Know What Stinks?

As a whitewater kayaker, I love it when it rains long and hard in the summer. It brings up the creeks and rivers. Although, I'm not sure this event is going to be quite enough. Probably will be great river levels on Monday, when I have to be at work.

Here's a song that is my kayaking mantra. Maybe it will pick up your spirits:

I would rather have the water falling from the sky than rolling off my back....humidity sux....the rain is a welcome relief....jmho

Spend a few tours in the sandbox and you'll welcome every season. Not enough rain this year yet if you ask me.

What these guys said.  Tennessee has more than enough hot as f**k days during the summer- and even during spring a fall.  A few cooler days with some rain to keep the grass and other things that grow in good health is a good thing.

I was making calls for work yesterday sitting on a porch while enjoying the nice temps and light breeze at 6pm.  That's a novelty this time of year and I loved it.

A very rainy Saturday in the middle of July, with high temperatures in the 70s in TENNESSEE!

What really stinks is a rainy Saturday when you can eat breakfast, then drink chicken broth, clear jello and clear popcicles for the rest of the day, then all day sunday including drinking a gallon of cholyte later. Guess what test i'm having Monday? :yuck:

I've had one before about 6 years ago, at least they knock you out for it, that's one test I wouldn't want to be awake for. I think they are doing both since I had those bleeding ulcers a while back, I'll be sure to tell them to scope my stomach first. :ugh:

We got lucky enough to have a enclosed trailer to haul everything with, and just when we'd get really hot from picking the heavy things up, it would come a light shower and cool us off. We're 100% out of our old house and 99% unpacked into this one. You won't hear me complain about the rain one bit. If it had been 90 degrees and humid, today I don't think me and my crew (family) would have been able to truck along all day like we did.

Thanks for the reminder that I need to call the Franklin Gut Clinic tomorrow and see when I'm due for my next one.

That's life when you get up in age, you start getting stuck with more probs and needles. I'm getting mine done at the VA, years ago I believe at M.Boro they infected a few vets with disease after a colonoscopy because they didn't sterilize the equipment properly. That's the kind of thing that makes you say EEEWWWWW.
