This man was figuratively and literally anally raped by the police, the judge who signed the warrant and the doctors who performed the searches. Every single person involved should be held personally, and physically accountable. I do have to give credit where due and commend the doctors at the first hospital who refused to assist due to its obviously being an unethical action.3 points

And if you decide to go to ORSA next Saturday i'll be happy too meet up with you somewhere and you can follow me to the range and i'll step you through everything.2 points

They also have a new shooters meeting before everymatch that a new shooter must attend. they will go over some of the rules, range commands, and safety issues. Really the only thing you should worry about is being safe and having fun. when you show up make sure your gun is unloaded and there is not a mag in the firearm. that gun also has too remain in its holster until you are getting ready to shoot and are told you can "load and make ready"2 points

You just show up pay your entry and they give you a score sheet. they will say form x amount of lines with x amount of people. these are called squads. get in a sqaud and they will tell you what designated bay too go to. then you hand in your score sheet too the scorekeeper. they will call out the first 3 shooters using terms like. X is our shooter Y is on deck Z is in the hole.2 points

I watched it just now. Too much "happy endings" at the end. If someone had a knife on my dad they wouldn't get any "hey drop the knife". What I took away from it was city folks are hosed.2 points

Huffing gas and spray paint is pretty destructive to one's health, yet I can still get a gallon of gas for less than a gallon of milk. Any half wit with access to the Internet can take legally bought items and turn them into dangerous drugs (or bombs). I'm not convinced those types of people would be clean no matter what you outlawed. They will always be a skid mark in society's undies. Why criminalize an inanimate object for the sins of the person who abuses it? They will be an addicted waste of oxygen either way, committing crimes to support their habit and doing nothing to be productive, however, decriminalizing the inanimate object comes with a cheaper price tag to society. A least then we could focus on locking up the lawbreakers who commit crimes with actual victims as opposed to prosecuting people for having certain chemicals.2 points

I'll just repeat my question about whether he racked the slide before pulling the trigger. It doesn't make a huge amount of difference but I'm definitely curious.2 points

Want to get a youngster interested in the shooting sports? Get a decent air rifle, and make some "reactive' targets. Beats shooting paper all to pieces for keeping up interest. Grandkids helped build them and have worn them out shooting over the years.2 points

My EDC is a Ruger SR9c. Love it and would not trade it for anything. American made, in America, by Americans, working for an American company. It gets no better.2 points

I am seeing a lot of the mindset the article references displayed here. The thought that the libertarian vote would belong to Republicans or conservatives if not for a third party candidate is just plain wrong. As a general rule libertarians and republicans don't agree on social issues. Where we do agree is on the stated fiscal positions of the Republicans like shrinking the size of government. The big problem is that the Republicans don't have any credibility when it comes to shrinking the size of government. Y'all talk a good game then expand it every chance you get, yes that includes Saint Ronnie Raygun. So why should we vote for a Republican if we have any other option at all?2 points

Exactly, and it makes young people toss out everything they previously thought about a particular drug as they now feel everything they've been told is a lie. It's like the preacher's daughter that stays locked up and told that boys are the devil. Eventually they figure out what they were told was a lie, then they go over the deep end on penises. We should educate people on facts, not emotions and half truths.1 point

Yeah Facebook is kind of a PITA sometimes, like how many times do I need to see you post what you had for supper??? But many of us here on TGO include the info that we have a TN HCP, NRA member, Military service, Law enforcement, should we be banned from schools because of that? NO! Should we have to remove that info we want to share? NO! IMHO the school is totally in the wrong here.1 point

I don't get the question, how was she stupid? The principal is clearly a little mamby pamby, but from I got out of the story, the lady in question was barred for posting a picture on Facebook. Posting a picture, on Facebook. Really?! Maybe I wouldn't do it but I'd call it a bit reckless at best. Plus for all we know she blurred her address out, in which case it's really no big deal. Had she been going on campus armed or making obscene/threatening remarks, then whatever but in this case it seems shady. There's also no mention whatsoever as the context of the post, just reference to some other mundane posts. Keep in mind she was banned from a PUBLIC school because of a post involving having a carry permit on the Internet and the stupidity seems pretty one sided to me. Plus she is asking for a public apology? As appossed to a financial law suit? The school board should dismiss the principal and start puckering up and kissing her butt.1 point

Here' another. THE QUEENS RIDDLE Obama asks the Queen "Your Majesty, how do you run such an efficient government? Are there any tips you can give me?" "Well," said the Queen, "The most important thing is to surround yourself with intelligent people." Obama frowned, and then asked, "But how do I know if the people around me are really intelligent?" The Queen took a sip of champagne. "Oh, that's easy; you just ask them to answer an intelligent riddle, watch" The Queen pushed a button on her intercom. "Please send Tony Blair in here, would you?" Tony Blair walked into the room and said, "Yes, your Majesty?" The Queen smiled and said, "Answer me this please Tony. Your mother and father have a child. It is not your brother and it is not your sister. Who is it?" Without pausing for a moment, Tony Blair answered… "That would be me." "Yes! Very good." said the Queen. Obama went back home to ask Joe Biden the same question. "Joe, answer this for me." "Your mother and your father have a child. It's not your brother and it's not your sister. Who is it?" "I'm not sure," said Biden. "Let me get back to you on that one." He went to his advisors and asked everyone, but none could give him an answer. Frustrated, Biden went to work in congressional gym and saw Paul Ryan there. Biden went up to him and asked, "Hey Paul, see if you can answer this question." "Shoot Joe." “Your mother and father have a child and it's not your brother or your sister. Who is it?" Paul Ryan answered, "That's easy, it's me!" Biden smiled, and said, "Good answer Paul!" Biden then, went back to speak with President Obama. "Say, I did some research and I have the answer to that riddle." "It's Paul Ryan !" Obama got up, stomped over to Biden, and angrily yelled into his face, "No! You idiot! It's Tony Blair!" ..AND THAT MY FRIENDS IS PRECISELY WHAT'S GOING ON AT THE WHITE HOUSE1 point

