  1. I just don't get why removable FCUs are so revolutionary. I can take my FCU and put it in a smaller grip frame. Or a blue grip frame. So what. They seem kinda gimmicky. I don't see a scenario where I will pull parts from one frame and switch it to another based on some new need. If I want a smaller or bigger gun, I will buy a smaller or bigger gun.

  2. Making room in the safe... I have a like new Taurus Raging Hunter .460 Magnum. It has only had 7 rounds through it. This is a beast. The .460 Magnum is the fastest straight-wall cartridge there is. It beats out every other one in velocity. I bought it for two reasons... Bear defense while in the woods, and pistol hunting for big game. It would fill both of these roles beautifully. But my Ruger Super Redhawk Alaskan in .454 Cassull does the bear defense job in a more compact unit. And I have a 500 Smith and Wesson for pistol hunting big game. So this one, being in the middle, just sits in the safe. I have added walnut grips, but it also comes with the stock rubber grips. It has a nice hard case and a super nice Coyote Kydex chest rig holster. I have 4 sets of speed clips. Nothing speedy about them, lol, Just an easier way to carry this gigantic ammo while in the woods. It also comes with 2 boxes of Hornady 200 grain ammo, and 93 rounds of 300 grain Freedom Munitions ammo. I have $1,511.63 in this kit. Save yourself tax, shipping, FFL fee, plus a little more off the top. Asking $1,100.00 Located in Maryville, TN.

  3. Two like new unfired Glocks for sale. I purchased the 17L brand new and have never shot it. Purchase the 26 from TGO and was told it had never been fired. Both guns still have the gold grease. The 26 is an early Gen 4 that has the frying pan finish on the slide. Both come with 2 mags and everything from factory. 26 - $450 17L $500 Not really looking to trade but never hurts to ask My time is split between North Middle TN and northern AL. If buyer is flexible on time I could potentially meet anywhere up and down I65 or even Chattanooga area. HCP preferred or established member.

  5. Hello all, I have a Henry 45-70 GOVT with all Weather finish I’m wanting to trade for the Model X. My model is the one with the dovetail front sight and semi buckhorn rear sight. I installed an XS Sights pic rail kit along with peep sights and upgraded front sight blade. It is truly a slicker than slick setup, but I want to shoot suppressed and the hoops to jump through in order to make that happen are just too much. I am PRIMARILY looking to trade for a Henry X Model in 45-70 (with a slight cost adjustment), but I am also willing to sell. I have MAYBE 70 rounds through the rifle. If selling, I would be asking $1100. I am currently traveling for work, but will be back home by the 21st of July to make a sale or trade and post pictures.

  6. Hi guys, here’s my like new inbox Kimber solo with Crimson trace grips and one extra magazine- plus one magazine that is. I bought this new at Franklin gun shop some years ago. Took it to one HCP/CCW course and ran about one box of shells through it, put it in the back of the safe and basically been there ever since. It’s the custom gun shop or custom shop version . This came with the original Kimber sleeve, three magazines and the new at that time Crimson trace laser grips. This is another one of my guns that I bought thinking I would carry it a lot and that ended up not being the case. It’s in like new condition and ready to sell. I’m asking $575 for it. I can meet in Williamson County -Brentwood, Franklin Nolensville , with a little notice. Let me know if you have questions please and thanks for looking.

  9. Plain ol’ black ARs bore me, so I decided to try my hand at painting one when I built my shorty 5.56. I’m not set up for Cerakoting, but have researched and read that Brownell’s Aluma-hyde II is pretty close durability-wise and decided to give it a shot. Aluma-hyde II is supposedly a lot tougher than run-of-the-mill rattle can. After much trial and error (Aluma-hyde II can be finicky), I painted an upper, lower, and handguard with two coats of OD green and three coats of matte clear. The clear gave it sort of a satin eggshell finish that I found appealing. I fashioned a hillbilly dutch oven for redneck curing with a large cardboard box lined with aluminum foil (when my wife wasn't looking), and a hair dryer poking through a hole in the bottom. It was good for about 160F and I think worked well. If I were going to Badlandistan to chase hajiis, I would probably skip the clear. The build: Aero M4E1 upper and lower Aero R-One 10.3”” handguard Wilson Combat 11.3” 1/7 barrel Wilson BCG Superlative Arms adjustable gas block Triggertech 3.5 Competitive trigger JP Silent Captured buffer SB Tactical SBA5 brace and a B5 Systems grip (played 50 shades of FDE trying to get a near match with these two) Leupold Mark 4 1-4.5 LPVO Hope to shoot it soon.

  12. I did the Google myself and saw a couple of pics nearly identical to yours that claimed they were Belgian, that’s why I asked. Otherwise, I haven’t a clue. Put Ian McCollum on the case, lol.

  14. The MP-41 (M.P. 41) submachine gun was developed by Hugo Schmeisser, son of the Louis Schmeisser who developed the first practical machine gun, the MP-18. At the time of development of MP-41, the company C.G.Haenel, at which Schmeisser was chief designer, manufactured MP-40 submachine guns for German army. Based on the highly successful MP40, the MP41 incorporated a wooden stock and was select fire. The MP41 saw limited production and was issued primarily to the SS Troops. Our reproduction is all metal and wood construction. The magazine is removable, the bolt trigger and selector switch all function. This impressive replica measures approximately 34 inches long. With its realistic look and feel, this MP41 Submachine Gun makes for a great decoration and display piece. 19. Whenever I buy a new model, invariably an “upgraded” model is released. The RXM is still young and I have hopes that more versions will be available soon, though that wouldn’t stop me if the right deal came along.

  25. Hey guys. Some of you who were members back in the 2012-2015 era may remember that I had a forum at the time that catered to Jeep owners. My wife has kept it alive as a Facebook group since then and she's been scouring Amazon Prime Day deals for things that literally anyone could make use of in their vehicular emergency kits. I'm sharing this here because (a.) she asked me to and (b.) because every little click and purchase from those affiliate links goes into the same kitty that keeps TGO running along. On that first point, you married men know that if your wife isn't at peace you aren't going to be at peace either. Alright... enough of me setting the stage. 26. Great! Am just curious why you are trying to keep the round count down on the P226? That is a workhorse of a firearm.

  28. I know that feeling. Our 5 year plan turned into a 3 year plan turned into a "Well, time to hit the road" plan. Bought property on the hill around 2018. Wanted to get 25 years into the pension before we left. Covid hit. My department shutdown. Wife was able to work remote. Property taxes were going up. Bought back some .mil time and got 20 yrs in the pension. Sold the house Mass and started building down here. Added an in-law to the build and my mother moved with us. Went from turning wrenches to building service trucks. Best decision ever.

  29. Selling my Norso 365 XL/Macro slide. It's based off of a Norso Slide, PMK barrel and Comp combo, night sights, Sig firing pin assembly and a DPM recoil assembly. I had this on my Icarus Macro grip but I decided I would prefer a flush comp build instead. Asking $600.00 or B.O for it. If you are interested give me a call or text at 615 955 4302. I'm in the Mt Juliet area and I am will to meet up. If you are not in the area then I am willing to ship.
