  1. I would value it $100-$200 over a Series II in the same condition.
  2. Find a Ruger Security or Service Six.Same size as a Smith K frame but 10+ times more durable with magnum ammo.
  3. It"s been going on for decades. In 1991 Guns Galore in Chattanooga was broken into the same way.Police said it was a group hitting different cities. One of the guns that was recovered later was in the possession of a LEO in Ala.
  4. Last Sunday while driving I24 between Jasper and the bottom of Monteagle my Granddaughter and I saw a bald eagle flying around the highway. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Thanks guys,I plan to go up there next Fri/Sat I will check those out.
  6. With my Granddaughter's family moving to Murfreesboro I will be spending a fair amount of time in that area. What are the gun stores and pawn shops to check out?.I'm looking for the ones with a good selection of used and or older guns.Seems all you see nowdays even in pawn shops are AR/AK rifles and plastic pistols.Who has a selection of lever rifles,.22 rifles, revolvers, shotguns etc. Thanks in advance.

    Go Vols!

Real fans don't jump ship.Whole lot of crowing from the Bama Bandwagon fans (those who are not from Al or a graduate of UA).Most of those don't even watch the games anyway.
  8. So did Winchester
  9. A stand,hanger, and steel plate target.If I like it and I will I will get 3 more.No more pasting targets.
  10. I have seen the 100 rd sticks of Winchester at the Brainerd Walmart on occasion. The nearby Sportsmans Warehouse,Bass Pro and Cabelas seem to always have it in stock.
  11. Instead of asking us go to a LGS and handle each one and make your own choice.I have owned both and the 17 feels better in my hand.
  12. You want a deal on a lodge skillet? Go to a thrift store
  13. There was a rash of trucks being broke into and guns stolen in Cleveland not long ago,all the trucks had gun stickers on the back window. The article mentions gun shows also.I used to buy, sell, trade at gun shows often in Chattanooga,Knoxville,Nashville loop.In the 80s/90s the big shows in Chattanooga and Knoxville were at the Trade Centers downtown with parking in a multi level parking area.I know of several robberies in those garages including one guy who got a serious concussion in Knoxville when he was hit from behind.
  14. It's Glen he gets it in the books and he's had more lives than a cat on the show
  15. Years ago Shooting USA did an episode on .22 production.I think it was Federal, anyway the area where the priming compound was applied was much larger than shown here. Also the floor was rubber and submerged under 2-3 inches of water to eliminate static shock.
  16. I like 1911s and Glocks because they have a short trigger reset. For that reason I don't like XDs and the Browning Hi-Power.I hate DA auto pistols,I prefer the same trigger pull for each shot.I like S&W revolvers and the old Ruger Six series DA revolvers.I like SA revolvers of all makes.
  17. Federal primer boxes are to Remington primer boxes like Melissa McCartney is to her cousin Jenny McCartney
  18. I"ve used Win,Fed,CCI and Rem all with equal amounts of success. The only time I ever had a light strike issue it was due to primers being seated too high and that was in a Glock 21.Those same rds fired just fine in a 1911.If I had to pick a favorite it would be Remington due to the smaller packaging.
  19. Glenn has to die in order for Maggie to become the leader of the Hilltop
  20. for the last 10-15 yrs its been mostly a Spyderco of some type.I carried a Native for about 6 yrs.For a short time I tried a couple ZTs,the 350 and 550 but just never liked them enough to convert. The last year it's been a Paramilitary 2 with a black blade.
  21. I bought my first Glock in 89,started reloading in 90.Fast forward to 98 when I got on this new fangled internet and folks were saying don't shoot lead in Glocks......never had a problem.
  22. Can't think of the name but I saw an ad for a type of lens used for office work.It is a bifocal but the top section is for intermediate distance (computer screen)  and the bottom set up for reading. Those look to be ideal for handgun shooting.
  23. The original Vaquero is good to go with Ruger only loads. The New Vaquero (thats the actual model name) has the smaller frame and is not suited for the stiff loads it was made to appease the CAS shooters who wanted a grip that felt like a Colt.Irregardless of the fact that there are a number of Colt copies on the market.
  24. Seen a few from time to time around Chattanooga.
  25. ......and in 6 mo everybody will be chomping at the bit ready for the new season to start and find out who it was.The audio of the ending was leaked a few days ago I was hoping that was just a hoax but it was it word for word.
