  1. I copied a pasted this from another forum. walkout because you're forced to share a bathroom with the opposite sex. walkout because you have to ask permission to use the restroom. walkout because your school banned Huck Finn for being a racist. walkout because you are told what to read, rather than left free to choose. walkout because your teacher is terrible. walkout because your school forces you to sit in a class with students who don't want to be there and who interfere with students who want to learn and who care about their future. walkout because its 78 degrees and sunny outside. walkout because the windows don't open and are the size of a mail slot. walkout because you refuse to be treated like an inmate. walkout because you're not being taught real history. walkout because your school thinks normal kid behavior is a disorder and wants to put you on drugs. walkout because you're being trained to be a leftist robot who only walks out when he's told he should walkout.

  3. Middle Tennessee Shooters Club in Manchester will be hosting a multigun match on Sunday April 8th. I know this is technically not the 1st Sunday of the month but the 1st is Easter, hence the rescheduling. The following divisions will be recognized; Open, Tac ops, Tac limited, Heavy Metal, 2 gun (rifle/pistol), and PCC. It will feature 5 fun and challenging stages. 100 rounds for each gun and 2 slugs should get you through the match if you are shooting one of the 3 gun divisions, bring more if shooting 2 gun or pcc. No slings necessary. You can pre-register on practiscore or at the range on the day of the match. Registration on match day is from 1100 to noon and we'll get started shortly thereafter. I can be reached at sumocrp@aol.com with any questions you may have.

  4. My debit card kept getting unauthorized charges, my bank would catch it, cancel my card then send me a new one. Mostly it's inconvenient, I've not lost a cent but now I use a credit card and haven't had an issue yet, but I keep an eye out just in case. My info has been stolen a few times so I have credit monitoring, but that hasn't stopped the debit card stuff.

  5. Sounds more like your card got skimmed instead of identity theft. It has happened twice to my wife. The first time they got about 100 at a walgreens and the second time they got 600 cash from an atm withdrawal. Both time we got our money back from the bank. Once your our card is cancelled you should be fine. Just keep an eye on your account for the next couple of days.

  7. Carrying on school property is a felony. But, the law also clearly states that you cannot be criminally charged for carrying illegally if you used the weapon in justifiable self defense. The key word there is "criminally". There's no protection from the civil suit that would likely occur.

  8. I do. I've shot full house magnums in a J-frame 640 and it didn't get "out of hand." The 640 wasn't as accurate as the 686 2 1/2 though.

  9. If you are carrying on school property, Tennessee generally prohibits people, even with handgun carry permits, from carrying inside buildings owned by public and private schools and colleges. There are some exceptions and one of those is that private schools and colleges can allow carry by policy to make it legal. I highly doubt many private schools have written policy making carry by people with permits legal in the buildings. Full time faculty and staff can carry at public colleges and universities. You might want to look at 39-17-1309 for carrying on school property. One offense is intent to go armed on school property (felony) and the other is possession of a firearm (misdemeanor) on school property and the exceptions to that. It sounds like you were at it would not matter if there were 'no guns' signs or not. What matters is that it sounds like that is college owned property. It's a bad law that our 'conservative' NRA endorsed legislators don't seem to want to make better for people with handgun carry permits.

  10. I would think that during an incident, the last thing LEO or management would want to do is cause trouble for a CCW permit holder, specially one that helped.

  11. If it's posted, and you obviously know it is, you're pushing your luck. They could ask you to leave, or you could be arrested, depending on the place. If you are required to be there, you might make other arrangements with management, or attend unarmed. JMHO

  12. I finally got around to listening to the first episode. David, I didn’t realize you have such a great radio voice. Content was great. Definitely was pro 2nd Amendment but came across as decently objective as well, which is a good thing when trying to reason with people whom hold differing opinions. Great job! I look forward to hearing more. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  13. I don't know if they are obligated to ask you to leave or not. If they arrested you it would be bad.

  14. I hadn't planned on "wanting" another pistol, but now that I have my HCP, my mind has changed. I really don't know why. I have a .45 ACP XDs and a Keltec P32, already. But dropped the wife and daughter to a baby shower in Maryville and and then swung by Gunny's and then Bill's Outpost (this is a hidden gem here!!!) and looked at a number of small CC firearms. I have to admit that I have never been a fan of of M&Ps but I really liked the Shield I dry fired and also the Cancik TP9??? I also like the looks of the Ruger LCRx with the 3" barrel. So... what to do?

  15. I finally bought the North American Arms mini-revolver. It has taken many years but I have always wanted an NAA mini-revolver. I told myself "That is the last handgun I would buy." Every time I saw one at my LGS, I just couldn't bring myself to buy one because I had other handguns I needed more. I bought the Sidewinder 22 magnum with the bird heads grip and swing out cylinder. I was surprised at how easy this gun is to shoot and how accurate it is a close range. (0-10 feet). At this time, I cannot see the need for more.....so I think I'll start trading in some of my safe queens for new safe queens.

  18. I had one, bought it just to use up the rest of that Wolf ammo. Didn't work, had to beat the empties out. I have one of the Ulta-Mak Forwrd Optic Mounts on one of my Carbines and it works great. I've never had any heating problems with it, but then I don't empty mags as fast as I can either. Here's my Zombie Rifle in all it's glory. I'm gonna move the EOTech to the new AR just to try it out. If I decide to leave it there, I'm thinking I might put this back in the wooden stock (need to refinish it first) and put a LER scope on it. That forward rail has been too good not to keep using it.
