Voting for Democrats is a definite loser- Just look at the disaster any Democrat run city or state leaves- So not voting for the Conservatives is also not the answer-3 points

I have 2 that I use a shoulder pad for- 30-30 and my .308 all for range use- Usually when I am at the range it's not unusual to run maybe 30 rounds of each- My shoulders have tears and are not up to a lot of abuse-2 points

We see this BS in our own state as well. The Republican leadership here is giving it to us so hard that I'm sure the Democrats are jealous.2 points

From my emails to our Senators; I am very disappointed in the US Senate allowing an appointed liberal to divert progress against the infringements on our God given right to keep and bear arms. The NFA of 1934 was written to combat a problem created by the US congress with prohibition. Specifically, making certain legal firearms illegal in an attempt to protect authorities from organized crime that grew powerful by making money smuggling alcohol. If we look at historic court rulings and Constitutional amendment, we can see that it is Unconstitutional to attach a fee, tax, or test to any Constitutionally guaranteed right. The NFA goes against the Constitution and needs to be overturned. It seems our court system while being protective of the right to vote, have a blind spot to "shall not be infringed" so it is up to congress to strike the NFA in it's entirety. Joe Biden was a liar, Cannons were perfectly legal for citizens to own. Our founders wanted the populace to be able to defend themselves and their country. Make it right.2 points

Senate rules. Everything that can qualify for reconciliation, and get through with 50 votes because the filibuster isn't allowed has to be directly related to budgetary matters. So the tax survived, but changing how the NFA classifies things can't happen that way. People are screaming at the parliamentarian, but she's just reading the rules and calling it correct as the rules currently stand. Now the kicker is, each chamber of Congress can set their own rules, so Republicans could change things, but that's risky. It throws out a lot of norms the Senate keeps around to be more deliberative than the House, and would give the Democrats the same power when they eventually take over at some point to be determined. It's also entirely possible the Republicans knew this was gonna happen and were a-okay with it. The tax stamp revenue is completely insignificant, even as an offset to ATF processing costs, so they're fine with that going. But do you really think they want to eliminate or reduce the NFA?2 points

Picked this up off Gunbroker a couple years ago. May have put 100 rds thru it. Not sure what the original owner put thru it but doesn't appear to be much. Comes with everything that came factory in the box. Has a slight "idiot scratch" from disassembling but lighting makes it look worse, as usual. Would make somebody a fine quality carry gun. Asking $1500 picked up locally here in East TN. Hate to sell this one but I just bought my grandfather's 1983 square body Chevy, he bought new. Looking to build the motor for it he always wanted, so no trades unless it small block chevy parts2 points

Someone educate me, please. This parliamentarian dudette removed the part that took this stuff out of the NFA, but left in a reduction in the tax cost? Why the hell do we even allow a lib to be in that position when. We control the senate?2 points

The longer I live the more I wish I lived in the days of the past. The days when the Constatuon was the law of the land. When laws were not made up by the unelected. When the legislator did not pass laws that punished us for the crimes of the criminal I believe as long as poor candidates are presented to us to vote we will never get back the rights we've lost. The second amendment was written in a way to cover everything, not just firearms.2 points

We were so close to having two of the three legs cut out from under the NFA, with the SHORT Act and the HPA, both being included in the Big Beautiful Bill, only to see it quashed by the partisan, APPOINTED, NOT ELECTED Senate Parliamentarian (Elizabeth MacDonough, appointed by Harry Reid in 2012). Rather than remove her from her position or at the very least override her decision, we are leaving her in place and amending the language in both Acts to zero out the tax stamp, but leave the draconian and very odorous registration requirements in place. This is not what held my nose and voted for! Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, three and four more times, shame on me. I’m to the point, I just cannot trust the Republicans anymore.1 point

I suppose we all have our niche use, or not.. Being a reloader and caster, I shoot a LOT. . perhaps 300x rounds of big-bore a month. Back in the day I bought (cheap) a LOT of kegs of powder, primer, cases, so my shots are in the .05 to .10 cents per for big bores.. Less if I account for my 2,000 lbs of free scrap lead I smelted for my 'bores. In my case, I have zero thoughts of stock finish, LOL, that ship sailed a looong time ago. That black 308 is a Rem model 660, bought new in 1969, now painted with 98 cent/can of Krylon flat black from Home Depot. Used wood epoxy putty to fill the gouges. The Marlins are 35 years old, have replacement stocks, and are now Tung oiled "pieces of wood in the back". A few thousand rounds through each, and mostly using the stock to keep brush & limbs from my legs. Sort of pathetic I suppose. My sold Pedersoli Sharps "Pride of the Plains" was a different matter. THAT was a thing of beauty, never to be insulted with a $13 girly pad. I wore my Palma comp harness pad. Even I won't stoop that low.1 point

I've tried different plugs over the years along with a few muffs. The foamies with muffs are the way to go if you are highly sensitive or shooting big bore indoors. WOULD SOMEONE PLEASE ANSWER THE PHONE?!! BTW, Harleys with straight pipes are bad too.1 point

Thank you!. But I’ll bet you a dollar to a donut that in previous reconciliation bills, in a dem LED senate, that had non budgetary items, it flew right through.1 point

Agreed, lesser of 2 evils. I will say, however, that the time to vote your conscience is in the GOP primary. The moderate/RINO seems to keep winning the big nominations instead of the conservatives.1 point

So many moons ago, (early '80's), I had to make a decision what I liked and disliked. Dept required we use something that could fire .38 spl. So, with not much to offer, it was either going to be S&W or Colt... Went to the shop and I needed to be convinced of which. Then, it was a matter of preference. The S&W rattled a tad when you shook it, the Colt, solid as a rock. So, my love of Colts started up. Within a short period of time, I bought a 4" Nickel Python, 6" Royal Blue Python, a Nickel 1911 MKV Series 70. Short after, ...the Colt Lawman Mark III .357 My carry was the 4" Python and backup was the Lawman. My dept was hell bent on not using revolvers anymore, so I was able to carry the 1911.... (would be nice if they paid something), but truth be told, revolvers were not that expensive, and I already had what I needed. Over the years, I started getting more interest in semi-autos and went with HKs... I sold my 6" to a guy in AZ, my 4" to a kid just out of the academy and my Lawman to the guy that owned my marina... Knowing what we know today for the going price, I kick myself in the arse for getting rid of them. Who would have known. Kept the 1911 only for remembrance. Eventually had it chromed, (nobody does nickel anymore ,(and if so, would be very expensive) ... and fitted with tritium sights my old eyes could see... So, my quest. I just got my hands on an excellent 1976 vintage Lawman Mark III. Must have been in someone's safe for decades because looks like it was never shot. Still had cosmoline on some parts. I got a deal that I could not pass up. I will slowly rebuild my Pony/Pythons of yester-year. My only Colts and hopefully not the last, (excuse the tint and oily prints. They are both shiny mirror like. Hard to get shot without reflection..) :1 point

The " Sanctuary City " thing is nothin more than an attempt at voter replacement ALA what ya see with the Muslim population in Britain now. Fourty seven percent of public housing in London is said to be foreign. Biden embraced the " citizen replacement " concept completely, and did more to advance it than any president before him. The problem with this idea is that it increases the size of cities that are already under democrat control in states, for the most part, that are blue already. At this juncture, the " sanctuary city " thing ain't working out, because the DJT n company are stepping up ICE enforcement in these places. LA is " ground zero " for this foolishness as is New York and other blue strongholds. That's why there are " sanctuary cities " and that's why the DJT is going after em. leroy1 point
