2. Just tell them you're afraid of three headed monkeys. If they have any follow up questions just point over their shoulder and yell " there's one now!" They'll probably look because based on the fact that they asked you that question, they're probably stupid. While their looking for Bingo the three headed monkey you should be able to egress. If you really want to screw with them tell them its doctors orders and walk away while they try to figure that one out.

 4. Thanks Luke for all the tips....and for trying it first  I was more worried that once I got started, I would go with the wrong color for base coat, not like the design half way through, or have an image in my head and hate it on the rifle. So! I just started painting with no idea whatsoever in my head and went with it. I used Rustoleum flat camo in the following colors: Sand, Army green, and Dark Earth. Sprayed the crap out of it with brake cleaner and let dry. Tape over the trigger and serial number (Not sure why, but I did). First light coat of OD green After 2nd coat of OD green And here is the part where y'all get to cuss me for skipping pictures. (I know, I hate it too) But I got into it, and moved back and forth so many times, I would have had 100 pictures and probably forgot what I was trying to do in my head. So, I apologize in advance. :ugh: All that said, I am extremely happy. The finish is NOT shiny, which I did not want. The dull, flat look is great! Since I didn't take pictures of the leaf procedure (you can see them laying in the box), I will try to explain a little. Probably not much different than anyone else does though. I started with the two base coats of green. Then laid several of the little branches pretty much covering most of the rifle on one side. I sprayed several lines of the brown in different directions depending on how the leaves laid. I need to add that light leaves CAN be moved by the spray! GRRR So I had to adjust once I figured that out. I let that dry, flipped the rifle and repeated as close as I could remember on the opposite side. Then I grabbed the sand and laid about half the amount of leaves I used for brown on the rifle and sprayed 5 or 6 lines mostly vertical and a few on top and bottom of the rifle. I wasn't keen on keeping that much sand color although I love it, just thinking about my area colors. I wanted more green and brown. So I made one more trip around the whole rifle with brown (to break up some of the larger areas of sand color) and then green (A blending type action of all of the designs) again. I decided at the point above that I would stop where I was. Let me know what you think, and if you're pondering it, give it a shot!!

 6. I'm not afraid of much, and don't have to carry a gun. I like guns, and therefore,. I am likely to have one with me.   None of your business is another valid answer.   I don't usually tell people I carry, so the conversation rarely comes up.

 8. He has to say something which in most cases his mouth is moving but same old bull crap flows from it over and over. He is running out of any new stuff and the guys that do the writing on his teleprompters are running out of things to program them with. His dream of getting the guns from all of the Americans are just that. Dreams!!! The American people are not the Australians and we have not plans of doing such a stupid thing as they did. We were able to keep the Imperial Japanese Army off our shores in 1941 because they fear all of the Americans with guns back them. Today there are 1000 times that many more American gun owners than there was in 1941. He can push that pen all he wants but he cannot bypass the Constitution of the United States with it and he cannot over ride the decisions of the United States Supreme Court with it so just what can he really do but run his mouth is my question? If I am not mistaken his ratings are still in the fruit cellar.............jmho

 9. Data shows that though they rose from the 60's, mass shootings are indeed significantly less common currently than in 80s or 90s.   What has changed is the extent of instant universal news coverage, and of course that powerhouse news organizations have gone far beyond reporting to political activism.   But seems little doubt that as Garufa opines, the society has been conducive to spawning more individual crazies ... read Desmond Morris' The Human Zoo (sequel to The Naked Ape), wherein he equates modern society with a zoo, and consequently the neurotic/psychotic behaviors of both animals and humans living in completely unnatural circumstances. And he saw that back in 1969, and we've come "far" since then.   - OS
It amazes me how many kids have supposedly been so hard core to walk in to a school, blow chunks out of people without crying at the sight if it or getting sick, and then have the same balls to put the barrel to their head and pull the trigger. I don't buy it, I hate saying I think they may have been forced, or shot while someone else pulled the trigger with more discipline, but good Lord, really????
Sociopaths don't wake up one day at the age of 18 and decide to be sociopaths. You're applying your own view of the world to folks who view the world in a much different way. Trust me, there are soulless monsters who are not yet adults. They exist in every country, in every culture and all throughout history. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

 13.
Hence my previous answer. I'm tired of trying to explain things to stupid people who will never get it anyway.
I'd like to educate if I can. It's just hard to empathize with irrational people and explain things in a way that makes sense to them. When my wife and I were getting married her family came down to Tennessee (she's a Yankee). There were several firearms in the apartment and my wife had to move some because there were kids coming over. Her aunt saw the firearms and literally cried. I don't know how to explain things to people like that. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

 15. No one ever asks me this.  They know people hate lawyers.  Especially their husband or wife's divorce attorney.         It's just to bad I've been doing this just long enough that I've forgotten how to do any honest work....

