  2. Please don't call them. If they are not posted yet they likely will be after your call.   Take your gun and if they happen to have a sign just lock it in your vehicle.

  3. The best thing about Mark Sanford's win is that it produced this burn.

  5. We can't just assume someone else has complained about the problems with the new rule book. Each one of us needs to express every problem we have with every rule they proposed that is stupid, it needs an overwhelming response. If that doesn't work we can start making nasty calls and emails to the AC.

  6.  also glad to see this win or rather glad to see someone, anyone win this over a democrat even if it was a shoe-in for Sanford.   McCain and his daughter is what's wrong with politics.   :yuck:

  8. I actually got time away from work to fire up the forge today. I made this from a Made in the USA 1095 Nicholson file. It has an 8.5" blade, flat ground with convex edge, 12.5" overall. I'm gonna paracord wrap the handle instead of wood on this one. It will shave hair easily, and would make a great camping/fighting style knife. 14. If 10,000 people showed up with loaded rifles?  Absolutely nothing, except there would be a bill introduced the next day to make it legal.     You don't pick a fight you can't win, and you don't give an order that you can't enforce.  Only a complete idiot of a police chief would do anything.   Laws against stuff only work when you can scare people into following them, the instant they show up in force and out number you 3 to 1, you just have to back down and wait for another day.  Otherwise you risk starting a shoot out where your officers are out gunned and out numbered.   Here is a perfect example: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zJzyN0ykMBg   100+ people show up at your 20 officer police department, walk inside, sit down and light up weed and pass it around...  What happens, nothing...  They can't enforce laws, their little town can't lock up 40 or 50 people, or provide them speedy trials, or feed them when they refuse the conditions of bail.   What does MNPD do with 10,000 people even if they could arrest them?  We don't have that many free beds across the jails in the state, the courts in Nashville would spend 100% of their time convicting those people for the next 3 to 4 years.   The 'control' part of our society really depends on sheeple doing what they're told, if a relatively small minority tell them to shove it all at once, there is nothing they can really do about it.

  15. I'm not currently in the market for another one as of now, but it sure is nice to see them sitting back up in the display area again. I know they have been getting them in and not displaying them, but just good to see them where they are supposed to be sitting. Now if only ammo shelves looked normal again....sigh...

  18. I saw a bunch when i went in the other night. There were at least 7 (all of which were around $1,200) and they had .223 to boot (varmint and boar hunting rounds). Not ideal, but as you said, good to see them.

  35. wow,  some of you guys need to look at yourselves and ask why you enable users.   I know about three friends I would lend a gun to. One or two I would lend my gas powered tools to, but I will supply the mixed fuel.  I'd be happy to come help but them things mostly don't get out of my sight.  Don't ask for my truck,  that will never happen.  If you need it to move a couch or TV, sure I will help. If you need to move your household the answer will be no.  But I'd be happy to help lift and tote stuff if you go rent a U-Haul,   Aside from that I only have three relatives I would lend things to,  they would have unfettered access to anything, key ring, safe combination, anything I have.   I also have relatives I would lend nothing to.     Kind of funny,  but the people I trust would never ask to borrow any of that stuff.

  36. Glad to see you got one Krull!   So that looks like the standard finish. I have to imagine it was beat up or something. Do you have a before photo so we can compare the difference?   Did they just refinish the slide or the whole thing? I notice the lettering and the little white line at the safety are missing. Regardless, it looks nice.

  41. As of July 1, 2008, Florida became a "Take your gun to work" state (F.S. 790.251). This law prohibits most businesses from firing any employee with a Concealed Weapon License for keeping a legal firearm locked in their vehicle in the company parking lot. The purpose of the new law is to allow carry licensees to exercise their Second Amendment rights during their commutes to and from work. Exceptions listed in F.S. 790.251(7) include: school property; correctional institutions; property where a nuclear-powered electricity generation facility is located; property upon which substantial activities involving national defense, aerospace, or homeland security are conducted; property upon which the primary business conducted is the manufacture, use, storage, or transportation of combustible or explosive materials; a motor vehicle owned/leased/rented by your employer; any other property upon which possession of a firearm is prohibited pursuant to any federal law, contract with a federal government entity, or general law of Florida. A case was filed against Disney by Edwin Sotomayor, a former Disney security guard who was fired, despite having a CWL, for having a firearm locked in his car, in violation of Disney's pre-existing no weapons allowed policy. The case was later dropped by the plaintiff citing personal and financial reasons. Disney claims that they are exempt from the new state law, on the basis of their having a fireworks license for conducting nightly fireworks shows at Disney World If you have enough bucks, you can carve out your own rules.   http://www.leg.state.fl.us/statutes/index.cfm?App_mode=Display_Statute&Search_String=&URL=0700-0799/0790/Sections/0790.251.html

Btw that 1911 is worth a pretty penny. And you can pick up a new eaa ez9 here for under $500 http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=339735888 Though I know thats not the point. 48. You cant hardly go wrong with a Chinese AK.. . post ban mak 90 do have some stock limitations due to the thicker receivers. . . yes Polytechs are expensive but in my opinion worth the money. . .buy once cry once. . .Egyptian Maadis are a very good variant all except the MISR series. . . those are egyptian receivers built with chinese parts kits which are not easily compatible so at very best fit and finish will be aweful even if functional. . .a Romanian SAR 1 should be good to go. . as well as an Arsenal. I know alot of people have good luck with century built WASR's but I would not buy one without intense inspection and make sure trying different types of mags for lock up and wobble and of course canted sights. .But as far as best bang for your buck cant go wrong with a MAK 90. . . The Chinese designed AK's in 7.62x39 are reffered to as Type 56 guns and if you take the dust cover off and look at the guts of a Type 56 and any of their european cousins you will see the difference. . .     So to sum it up. . .if I was looking for best quality/value on a first AK and I knew I was going to be happy with a traditional style AK with a wood stock I would get a MAK 90. If I thought I might want to "play" with it and maybe try a sidefolding stock or what have you I would try to find an Egyptian Maadi ARM model imported by Intraac of Knoxville. . .these are good to go and the muzze threads are intact and covered by a tackwelded muzzle nut. . .
