  1. I like it. And it want one. But I’m a sucker for anything Israeli made.
  2. CDNN has them for $169.99 after rebate. https://www.cdnnsports.com/catalogsearch/result/?order=relevance&dir=desc&q=Remington+rp9
  3. Not the R51 but I saw yesterday that CDNN has the RM380 and RP9 on sale for $169.99. I’m thinking Remington should have just stuck with long guns...
  4. Not exactly pertaining to this but the Broomhandles, Lugers, Hi Powers with stocks, etc that are C&R typically require the stock to be original and not reproduction. That varies by model though.
  5. Correct. Even folding stock variations of rifles are technically measured with the stock unfolded such as an AK or SCAR
  6. I didn’t see a barrel length listed for that model, so I didn’t know. I edited to add my first post after you quoted but the Tavor X95 in its original Israeli configuration has a 16” barrel but is less that 26” overall. It had to be lengthened for the US market to not be an SBR.
  7. Yes the RONI kits are typically SBR conversion kits. I haven’t looked but I’m sure they probably have a chassis kit with a pistol stabilizing brace instead of the typical stock configuration. Edit: that’s actually the first kit listed in your pic, I should have looked closer first. The stabilizing brace kit would be legal, one with a stock would not. If it has a stock and a barrel length less than 16” it’s a SBR. You could convert it to a rifle if you had a 16” glock barrel (not sure such a thing even exists or if it would work in the RONI kit), however there is the ATF rule “ once a rifle, always a rifle. To legally convert it you would put the long barrel in first, then the stock. But once the stock is put on, you can never put the short barrel back in even if you remove the stock first. It cannot legally be a Title 1 pistol again. The difference where the 26” overall length comes into play is something that was manufactured as a firearm and not a pistol or rifle such as a AR receiver or a pistol grip shotgun. Those are classified as a “firearm” and have different regulations than something that fits in an ATF category. Edit to add: in the ATFs and the laws eyes, the keyword is OR. If it has a barrel length less than 16” it’s an SBR. OR if it has an overall length less than 26” it’s an an SBR. It doesn’t need to be both, just one condition either less than 26” OAL OR less than 16” bbl while having a stock makes an SBR. This is why bullpup rifles have to be 26” OAL or longer to avoid being SBRs even though they have 16” barrels.
  8. I have seen nothing that comes close to the Surefire integrated forend. Not cheap by any means so not sure you’d get “bang for your buck” but I’ve never been a fan of the other options.
  9. That thread felt more like ARFCOM than TGO.
  10. Found this in a quick Google search. https://thefiringline.com/forums/showthread.php?t=331018 I always understood them to be a more compact and cheaper alternative to the 700. Similar to the 870 Express vs 870 Police. Looks like they may have more in common than I thought. I like to modify my rifles though and that’s why I would choose the 700 due to aftermarket parts.
  11. Just depends on what you prefer really. .45 has more recoil and lower capacity for the same size. 9mm is higher capacity and lower recoil. 1 is just as effective as the other for handgun purposes.
  12. Everything from a Hi Point to a Korth, they all shoot the same bullet (speaking 9mm pistols here). If it’s reliable, and nearly everything is if something isn’t broken, everything else is just personal preference.
  13. For what purpose? Id argue a CZ75 or clone is a better range gun than a Glock 17/19 but I’d never carry one.
  14. Because traditionally the Sig, HK, and Beretta were DA/SA guns and usually more expensive. A relatively light trigger that is the same every time with no manual safety has merit. Lower cost than a new Sig, HK or Beretta. And marketed heavily, whether that is through dirt cheap prices to PDs or heavy use in Hollywood and pop culture.
  15. People do drugs to escape reality. TN Vols have a pretty dismal reality right now. I’d probably do drugs too if Butch was my coach.
  16. When it was announced it was stated to be 50 state legal. Took less than 24 hrs for CA, NY and a few others to say no, they classify firearms differently than the ATF.
  17. Yes. A good haircut is something I can’t do myself and something I place value in. And I don’t like getting change back. It’s the only thing I pay for with cash on a regular basis.
  18. Using logic, I’d say a .500 magnum or .50BMG. But with liberals, I’d say any centerfire rifle cartridge sadly.
  19. I’ve never been to a Costco, but thought that was awfully odd for a business as large as them to not accept some form of credit card.
  20. I carry cash but never use it unless it’s somewhere that only takes cash and in that case I usually know ahead of time. It’s there for just in case. And if anyone asks, I don’t have any cash on me. I HATE having loose change and odd bills. Only carry several 20s and I bust them and either use the change for tips that day or the next or I go deposit in the bank. At a lot of places, it’s just so much easier to swipe the card and go. There is no way I would voluntarily go back to pre paying for my gas with cash.
  21. That’s exactly how it is in England and nearly every other European country.
  22. Events like this (Vegas then the resulting legislation) are how Australia and the UK got their total bans.
  23. This is what my parents did as well. It is quite a bit of work to get the meat out but black walnuts are by far my favorite nut.
