On that note, there’s not a bridge structure on earth that can withstand the force of impact from a 300M/97,000 ton vessel.6 points

Yep. I wonder how much prices in general are going to go up now due to this new hitch in the supply chain. I’m being a bit facetious, but also serious. Where do the boats with European ammo shipments land? Hope it’s not around there.4 points

Due to the restrictions, I wont ship the batteries. To many rules and regs to follow and to my cost. 3 - 5.0 batteries for $180 cash with local meetup Or will trade for cash value in .44 special or .45 ACP ammo. Self defense or target. I picked these up think I was gonna make the switch to Milwaukee a few months ago, and then changed my mind after the fact since I didnt wanna replace everything. Cheapest price I can find is $70 each on Amazon so lets call it $180 for all 3 batteries as a set. Thats $60 each, but Id rather sell then all together. Milwaukee XC5.0 Redlithium batteries, part # 48-11-1850. One package has had a sale sticker of some kind stuck to it, but all 3 are sealed in the in orginal clamshells. Meet up local to Oak Ridge, Clinton or West Knox, possibly Lenoir City.3 points

Probably not a bad idea. The monsters are no larger than before but there are more of them and they are more emboldened since the current judicial system tends to side with them. "Better to be judged by twelve than carried by six....."3 points

Had my shoulder scoped (3-18-24) on Monday, and really feeling it today. Bone spurs. Removed 2 large ones and cleaned up rotator cuff where the spurs damaged. Very sore this morning. Go for bandage change tomorrow and set P T in motion. Been dealing with much pain for over a year. Was on blood thinner for 4 heart stent insertion last year. Looking forward to improvements.3 points

It was amazing how fast it collapsed. I probably shouldn't have been so surprised but you think something big will take a while but it's not like there are many support points and they are all crucial.3 points

Depending on the transportation of goods affected by this incident, you might be paying out of pocket at the store just like everyone has in the past 4 years. Prices have gone up tremendously and that is directly related to pandemic policies and the disruption of the supply chain. If the bridge is that important then “we” will pay to rebuild it asap. Your tax dollars, mine, and everyone else that pays federal taxes. Even Biden’s government will go after whoever they can for compensation from insurance or the shipping company that owns the defective ship.2 points

My first question is WHY don't you use it anymore. I'm hoping because you got a better one or some alternative vs simply "I quit using it". Sorry/Not sorry about the health challenge, but I couldn't imagine being without mine. Total game changer.2 points

Just to save some time, here is a link to Google Maps showing its location, if you're interested. https://www.google.com/maps/place/Francis+Scott+Key+Bridge,+Baltimore,+MD/@39.2296089,-76.6271455,10z/data=!4m6!3m5!1s0x89c80052ddeb3cad:0xf3fb8c8f100a3e9e!8m2!3d39.2144778!4d-76.5316628!16zL20vMDR2Njgw?entry=ttu There is a big ole red exclamation point over it on the map now.2 points

It’s also gonna have a major impact on trucking (especially hazmat transportation) along the east coast. This is a big deal.2 points

Nothing wrong with it in my opinion. I have the 1st rifle I ever shot. But I had to purchase my grandfathers entire collection from the "estate" to get it. 100% worth it2 points
-
Absolutely not. I have a single shot .22 that belonged to my Grandpa and I probably havent shot it a dozen times in 20 years. It has a permanent place in my gun case because no amount of money can buy those memories and that provenance2 points

Putting this out there to see if there is any interest. It can hapilly stay in the safe if there isn't any. 1969 Colt Gold Cup National Match original box comes with 2 colt mags. No papers. In great original condition. Royal bluing is still great. Happy to send additional photos. Price is 2800- pickup in Mt Juliet. You are welcome to come and inspect it. Hard to find one in this good of shape with the original box. Thank you and God Bless1 point

Yeah, and the western leg of the 695, which is 3 times the distance of the leg that the FSK was on is about to get a whole lot more congested with trucks.1 point

In all the years I've carried, a .380 mouse gun or .38 snub nose have kept the monsters from even thinking about bothering me. Maybe I should upgrade to a 10mm.1 point

I have all of one of my grandfathers long guns and a couple of my other grandfathers long guns.( mostly single shot rifles and shotguns.). The majority of them I have no interest in shooting, I just have them because of who they belonged to. Is it wrong to keep them knowing I’ll never use them?1 point
-
if you have room for them, keep them. Even if you don't have a sentimental attachment, maybe someone else in the family will or does. Personally, I'd sooner add another safe than get rid of gun with sentimental value.1 point

A buddy and I made a volcano for science class. We melted some red candles for lava and burned some green army men to put in the path of the lava. We also shot them off the fence with bb guns too. good times, huh?1 point

I will add that my granddad traded me his 20 gauge side-by-side for a cheap .25 semi-auto that I had from when I was on the Sheriff's department in 1982. Granddad tried to get my dad into hunting like he was, and he used it extensively while my dad used a .410. After I left the P.D. in 1993, life got extremely tough for us for the next 11-years or so that included numerous moves, and his shotgun was broken and rusted. I felt that it was too bad to fix, so I got rid of it. I loved my granddad but I wasn't all THAT close to him because he lived in Enid, OK when I grew-up in Kansas City, MO. However, it's a decision that I regret to this day now that he and my father have passed. Really, it was my only connection to him, and it's gone.1 point

Interesting that we're having so many catastrophic transportation events under the current administration. I wonder how long it'll take for our transportation secretary to get involved THIS time?1 point

I've got my grandfather's 12 gauge bolt action shotgun and S&W model 18. The shotgun is the first I ever shot. The S&W was the interest I paid him on a college loan - he wouldn't agree to interest so I gave him the gun when I made the last payment. He said he didn't want it, so I told him to toss it in the lake. He passed away years later but still hadn't made that trip to the lake... Both are priceless to me.1 point

Why would it be bad? People keep all kinds of things for purely sentimental reasons. At least guns have a use and overall normally increase in value. My Dad has a very heartfelt request I get my Papaw's police sidearm. I remember that chrome Model 19 riding on his hip when I was a kid. Same as my Dad's .444 Marlin Lever gun. It is the association of each to them that makes them more than wood and steel. Once gone you can never get that back.1 point

Have gone to a Glock 48 or Sig 365 because of age. 1911's and Gock 17's were too big and the all metal guns too heavy. Getting old kind of sucks.1 point

P238 for pocket carry errands/work. P938 for lighter social situations or formal wear. Winter is when men get to accessorize with their gear and carry choice. Snubby in the tool bag so no one gets offended if I’m in their residence crawling around and accidentally print.1 point

I do apologize. If not for someone mentioning this to me on social media I would not known to address this. I do take full responsibility for the negative review. The laps in a response threw me off a bit. Next time I will definitely give more time for a response. Again apologies to you.1 point
