Ashley Madison Hacked

Recommended Posts

Small victories, as much as a lot of people are scared of cyber crime and "hacktivists" there are some out there who do a good job - and good deeds.

Apparently, there is/was a very successful online site for your S.O to seek out an affair. It is called Ashley Madison and was aimed at women - their motto is "Life is Short. Have An Affair."

Well, a group called the Impact Team has hit their servers, and hit them hard. Sounds like an inside job - they already leaked total network architecture, network administration protocols, employee information and salary.

37 million people used it, and were secured in the thought that if they paid $19 their info would be scrubbed. Follow the money, there is always a trail.

I hope the Impact Team releases this information regardless if the company that owns the domain obeys their order of permenantly taking it down.

Yah its a crime but I'd give these guys medals. Then a job.

Personally I would love to see these guys/gals put behind bars.  Who are they to be the moral police?  The same goes for these guys putting up viruses, anti-virus popup ads, you know the ones that start of  "YOU'VE BEEN HACKED!! and install themselves when you press ok.  The only way anyone should be getting into anyone's personal information is though a warrant, and for that they better have a better reason than cheating.  To me cheating is between the two involved in a relationship, if they feel like doing it so be it.  I get so tired of people getting into everyone's personal business, like Miranda and Blake; who cares why it happened, who cares who cheated on who or with who, that's between them not all these busybodies.

It's not just an immoral act 21 states have laws making adultery illegal. I do beleive TN is one of them.

Anyone who would cheat on their spouse is lower than the :poop: I scrape off my shoe.

In TN it's a civil, not criminal violation...IOW you cannot be arrested for adultery here. There's no question that adultery is despicable but its just as despicable for the male violator as it is for the female violator. Try to list adultery as cause for divorce in TN and let me know how that works out for you. I'll clue you in...you'll spend a ton of money for little or no satisfaction in a no fault divorce state.

If nothing else, people should be held liable for breech of contract. That's all a marriage is, a contract between the two. If you violate the terms of any other contract there is grounds for penalty. Why should this be any different ?

Yep, adultery is hard to get a divorce on alone but in my divorce I didn't just go after wife for that. I had her on desertion of me and my two sons and I even got the guy she left me for charged with Alienation of Affection which is an old old law that is still on the books in Tennessee and he was fined $2,500.00 in my divorce decree when I was given everything I ask for including child support and full custody of both my sons. She got her clothes and her car. That was it...............

37 million members......wow! That's a lot of folks sweating right about now.

Perhaps, but I don't really feel a lot of sympathy towards them. Some may have been there for the public flirtation and teasing aspect of an adult site, some for financial gain others under the perception of discrete adultery. None were right.

I suspect quite a bits changed over the years since this particular divorce occurred. Changes in many locations have excluded alienation of affection and adultery statutes. At one time female adulterers, or ones accused of such, had little to no rights as they hadn't  the income to seek representation. Some courts now will award monetary living and child support to the woman even if she was the guilty party.

No big deal, all these folks need to do is take responsibility and be willing to accept the consequences for their actions.

Here's a novel idea...get divorced before you hook up with the next Mr. or Mrs. Rightnow...

To be caught...that is American https://youtu.be/Mjyh2tgTjrQ

I took a vow 20 years ago to remain faithful to my wife until death do us part.

It is a shame that in today's society most people's word is worthless.

You can damn religion all you want, but the absence of it is the root of this country's downfall.

Yes, moral policing leads down a slippery slope however We as a society need events like this to make people accountable for their actions.

37 million is too damn high. And there are obviously more. Thats a little more than 10% of the population right there - with more people who cheat "analog"

Yah hacking is wrong its breaking the law blah blah blah those people can get bent and DIAF. If youre unhappy get a damn divorce and move on.

I was married to my 1st wife for almost 19 years and never once was unfaithful to her. She knew she didn't have much of a defense to put up so she didn't even hire a lawyer to represent her. She knew she had made her decision and did what she did but her new boyfriend was not expecting to get tagged. Neither of them new about the old laws and my attorney went out of his way to try and find something to punish him for since she was walking out on a man that had never been unfaithful and a child that was terminally ill from his auto accident and in a coma and a younger child still in school.  All of this was made available to the judge during the proceedings which I think may have influenced her decision to prosecute in my favor to the max. My oldest boy has passed on for many years now and my youngest son has not spoke to his mother in many years. I ask him every time I see him if he has spoken with his mother and he said he has nothing to say to her. I told him that he should reach out to her as she is his mother. I told him I have no bad feelings towards her and her health is not good as friends of mine that have bumped into her say she looks terrible but he said he had much more respect for my second wife than he did his own mother. He said Margie ( 2nd wife) was more of a mother to him than his birth mother was and he loved her more than his own mother. I will leave it at that....................

That's all to often the case when someone is caught being unfaithful and know they don't have a leg to stand on, even more so when they still have enough integrity for shame. The betrayal cut's across far more than the marriage and all to often the children will cease to have anything to do with the guilty spouse. I totally agree the ex-wife is still the surviving child's mother and it is unfortunate they've never reconnected. We do have the capacity to forgive but its impossible to forget.

First of all let me say that I hate that a site like that exists and have no compassion if they were to get caught.

However, if it isn't against the law, and it isn't in some places, who are they to be the moral police?

If they want to actually make a difference and be real moral police, go shut down the child pornography and other pedophile websites. There is so much out there that is worse than this "Ashley Madison" website.

I'd bet a hefty amount that somebody in this hacker group had their wife/husband cheat on them using this site, so they got their hacker buddies to help them shut it down out of vengeance.

Exactly.....a persons word should stand for something. In many cases a mans word is all you have. Once that's gone....well.....what do you have left?
