Gunman opens fire in Lafayette, LA Movie Theater

Recommended Posts

He was supposedly in the back of the theater shooting downwards. Did he shoot only a few times and then shoot himself? Seems someone would have tackled his punk a$$ since the gun was pointed forward. Unless it was empty being a Thursday and he had the room and time to commit this cowardly act!

Shooter was an older white male. Stood up about 30minutes in to the movie and opened fire shooting downward in to the other seats. 2 confirmed dead and 8+ injured.

That's what I'm gathering so far. I cannot believe both the states I consider home have both had shootings like this within a week of each other.

It's been a deadly week, the terrorist attack in Chattanooga, last Thursday, a family of five stabbed to death in California, another family of five stabbed to death in Oklahoma and now this.

They are saying that two victims were killed and 7 wounded and then the gunman killed himself in Baton Rouge. The weapon used was a handgun.

For some reason I'm gonna bet he knew one of or both of the deceased. Who knows?

I have no idea. But why were so many others injured?
I never like to speculate, but with all the gun related shootings.
I'm betting it was random. None of this is going to help gun owners.
I don't have the answer(s) to what might or might not stop these type things.
But they (the government) will enact something, if for nothing else to at least
say. "Hey, we tried."

I truly hope this type thing never happens again.

Typical of the news media, there're articles about the theater shooting at the top of the news page, then this crap a little further down:

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/barackobama/11759907/Barack-Obama-says-failure-to-change-gun-laws-his-biggest-frustration.html

Seems the media is already grubbing around and trying to blame the guns again, instead of the lunatics and nut-jobs who actually pull the trigger.

I guess they've all forgotten how many people Timothy McVeigh killed without ever firing a shot.

This is what gives me heartburn. When it comes to Sanctuary Cities and illegals that kill Americans here is what Democrats think:

"Rep. Xavier Becerra (D-CA) who wants to protect all Sanctuary Cities from the Sanctuary Cities Act, which was just passed by the house, says that “The man who killed Kathryn Steinle should be punished to the full extent of the law, But don’t punish others for the crimes of the few.”

Yet, when it comes to gun control, that's exactly what they want to do.

It'll all be okay. Probably a couple more instances like this and big brother will step in put his foot down. He'll keep us all safe with some insanely ridiculous mandate boofooing us out of more constitional rights.

I hate be all tin foil hat this early but why does it feel like we're being set up by all these crazy people?
