 My first was a Dan Wesson pistol pack in .357, got to hurting for money and sold it years ago.

Now I have been picking up a few.

Wheel guns? I've got a few...

From left to right there is a 50's era Colt Official Police; Ruger Blackhawk 357/9mm; Ruger GP100; Ruger SP101 in .22; S&W Model 66 357; S&W Model 36.



I love them all but have a special fondness for the Colt and the S&Ws. The Colt I inherited from my grandpa, he got it from a long time friend of his who was LE. His friend got sick and sold it to my grandpa to keep it out of his sons hands as apparently he was a hood.

The S&Ws are some of my fathers work guns from his 36 year career as a Police Officer. They are in my custody as I love to shoot them and he rarely goes anymore, but I hope not to own them for a very, very long time.

All of them are more accurate then I am.

Almost forgot the black sheep of the revolver collection, the Nagant.

This one may or may not be more accurate than me. (Probably it is, I suck) I don't know for sure as I haven't yet and have no plans to shoot it.

The 20lb trigger has something to do with it. ;)

Also I bought it as an after thought when I first got my C&R and placed an order for a bunch of other crap. I have ammo for it so I guess I might one day, but realistically I have others that are just more enjoyable to me.

I've never really been a revolver guy...I guess I love my autoloaders, especially 1911s too much.

 

I do have one, though, my "Dirty Harry" S&W Model 29 blued with full 8 3/8" barrel...and I do love it.

They are surprisingly accurate. My experience at least with the Russian ammo.

I've had revolver fever for a long time...its an incurable disease. I don't have pictures of most of them, but here are a few of the ones that I have taken pictures of for various reasons.

 

First is my S&W 17-6 with full underlug 8 3/8" barrel

 

 

Next up is my S&W model 64-3 and one of my S&W model 60s, which is slightly modified. :)

I think you can buy a replacement spring that will lighten the trigger up.  I've also read on the internet, where you can make some adjustmene pts to the spring and lighten it up without altering the pistol, permanently.

Just cleaning out 70-100 years of gunk from the action usually makes a big difference.  After cleaning and a light oiling, it will be much more manageable.  Most have a decent single-action trigger.  The pistol is stronger than most give credit for.  I've fired some pretty stout reloads in both 7.62 Nagant cases and also .32 H&R mag cases.  I haven't seen any signs of over-pressure or loosening of the pistol.

I'm mostly a S&W K Frame fan, but have a couple of others as well.

 

S&W M13-3 My current favorite. Shhh don't tell the others :)

 

S&W M10-6 Hands down the best trigger out of the bunch.

H&R 999 Sportsman.

 

 

And my black sheep member of the herd. A truly fine piece of German engineering, a Rohm-RG38. The DA timing is off so bad that it shears the jacket off of a SJ round in DA. To say the least is does not get loaded anymore. Only redeeming value is the super heavy trigger pull to build trigger finger strength. After 50 squeezes of this thing makes the K-Frame triggers feel like 2 oz :)
