If you're working on a deal and then fail to log onto the site for three or four days, then you shouldn't be to upset when someone thinks you've abandoned the deal and moves on. Deals move quickly, and unless you set an expectation otherwise offering a reason for which you will be slow to respond, then it's unrealistic for someone to hold onto something because you might get back to them. This is certainly NOT the right way to handle something like this, and will not be tolerated going forward.9 points

This isn't surprising at all. McCain is worthless and should be the poster-child for term limits. He needs to go ahead and take the "R" from in front of his name. I respect his war service greatly but at this point in his life he's no better than Harry Reid, Lindsay Graham or any of the other power-hungry dinosaurs in Washington who need to be put out to pasture.8 points

There is a feedback system just for this. But while its here.... if he replied on Friday the 22nd saying he could meet Monday or Tuesday and you didn't reply, and then he sold it on Sunday, that seems like bad communication on your part.5 points

I'll take lead over a fmj for ANYTHING. Even if I were looking for deep penetration, I can get a lead bullet in there as far as any fmj. I can water drop straight wheel weights and get it hard enough it will not expand at all. I'll also take a cast lead bullet over almost any other copper condom out there. There's very little a jacket can do that a PROPERLY PREPARED cast load cannot do. .....cheaper. Over the weekend I shot some 308's I loaded for a friend's hunting rifle. Without boring details, it penetrated 4 gallon jugs of water and mushroomed from .311 to just over .650. The first two jugs were shredded to pieces. This is a light load and recoil is about like a .223. Accuracy was inside 2 inches at fifty yards and that's a ten shot group, btw. ...Ohh yeah, it cost me about $7 for the fifty rounds we fired.3 points

Is this thread supposed to be satire or are we being serious right now? My God. I'm pretty sure if we had a video of US soldiers taking a dump and played it to menacing theme music some tin foil hatters would think is was a damn conspiracy rather than consider the possibility that soldiers have to take dumps too.3 points

You are correct. That there are so many people out there who go through their daily lives thinking that a random train transporting military vehicles or towing car haulers is evidence of a FEMA plot is very concerning indeed.2 points

Well said and totally agree. I'm fed up with people telling others how to conduct their life. Celebrities, politicians, that idiot Bloomberg. If I choose to keep firearms and drink large amounts of soda, thats my choice. If I'm not directly harming someone, LEAVE ME ALONE. I have many guns, and guess what! Not a single one of them went out and hurt anyone today. Not even a common robbery. It is amazing.1 point

Sad? No, I don't think so. At least not terribly so, not until we get involved to the point of excess, which sometimes happens. But still, it's just excapist entertainment. We all have something that allows us to put aside the "normal" day to day things that we focus on, and go to that other place where we can "live" out a different existance, a fantasy world, if you will. Nothig wrong with that. Some of us use books. Some use TV. Some Politics and Talk Radio. Whatever form it takes...it's usually just a break in the day,...just stress relief. Unless it's those of us who seem to live here 24/7. That's a whole 'nother issue.1 point

I think you may be on to something here. FEMA is going to round us all up and sell everyone to the circus! :panic: Actually, you guys are silly and you've got it all wrong. The Illuminati are working through the UN using micro-sized black helicopters to control your mind. It's a complex plan, but here is a flowchart to help it make sense: As you can see, they are disseminating these microscopic black helicopters through aircraft chemtrails, vaccinations, and genetically modified foods (See? NaturalNews.com is on to something here!) Don't believe it? Silly sheep. Here is an actual x-ray photo taken from the internet to prove this is going on! Why would this be going on? What's the point? Why would some person do this? The answer is simple. People aren't behind this. It's really the humanoid lizards who are calling the shots. Unfortunately, most of you sheeple are blind to the truth. However, I will try to open your minds: And here is an ACTUAL artist's portrayal of these humanoid lizards: If you are open to the truth you can learn more here: http://truthism.com1 point

