  1. Bought this as a beater gun, came in last week - chopped the shell tube so a remmy 870 +3 extension would fit on it and popped on a fast fire III. Since the optic was free last year, This guy is all in under $400. Not shabby for a 9 round semi 12ga. stock after

  2. If you're over 21, it doesn't matter. What does this have to do with an SKS thread from 3 years ago?

  3. Beautiful holster!! I always loved the all leather holsters. I have/had a real nice one for my Canik 9mm loaned it and the gun to my daughter for home protection, I miss that gun always such fun to shoot, but better off protecting her and my grand daughter than sitting in the safe.

  4. This Fall is going to be pretty insane for me with my wife and I expecting another child "any day now" but I'd like to try and organize a Meet n' Shoot for late September or early October if at all possible. Very likely on a Saturday at the Charlie Haffner Memorial Range. It's a safe but casual environment and more conducive to being able to get some shooting in and socializing without being constrained or flooded with sound the way you are at indoor ranges. Thoughts?

  5. The leather IWB holster that I ordered from Tim Thurner over at TTGunLeather arrived yesterday and fits my P10C like a glove! Of course, it was made specifically for the P10C and *should* fit like a glove. I have a long-standing practice of ordering a "Mike's Special" from Tim anytime I buy a handgun that will likely see carry duty. Consequently, I have a library of his holsters, all of the similar design, for a lot of handguns. They have always been of top quality, rugged and reliable, and extremely comfortable to wear.

  7. If you haven't noticed it yet, I enabled the new "CLUBS" feature of the forum software this morning. Right now only I can create clubs but I will look to expand that some as we all come to understand how the feature works and can be used for TGO. You can check them out here: TGO Clubs. Please feel free to use this thread to suggest new Clubs. I've started us off with some Clubs that relate to the major cities / metropolitan areas in Tennessee to act as rally points. I'm already thinking of some things like... Reloading / Casting Competitive Shooters

  8. For general use get an AC/DC. And sign up for a class or get with someone to show you a little. I welded all my working life. It only takes about 15 min. to learn, and a life time to perfect it.

  9. Yeah, I got that same email. I have not received mine yet so I don't know if they still intend to ship them or not. The tv news was talking about how to test them...something about holding them in front of a car headlight at night and making sure that no light passes through the lens. I may try this if I get them.

  12. I remember the fifties with the school drills and the back yard bomb shelters. And the sixties when we realized that the half life of the radiation would be beyond our great great grandchildren's lifetime. And if the politicians gum bumping and the military antimissile missiles don't work we're in the same place we would be before all the fear mongering. Just find a chair, sit in it, bend as far forward as you can, and kiss your ass goodby.

  13. I'm with Omega. The fat kid is smarter, and way less crazy than he acts. Trump called his hand. He has to know that he will be zorched off the face of the planet if he launches ANY nukes.

  15. So in case anyone was wondering. If you push the button while the knife is pointing into your hand it will go in about 1/4". I was showing mine to a guy at work who did exactly that.... I was amused.

  16. I don't think NK posses any danger, nuke wise to the US, even Guam. The danger there is China and Russia, but IMHO only if we strike first. As to my screen name, it's not as ominous as all that. Last name starts with O, and many of my troops, and supervisors had trouble pronouncing it so they just called me Sgt O, when another O showed up, he was shorter than me so they started calling me Big O, so when I started doing things online I chose Omega [O (mega)], because I thought it sounded better than Big O.

  19. What is sad is that we have let this regime blackmail us for as long as we have. We should of stood firm like this back before they had the capability to threaten us.

  23. How in the world in 2017 does a manufacturer design and build a production gun that fails a drop test? W. Edwards Deming must be rolling in his grave.

  24. The number one rule of shotguns is that if you're not shooting it, you need to be feeding it. Where most are really lacking is in practicing to reliably develop those skills. The Aguilas are fun little lower recoil shells, but all-in-all you'd be way better of spending that money on more of your normal ammo and really honing your skills. The shotgun is round for round just about the most destructive personal weapon system we have. But, when it comes to fighting with one - if you don't have your stuff really squared away it's liable to bite you. I'd just go with some 00 buck and call it a day.

  25. A couple of months ago I got on the hunt for an SKS D, M, or Sporter that would take AK mags. I ended up buying a Sporter, but in the process was turned onto this page, http://chinesesks.weebly.com/m.html, it is also a great reference for the ole SKS.

  26. Well, I changed my attitude towards the whole thing as soon as China said they would stay neutral if Kim launched an attack first. With them at bay, we could decimate that entire country and turn it into a theme park.... As long as they don't hit Seoul first.