 16. I'd like to say: "I'm a free citizen. Fear is immaterial to my right to carry a weapon."   That being said, "free citizen" is an inaccurate exaggeration. When I have to pay almost $200 for a carry permit and class combined, then take the time to get fingerprinted, and wait for the government to process my request for more freedom....   Still need to find the time and money so I can buy a little more freedom....

 18. Well, I've never been asked that before. I assume that it's because I'm 6'4", 275 lbs, and have a look about me that I don't entertain fools lightly. But if I was asked this question I would answer with something along the lines of, "I have a hammer just in case that I need to hammer a nail...does that make me afraid of a nail?"

 19. All....   I simply don't like the news coverage in the Knoxville area; so I regularly read the Chattanooga news via WDVF... They tend to simply report what happened in the state news section; which i like... I found this this mornin....   http://www.wdef.com/content/news/crime/story/Handgun-Carry-Permits-Double-in-2013/dvLLw2TIAEul1nz7IwB1AQ.cspx   The link says it all... Tennessee Handgun permits doubled in 2013...    A very interesting and informative factoid...   The "anti gun" rhetoric ain't workin....   Enjoy, leroy

 20.
I noticed that too. Both parents are 34, the daughter is 17, and there was a 5 yr old son in the home as well. They apparently got knocked up at about 16 or 17 yrs of age, depending on when bdays fall. The fact that they are still together is welcome and worthy news all by itself. Add the fact that they are gun owners and took such decisive action and you have an even better story.Apparently, at least one article said the police are treating this as a murder investigation. I hope not, based on what news we have now, but who knows what else is going on. The suspect that survived caught one in the chest and one in each thigh.
It should be treated as a murder investigation. The surviving oxygen thief should be charged with 1st degree murder, since a person was killed as a direct result of his felonious actions. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

 23. Is suggest a Ruger 22/45 as well. If you're can come to terms with the fact that it won't look like a 1911, you'll be getting a gun that lasts a lifetime and a half, is very accurate, and will make anything that fits in its chamber go bang. If your looking for a lifetime rimfire companion that you can use for everything to tin can plinking on up to competitive shooting, go Ruger, if you just want to have fun and plunk a bit, the GSG fits the bill.

 24. It should hold up just like any anodizing, think of this way, every knife out there that is aluminum or Titanium that is black is anodized, as the raw form is not black in color I have a TR3 Pro Tech that is anodized Red, it has been through hell and at around 5 years old still is as Red as it was when new

 31. Ok, this isn't what you all were expecting. Its a Marlin 308 MX, I just picked it up today, these things are "suppose" to be as accurate as a bolt action. Well I plan on finding out this summer. Should make fer a dandy little deer rifle either way. Any way I'm proud to have it, and will shoot it this weekend.

 32. Well this what ya get when you have to much time on your hands in the rain. 5 gallon bucket with 4 gallons of water. Plastic paint, I used 2 colors, green and tan. Some kind of stick. Wire to hand your part, and last but not least you part. Spray the paint, into the center of the water, first one color then the 2nd color. I went with 3 cycles of color. So I sprayed 1, 2, 1, 2, 1, 2 all pointed at the center of the bucket. You end up with rings on paint, mix a bit with the stick. Now dip you part into the water till it is all the way under. DO NOT PULL IT OUT YET Let the paint on the water gel, takes about a min or so, take the stick and get the paint off the water, it will clump to the stick. NOW lift out the part, this is what you get. The paint I used will clean off with paint thinner. 33. No one had ever asked me.  But if they did I would mention something about keeping my options open,  fight or flight like has been mentioned before.   One answer I never will give,  and no offense intended to those of you who think  they are this.  But I am not a sheep dog, I have no intention of using my carry gun to save anyone who is not a loved one of mine.  I DO NOT carry to protect anyone else.   You are on your freaking own.  If you get shot and maimed because I did not pull my gun to save you then Oh Well.  Too bad for you.

These are commemorative knives celebrating the day automatics are finally allowed to be carried in Tennessee, nowhere were they advertised as Tactical as you put it, I explained these knives as best as I could throughout the build, Pro Tech did the Logo exactly as they were supposed to, I am sorry that you or anyone else does not like it, Hopefully there will be several more forum knives one thing I can tell you for certain is none of them will be the same they will all be different, some will love them some will not it is just the way these things go

 43.   My dad lived downstairs from a guy who worked 3rd shift when he was about 20. His wife would vacuum the floor at about 2AM every morning, a couple hours after the guy left for work. My dad asked her to please wait until shortly before dude came home and she basically told him to shove it. He then asked the husband to talk with her and received much the same response. So one day he waited for Mr. Personality to get home, gave him about 30 minutes to wind down, get in bed, etc., then placed his speakers on top of a book shelf just below the ceiling, cranked the volume to 11, and went to work. Problem solved.