He says it fits everything he's managed to lay hands on, type 53, 91/30, m44 etc. I think it's pretty cool personally. IMO the original stocks are fine but of course could be better for frequent shooting. The fact that its completely drop in and reversible seals the deal for me. Plus it seems very well thought out. I might just jump on one.1 point

It sounds like he has the seater die screwed in so far that it is applying a serious crimp to the case mouth. Then he tried to seat the bullets deeper after he already had a crimp. You need to do a full length size. Even new brass needs to be sized. Pull the handle down to the bottom of its stroke. Screw the sizing die in until it contacts the shell holder then add about a 1/2 turn. You want to make sure the sizing die ALWAYS touches the shell holder. Next you need to use the powder drop die to bell the case mouth. You want just enough bell that the bullet clears the case mouth. Most times you can't see or even feel the bell but when you set a bulet in the case mouth it is obvious. To set it you put the handle at the bottom of the stroke then you screw it in until the handle moves. Remove the shell and check the bullet fit. It is doesn't then add a 1/4 turn, lock it down and pull the handle to the hard stop with the case in the shell holder. Check it again and add a 1/4 turn at a time until the bullet just barely clears the case mouth. Too much bell work hardens the case mouth and will cause cracks pretty quickly. To set your seater die up do this. Loosen the die and loosen the seater pin. Put a piece of factory ammo in the shell holder. Put the handle of the press at the bottom of the stroke, I mean bottomed out on the hard stop. Then screw the die in until you see the handle barely move. Lock the die in place. Then tighten the seater die until it hard stops on the bullet. This will get you near perfect bullets. You might have to add a 1/8 turn to get more of a crimp but not much more than that.1 point

I am at work since 1am this morning. I apologize for the delay. I have finished the scoring and it will be placed on the web as soon as i get away from the restrictive network here. Thank you to all those that braved the potential forecast (rained for 10 minutes). It was good seeing so many new faces on the range. Congrats to T. McCutchen for is win in Limited and his overall win yesterday. T. Fox came in second. Congrats to R. Birchfield for his Production win with N. Legados with her 2ne place and High lady. Hope to see you at the upcoming Zombie match on April 6th.1 point

Psh, I don't even have anything that shoots a .223. If this goes down, I'm sure there'll be plenty of AKs laying around, but picking up 5 rounds per mag..... I've read somewhere before that they have NO outside info coming in, just what's given by their government. It said that they have them believing we're the evil, the entire world is a 3rd world country and that they're the " light of the world."1 point

It is their fault. I have been in there a few times and every single time I was treated like crap and that when they did acknowledge me. I stood in there once for 20 minutes as the staff chatted amongst themselves. Think of it as Coal Creek Armory Lite This was a few years ago and hopefully they have changed but I doubt it based on what others are saying.1 point

When he pulled the trigger on the loaded long gun as he removed it from the case -- I'll bet.1 point

I would say hold off on shooting until the craziness ends. The reason ammo is being sold at 300% markup on Armslist is because people are paying it, and that is the same reason ammo will remain out of stock. So long as people are willing to pay stupid prices, bubba will wait in line at Walmart so he can turn around and sell it to you. If people chilled the hell out for a second and just stopped paying stupid prices it would all go back to normal. Bubba would have to sell the ammo back at relatively normal prices because he can't have hundreds of dollars tied up in ammo.... smokes and Natty Lite ain't gonna buy themselves ya know.1 point

Mini 14, old school technology, you can piss on it to clean it, stomp the bolt back with your heel, and hit a pie plate at 100 yards... and it fires every time.1 point

It all comes down to a simple blanket statement. It depends. You may open carry all day, every day, and never have an issue. Or, you may push a gaggle of bedwetters into a huge hissy fit. Displaying your gun may be a major deterrent to a threat, or it may not. No doubt that open carry is a lot more comfortable (to you) and convenient. The potential outcomes are just part of the choice. If you want odds, there are plenty of threads out there. The hissy fits are real and fairly frequent. Examples of tactical disadvantage... not so much. The most common threat is an anti-gun douchebag.1 point
