  1. I think the heat deflectors over the burners might be upside down.

  2. You and everybody else, apparently. One suggestion, once this current panic calms down, and things get back closer to normal, learn to reload and stock up on components. Once you have your stash (hoard) built sufficiently, you won't care what current prices are ...

  4. How are the cast nets that you see at Walmart and Academy Sports that run about $39 ? The 5 foot ones. I have never had one but I want to catch my own bait from now on. So I am new to it and I dont want to get a very expsensive one in case I screw it up at first. Any help is appreciated.

  5. Time to move some more guns that I never shoot. Bought this several years ago and it has never been out of the safe. It is a 3rd Gen SAA with beautiful blueing and color case hardening. Has nice stag grips and a 7.5" barrel. It has been shot, not by me, but very little. There are a few very minor handling marks but overall this is in fantastic shape. These are going for 2K on Gunbroker but I would rather sell it local. $1700

  6. For now, true. These things don't last forever though. At some point, components will be available again, that's the time to stock up in preparation for the next one ...

  11. If the grease doesn't have anywhere to run to and forms a puddle under the food and any flame gets near it she will have a grease fire. Ask me how that turns out

  12. The catch pan is the rusted pan under the burners and the hole in the center is for the grease run off. Looks to be missing the catch can. As mentioned above she can buy a factory made catch can or you could save her some money and make one out of a soup can and a metal coat hanger. Since it's not been used in a while id use goo be gone and remove that sticker on the underside of the lid because that will be a nasty mess when you fire it off the first time. Grill grates also look rusted up. I'd fire it up on high for 10 minutes with the lid closed and let it get to 500°+. Have a clean wire brush, veg spray oil and a clean damp rag handy. Kill the flame, open the lid and hit the grates with a wire brush followed by the spray oil then the damp rag. Fire it back up and she should be ready to make some good grilled goodies.

  13. This updated version of the German classic is in excellent condition, and comes with two 8 round single stack magazines along with the case and most importantly the SIG sticker. Like so many of the classic metal framed Sigs it is DA/SA with the thumb de-cocking lever just in front of the slide release lever, and has Siglite night sights. This is one of those handguns that I really like, but just don't use. Any time I think about getting rid of it I am reminded of how well it fits my hand and just what a solid, well made firearm it is. It's definitely one that I like to have more than I like to shoot, and I'm just better at shooting my Glocks so this never gets any range or carry time. So here, up for your consideration, is a very lightly used P225 A1. Price is $795, FTF cash sale in Nashville, and buyer must show a valid TN carry permit and sign bill of sale. No trades and no shipping. PM me if interested.

  14. You can grill them , the meat is so firm that it wont "mush" up between the grates. The main way I cook them is just like catfish. I cut the loins up in smaller pieces , put them in some salt water in a bowl and then roll them into a bowl of cornmeal and flour that is 2 parts cornmeal and 1 part flour. Then deep fry them in oil like catfish.

  15. To be honest I didn’t know you could eat them, But I never had alligator either. I used to see monster gar when I was a kid down south.

  16. I carry both depending on my needs at the time. Where I'm going, what I'm doing, how I'm dressed, weather, circumstances, etc and so on determine which gun I carry. Could be either one and I got no problem with that at all.

  19. So yesterday I drove out to San Antonio and went through Memphis before lunch. I took the detour over I-55 or whatever it was south of the bridge that is out of service. Not too much delay for me. Can't say the same for the people headed into Memphis from Arkansas. That traffic looked backed up all the way back to I-40 practically.

  21. I carry auto because they have a thinner profile for the same round count. I also shoot better with autos. now caliber and size depends on where I'm going.

  22. I tried eating gar last year and now it's the main fish I try to catch. The skin is hard as plastic and you need tin-snips to cut it open. After you get it open there are 2 long boneless loins on each side of the back. No need to gut it or skin it. The meat is odorless and firm like chicken. It's like alligator and I love it !!! This Gar was 3 feet long and both loins were around 15 inches long and nice and thick.

  23. I fish from the bank for right now until I get a boat. I still have fun. I wade in a lot of water while fishing in places like Caney Fork River and such. But this year I'm trying to get as many Gar as I can get to fill up the freezer. They love those minnows , shad and shiners that are caught with those nets. I just hope I don't get those weights caught on the bottom and break the darn net. I guess I'll practice in a shallow pond that I know is clear on the bottom.

  24. Excellent! I'm currently abandoning all social media and other business platforms that are anti-1A and anti-2A, etc. If everyone would walk away, 75+ million working class Americans, we could really shrink their bottom line. Heck, I’ve spent tons of cash on Amazon. I was buying nearly everything from them. We can’t continue to support businesses that do not support our Constitutional rights.
