  1. In November, 2015 I decided to add a high capacity optic equipped pistol to my carry rotation. I had never even shot a S&W M&P but I am a S&W fan boy so I bought a new 4 1/4" M&P40 PC Ported and put a Type 1 (the only one made at that time) Trijicon 6.5 MOA RMR RM07 on it. I also installed the full Apex internals, everything that they sold for it. I tried a few different holsters and settled on the CompTac Flatline. Thousands of rounds through it and not a single malfunction of any kind. For defensive carry it is topped up with Federal 165 HST. When either of the M&Ps do nightstand duty they get a Streamlight TLR-1 A few years later I bought a 5" S&W M&P9 PC Ported and put a Trijicon Type 2 3.25 MOA RMR RM06 on it. It also has full Apex internals in it and rides in a BladeTech holster that I had used in IDPA for my S&W M&P9 Pro Series. About a half dozen years ago I decided I wanted a Trijicon RMR on a 1911. After looking at all of the "candidates" the least valuable one was a S&W SW1911 in .45 ACP that I had bought new in December of 2012. Because the Trijicon RMRs are wider than a 1911 slide Trijicon makes an adapter that includes a rear night sight and includes the front suppressor height night sight. After much research I decided to send the slide to Parker Mountain Machine, and I'm very glad that I did. I'm a retired Machinist, Tool & Die Maker, CAD/CAM Operator, CNC Programmer and Operator I can appreciate outstanding machine work when I see it. The machining is fantastic! I originally put a new Type 2 Trijicon 6.5 MOA RMR RM07 on it but later swapped with the M&P40 PC Ported as it gets shot and carried much more. I've already introduced the members to my S&W CSX with a 6 MOA SIG Romeo-X that is currently carried in a 1791 pancake holster. None of my revolvers have red dots, yet. Cheers James

  2. LOL I keep hearing pro on when shooting suppressed. Only time I don't is if it's all subsonic and suppressed. I use a second set on ranges. The guy with the 338 Lapua will always bypasses 10 empty tables just to sit next to me.

  3. Thanks. I’’m a touched embarrassed to admit the more I ride it, the better I like it. It runs and shifts smooth. Rides great. I think I could ride it cross country.

  4. Free to good home. This is a nearly new Lone Wolf 10mm barrel for a Glock G29. They have kind of a checkered reputation. It had a few FTF's right off the bat in my G29 on its first range trip and I never took the time to work out the bugs. I imagine that it could be polished and fitted by someone with the knowledge and interest. I have neither. In fact, I don't even have a G29 anymore so there's that.

  14. Doing some more clean up. I haven't shot this in a while and have decided that I want to work on a newer build. I'm selling a buffer less Direct Impingement (DI) 12 in 223 wylde upper, with a full length hand guard, side charging handle non reciprocating (upgraded to the larger charging handle to prevent knuckle drag). The upper is a factory Foxtrot Mike. I have a Griffin taper mount on the end, if you don't plan on using a can with a plan A mount or a Griffin Can then I can swap it out for a Standard A2 flash hider. That should give you the ability to run what ever type of mounting system you prefer. The lower is based on a Aero Precision AR 15 lower w/ an Aero Precision LPK . Troy bolt release extension ( like a magpul bad lever), this helps with lock back since the charging handle is on the left hand site. A3 grip, Magpul polymer trigger guard, Foxtrot Mike pic rail adaptor, SB tactical folding brace (aluminum), and a Franklin Armory Binary Trigger. If you are interested just in the upper I can break it out and give you a price. I'm asking for 1300 1200.00 for the gun itself. I was not planning on selling the light, hand stop or optic with it. I'm in the Mt Juliet area and I am will to meet face to face. A bill of sale will be required. If you are interested please text or call me at 615 955 4302.

  19. Six Glock 20 Gen 3 magazines. Unused to lightly used condition. Will sell the set of 6 for $60 plus shipping at cost. Understanding that I am a newbie here with no TGO reputation, I will ship first and await your payment by check or money order if you have greater than 20 transactions and no negative reviews. Otherwise we can do FTF or you can trust me to ship after payment. Other arrangements can be considered.

  25. Good advice above about not skimping. I hate shooting indoors, but when I do, I leave the electronic ear pro and the silicone plugs at home. The foam plugs that you roll up and let expand are the best in-ear protection I've found and passive over-the-ear cans beat all but the super expensive electronic ear muffs. I'd double up with both if there's rifles and indoors involved.

  26. If shooting indoors, I double up with Ear Buddy foam plugs and Axil Trakr Electronic over the ear. I have used that combo with my M14 Scout in .308 and it seems sufficient. That being said, I usually shoot that rifle outdoors since the indoor range I use only goes out to 50 yards. So mostly shooting 9mm and .357 mag/.38 spl indoors. The key with the foam plugs is to make sure they are fully compressed before inserting them well into the ear canal.

  29. Same here. And we've also had a glass top stove for years, works fine. Just don't drop them on it.

  31. Agreed. I'll give the seller another free bump (even though its already at the top). I've listed a lot of stuff here, GOC, & various other forums and groups. At $20/year, this is the most expensive (lol) of all of them and is so worth it. The amount of bs and riff raff it keeps out is well worth it. And the feedback here is far more reliable. I just wish it had more reach but that's also a double edged sword that comes with the aforementioned bs. All in all, I deal with far more confidence here than anywhere else.

  32. That's a ridiculous statement, but whatever. The moderating team can only do so much and "thinking for others" is not one of their super powers. Free bump for the seller, though. That's a hell of a nice pistol and the OP doesn't seem like he's a rube who is going to easily fall for being scammed.

  35. In the past, I’ve used a black trash bag on a hot day and left it in the sun. I’ve also had success with heat guns for the wood. As far as the metal goes, I found boiling water works best in a cheap thrift store pot. Anywhere you do this, make sure it’s ventilated properly or you’ll be lightheaded afterwards. Good Luck!

  36. I don't know all the details of the "Big Beautiful Bill" , but if the various things I'm hearing are true, I'd be fine with leaving suppressors in the NFA for a while longer and it not pass.
