Carnival Kia owner Chris Bostick arrested on weapons, assault charges

Recommended Posts

It could be a lot. TN law says that a felon in possession of a firearm, who has been convicted of a felony involving a deadly weapon, will be charged with a class C felony. The range on that is 3-15 years (3-6 for someone with little or no prior record). Interestingly, possession of a handgun is 1-6 as an E felony, but you can assume from the article that a long gun was involved (AND a handgun, actually). In the fed I believe it would be up to 10.

Worst case, he could get popped for both pistol and rifle in both state and federal, possible consecutive sentencing.

Domestic Violence & a felon ... I knew I didn't like that guy.

What's the standard charge/sentence for a convicted felon owning a firearm?

Anyone else find it strange she had a recording of it?

Yeah, that stuck out to me, too.

It was a setup ... Maybe she was planning to him that "she" was really a "he" and had an operation to make "he" a "she" ... (S)he knew it would piss him off, and wanted to record the confrontation.

That, or she's putting together an exit strategy with a few extra zeros on the end of it.

First thing I do when I get hit in the face with a door... call 911. I know for a fact that the door isn't done with me, and I need to be saved. I really dislike the Kia guy, but there's some BS. Somebody posta picture on and AK-15. I bet they're really cool (and scary).

I've heard some crazy stories involving this guy ad his antics. I doubt this was the first domestic assault incident. Probably why she had a recorder. Did any of you notice for a short time she didn't appear of the commercials and then suddenly she was back.

The really funny part about that pic is that it got lifted and used in a gunshop advert. Oops.

I will laugh if it turns out she purchased the firearms for him and she gets slammed just as hard as he does. It is also strange to me that she had a recorder going.

Just saw the story on channel 2, they said she took the officers around the house and showed them where he had the guns, so she knew he illegally owned firearms long before this happened. Also, I don't know Florida laws but I know in TN. it's just a misdomenor to carry a handgun without a permit, not a felony, maybe there's more to the Florida arrest than told. WKRN actually said AR-15 in the story but showed a stock photo of what looked like an M-16 with an M-203 grenade launcher attached to it, boneheads.

The article doesn't specify whether or not the carrying concealed charge was at the same time, but it states that he was arrested in Florida for reckless driving, resisting arrest and fleeing.

I'm not familiar with Florida law, but I wouldn't be surprised if carrying concealed while committing those other times would make carrying concealed a felony.
