  4. @Erik88 I agree. Many would be surprised at many of my friends and their strong support for gun rights. Sad some would not be accepted in certain circles for their appearance. They do more for gun rights than most, they just don't post it on Facebook every 30 seconds or "look the part".

  5. That is politics. I am not speaking of politics. Just the man in general. His character, demeanor, love of fellow humans. He has all of them best in that regard. Goes to the point of a good man should not be in politics. It is ruinous. Sad though, lest we never get our government back how than shall a good man run. Obama, Bush once and two, Clinton, Reagan, Ford, none of them have done for their fellow man as has Carter. Yes in politics he sucked. He should not even comment upon the topic.

  6. I saw those two together at the Ryman back in the day. Man, those were great shows. Robert Earl Keen’s 20th Anniversary of Live Dinner is totally worth a listen. Whenever I want to just hear my kids sing at the top of their lungs, I’ll cue up Feeling Good Again in the car. My oldest says the song makes her think that’s what heaven must be like.

  7. I forgot about Pumpkinhead. Woah, it was good. Scott Glenn and it even had Jeff East(who played Huckleberry Finn). The original Nighmare on Elm Street was good too. Freddy Kreuger's whole personality was different.

  8. I don't even know where to start. I grew up on this stuff and still love it. I was a teenager when Halloween and Friday the 13th came out. These made a big impact on me. I also grew up watching the classic Universal Monsters from the 1930s on TV. Frankenstein, Dracula and the Wolfman have always been favorites. Not to mention tons of 1950s-60s "B" horror and sci-fi movies. Night of the living Dead is an all time classic as well as all the George Romero Zombie flicks. But, my all time favorite ghost story is the original 1963 film "The Haunting". Only two characters die, no gore, not much for fancy special effects. Its all done with lights, sound and the power of your own imagination. I love this movie and even today it scares the crap outta me.

  9. The three great excesses in life: There's no such thing as... Too much love... Too much money.... Or too much ammo.

  10. The Night of the Living Dead. Low budget, Black and White and scary as hell for the 1960s. "They're coming to get you Barbara" The music really makes it and the little kid zombie eating the Mom is still freaky. Don't watch any newish horror, kinda depresses me how sick and realistic it has become, too much torture and sadism. Don't mind Nightmare before Christmas for something fun.

  11. This part struck me as interesting. Does this sound like your typical NRA member or gun rights activist? No. Yet here he is doing his best to stand up for our rights. This is a good example of why @TGO David made that podcast earlier this year. We might be surprised who our allies are. As for this law, I thought this is what the Supreme Court struck down in Chicago some years back. I can't see how this will hold up in court.

  12. I put my name on the waiting list for a .45acp model. There's not much on the web about it, but what little there is is positive, I believe this is exactly what I'm looking for and the price is good. So I'll be the guinea pig if they'll start shipping. Web site says the should be shipping by Q3 2018. Well, that's now. I sent them an e-mail asking when they will be available. I'll let y'all know what they say.

  16. This is one of these things that even if you have the knowledge, money, and experience to know how to do it right - it still takes a lot of time, patience - and probably not a little luck to get good results. I appreciate anytime I see someone go to this level of detail to get something right.

  17. Nashville-bound for a move in my company, which is based there. My wife and I leave Monday from Phoenix, where we have lived our whole lives. I used to be somewhat active competitively, but tore an extensor tendon in the forearm on my strong side, so I haven’t shot since April and had to have surgery with a long recovery. It’s discouraging to be loading a huge safe, guns, and ammo in a truck not knowing if I will be able to shoot them again, but I sure as hell can’t sell anything in this gun depression. And I still pay the safe a visit daily to tinker. My wife and I don’t have kids. I’m Libertarian. She’s more liberal, but completely pro-2A, as someone who is “liberal” should be. We have two small dogs and bought a quaint little house in East Nashville. I’m going to get my TN DL and then need to figure out a place to get my carry permit and possibly qualify support side only since I’m gimpy. Calibers- 9MM, 5.56, 22LR Guns I use- Glocks, CZ-75 SA pistols, FN SCAR, AK-74, MP5s, CZ Scorpion. Guns I hate- shotgun and anything 40S&W. Looking forward to the move and eventually meeting some of you if/when I’m back up and shooting. At least I can pass off as a noob again at matches while I build up my strength and skill again
