What's your impression of this shirt?

Recommended Posts

Not my kinda thing. But I'm very plain, mostly solid color work shirts. So anything that really pops like that isn't for me, and it has a gangster kind look that I think is a little extreme. Decent graphics though, good looking shirt if your into that kinda shirt.

^^Same. I wouldn't wear it, a bit too "extreme" in that it looks kinda gansterish but I would def hang a poster like that in my house.

Not my style but no issue with it...  Rather see a smoking hot babe holding a .45 though...

A little too much of a GRAND THEFT AUTO vibe. Not really my style but whatever floats your boat. If I had a man cave or billiard room it'd make a good poster. I think I actually own that hat though.

its one of those amusing to look at but would never, ever buy (or if I did, would not wear in public).

I do not even care to wear subtle hints that suggest I am armed.  The first I want someone to know about my weapon is it pointed at them.   Also, this one specifically is not helpful to our cause -- the guy looks like a thug and the suggested text is that he is in court, pleading his case for some crime he commiteed with a gun?   Not a good message.

I like the message, but having been into muzzle loaders and American history for so long and so hard, rather than the Gangster (which practically screams to me, "Come on over and slap the sh*t out of me because I talk loud, but don't have the **** to back it up.") I'd like to see a somewhat understated Mountaineer type gentleman with a full stock flintlock complete w/shooting bag and powder horn.

Well, at least I'm not alone on this.

This shirt was designed by "group" of 2A supporters out of the Nashville area. I "liked" their Facebook page not long ago.

When they posted the shirt for sale, I offered some constructive criticism regarding the design, which I instantly began to catch flak over. I guess, in part, because I referred the the image of the guy holding the guns as a "Mexican gangster". Come to find out, that image is actually a photograph of one of the guys who started this group. He's not a Mexican.

As soon as I saw the shirt posted, "gangster" or "thug" was the first thing that came to mind, even before the text. I thought it was a poorly throughout design from a group that supports the 2nd Amendment. The same group that's been all over at least one or two media outlets, trying to convince local malls to allow legal gun owners to carry our firearms in their establishments. No way in he'll that shirt design is going to help the cause.

Personally, I think less is more. As far as I am concerned, a shirt with only the text would have been a far better choice. Had I designed the shirt, I would have even removed the American flag. The text says it all. Keep it simple, stupid. Edited by TripleDigitRide
