across one, I'll probably be in trouble. If it's on the PSA site, I can wait. Who am I kidding, I'll still want it. lol
  6. More concerned about my not liking it and having a pistol that I didn't care for. lol like several others I have stashed away.
  7. I won't say I'll buy first available...but I'm in for one. Guaranteed.
  8. Thanks buddy. I've just spent a great portion of the evening reading and watching videos on the RMR/Optic subject. I may actually have absorbed some knowledge from it. From my observations, the Holosun 507K looks to be a very valid choice. It has features and strengths across the board that seem to make it the best choice for me as a beginner. I liked the dot, circle, and circle/dot modes on it as well. I did consider the Shield RMSc, but saw many comments on the structural strength of the frame questioned, and concerns on drops and possible mechanism failures. DDP was also in the running, but just didn't make enough of an impression either way on me to feel really good about it. The Trijicon SRO is probably better, and I certainly like the larger viewing surface, and the dot didn't seem to be obstructed as much in bright light; but also much higher in price. Like the comment goes, I don't want to start with an optic that costs more than the pistol I put it on. Still leaning toward Glock as a host, but the fear of screwing up a good pistol makes me want to look at the availability and cost of a slide change for starters. Give TGO David credit for that thought. lol Never having considered this before, I have to ask this...does buying a second slide require parts changeover, or would it come complete ready to install? I've bought complete Glock frames a few times when tinkering with 22 uppers, but never a slide.
  9. Haven't fully decided which handgun to do yet, but leaning toward the G19 as well. That's not what I shoot a lot, but common enough that if I don't get fond of it, I should be able to move it reasonably. My next choice would probably be the 43X or a Sig 320. Might I ask what RMR you bought for your Glock? I'm so confused by all this, I think my first one is best just a good recommended one at this time. Don't really know enough to start. lol Reading about the optic choices is one thing, actually touching and trying is preferable. But I don't know of anyplace to readily try a selection.
  10. Thanks. Not really looking for a lot of flash, just slide milled for an optic. This looks very helpful.
  11. Won't work for my sidekick. She absolutely hates the smell of Hoppe's. Makes me shower after cleaning guns. Says I smell up the house.
  12. Thanks for the information. I'll definitely check it out.
  13. Had many a Taurus, but never 669. No issue, I just never seemed to run across one. I think it's a fine looking revolver. I think I could like it.
  14. I don't feel guilty! I like it! And get a 22Mag cyclinder for it, and I'll be very happy with it. Definitely going on my Need...err Want list!
  15. That would require a shift in thinking on the liberal/gun hating left. And that's not very likely.
  16. Sort of a joke, but...Soon we are going to be told that if a firearm is stolen in a home burglary... We will be liable for that! Didn't secure it from home theft.
  17. Mine, ala TGO David, wasn't too bad. Trigger was pretty good actually, and I seemed to shoot it pretty well...or at least as well as I shoot. But that mag release was a total pita! Took a grip change and 2 hands to drop a mag. I still have it. Way too many people knew enough about the P10 for me to sell it. lol And the trade value on it sucked! Actually, I didn't try to sell it. I figured I wasn't going to give someone else a pistol with such a bad history. If nothing else, I'll shoot out the mag and throw it at whatever zombie is coming after me.
  18. Sort of reminds me of the CZP10. Hope it releases better than the CZ!
  19. Thanks guys. I'll have to save a few pennies before having anything done, but I guess that will be my first choice.
  20. Between the Mauser C96 and the Browning Inglish with a shoulder stock accessory, I had high hopes and dreams. Was never willing to pay for the cost of either to own.
  21. I had a chance to trade for a "Red Nine" at the first Military Collectors show I attended in Cool Springs some years back. I flubbed it. Instead of agreeing immediately to the trade, I let the seller, who was a bit hesitant, think about it overnight. Needless to say, I really regret that move. I won't be so nice the next time. From my understanding, these can be pita guns, but just so neat looking, and lots of history with them. Always wanted one. Maybe someday before I get older and more feeble. Thanks for the pic, Jeb48. One of the more memorable for me.
  22. Good to know. I haven't range tested mine yet, but anxious to try them. I agree on the stock. These guys seem to be set to offer quite a bit of innovation for us.
  23. Thanks. I'll be looking to try something else. Wife just doesn't appreciate the aroma of Hoppe's 9 in the mornings.
  24. Thanks. That would be nice. Didn't notice where you were from. Maybe jhc77, you, and I could get together sometime.
  25. To be honest, I'm not a fan of stippling. I know it has a function, and agree that it serves that purpose well. I just haven't warmed up to a pistol with that done on it. That being said, this is one of the nicest stippling jobs I've seen. It has a uniformity to it that really is spectacular. It doesn't look like a quickie job on the kitchen table while having an adult beverage or three. It's quite well done as far as I'm concerned. Like the looks of your undercuts on the frame too. would love to see how it feels.