Does anyone remember how the drug culture got started in the 60's and 70's? Drugs were supposed to open our minds and give us depth we had never achieved before because we were stifled by the constraints of laws, rules, and "societal norms". Sound familiar? Didn't work too well for the hippies then and it won't work now no matter how you recolor the argument. Arguments made with a false premises are false arguments no matter how loud you yell it or how many people agree with you. As far as Mr. Hart he is using the same argument they have always made. Arguing the tree and ignoring the forest. The real question is why? IMO - The drug culture of our society is as linked to medical/pharmaceutical and politics as anything else. By leading people to believe that all their problems can be solved by a simple pill or a single elected official has lead us to a dependent society. Whether that be drugs or government it is all a symptom of the same root cause of a lack of personal accountability. Even Hart's own study proves that when he talks about why low income folks are more subject to cocaine addiction and violence without the transition upwards. People in low income demographics are also proportionally and statistically to be low accountability people, which accounts for the crime rates and imprisonment rates across those same socio-economic demographics. Folks who have less or nothing to loose tend to not care about the consequences of their action on themselves or others. It should be said that folks on the other end (high socio-economic demographic) also suffer from the same issues due to the same root cause - lack of accountability. They are just able to stay afloat longer due to their money and connection abilities.1 point

If the media's motives were in the right place (an oxymoron I know) it would try to tone down coverage of these events that turn out to be less than catastrophic. Every moron knows when they go out with a "bang" they will be on MSNBC, CNN, etc. live ... or recently live. I'm convinced they want to fuel the fire for their political motive of control the sheeple. But, I state the obvious. Their motives are so incredibly immoral.1 point

I don't get it. Are you saying it doesn't lock back on last round? Or when successfully locked back, there's not physically enough space for the round to go up in front of and into bolt face to chamber, in other words can only be loaded from a closed bolt? If the second, that would be an engineering fail of rather spectacular proportions seems? - OS1 point

No big deal, we can just get it from China from now on.1 point

Smith and Wesson 442. 5rds of 38sp +p It's a little thicker than other options, but pockets well for me with a good holster. I use a black hills leather holster. Long smooth DA trigger, same every time - it's consistent and accurate. :2cents:1 point

I'm not trying to steer you away from buying from those guys, but I'd say research them just as you would anyone. As far as the 2 tone deal, I'm not a big fan of the upper and lower being different colors, but now the same color looks great to me. I like when the handguard gets done as well. I also may or may not be coating a build right now, I cannot confirm or deny. Pictures:1 point

No third party will ever have a chance of winning if they never get your vote in the first place. Voting for a Republican or a Democrat at this point only reinforces the status quo and helps ensure that we do not change course. If you like the direction this country is moving, keep voting for the two major parties cause they are both leading is down the tubes.1 point
-
Dave, I don't vote to get to claim I was on the winning side, I vote FOR someone because I support enough of their positions and have at least a little faith that they will actually work to achieve them. I will no longer cast a vote for a candidate I don't like or believe in because "at least he isn't the other guy". That's a losing proposition no matter how you look at it.1 point

Being by nature a sneak, I conceal my .357 behind my leg when answering the door during daylight hours. I don't respond to unexpected knocks after dark. I haven't had a need for a sign yet. Saw a nifty doormat at the flea market today - it said "Come back with a warrant.". :D1 point

Not for me.....been too accident prone here lately. lol I'll do the "s-l-o-w-l-y" method. If they sold the hides (apparently they don't) his technique would be a no-go. But he's fun to watch just the same! DaveS1 point

I shot one 3 times with a .45 and XTP's and it still ran off. I shot another and I know I hit it 5 of the 9 shots in the .22 revolver and never stopped it. I shot a few with .22wmr that ran off too. However, not a single one ran off after being shot with a 300gr .44mag. We had some hunting property near Chiefland, FL and they were everywhere. They would dig holes all over the campsite and you'd dang near break an ankle going to take a leak. We decided to put them on the hit list and spent several years popping every one we saw. Tough little buggers. I had one chase me once, jumped up at me several times. I ran like a girl and jumped in the boat before shooting it. My buddy still busts on me about that day. Yup.1 point

Government sponsored monopoly and fiber optic? Wow! This is just too good when you reconcile that with stuff like PRISM. I bet they don't even have to go to court. They just build the splitter going to the NSA right into the system... Not that you're apparently any better off with your local independent ISP. The government has clearly shown that they can get that data as well even without the ISP's knowledge.1 point
