  1. So educate my dumb self, What an I looking at here. A Mosin Nagant, right? Is there something special about this model? Another question, is that sling attachment normal on some models? I picked up one recently because I wanted to have one, but I was no picky about model and ended up with a Chinese model transplanted into a composite stock. I was looking more for the cheap milsurp level rifle. As far as mine go, I have the Mosin and a Enfield. I would like to pick up a M1 Garand at some point, but I am probably spent out for a while. If I get really lucky, I will get a Dragunov at some point.
  2. Goes back to situational awareness, though sometimes in normal traffic it might be impossible to avoid. best you can do is leave room in front of you to maneuver.
  3. Where did the guy come from? Was he in one of the cars? If he was not, best bet might be to lay on the horn. Start making a HUGE racket. Hopefully your doors are already locked and this amount of attention will cause him to flee. If he does not flee, look for a chance to draw your weapon if the noise is causing him to not focus on you. Then if you have a safe backstop, fire several rounds through the window. If he was in one of the cars then chances are both cars are involved. So unless there are a lot of others around, you may not get much attention.
  4. How vulgar...I can see her ankles. Lol I always like that these old criminals took time out for photo shoots
  5. I think these guys might have had a little something in them too. And it wasn't iced tea.
  6. Wow. I wonder if we are better off that he lived or not. Common sense people. Come on...
  7. Hate to say it, but in the past if you fooled around and did not use a gun safely and you hurt yourself, it was a painful lesson. Now it is grounds to sue the manufacturer. This is clearly a product fault, but one most of us would never encounter. Hopefully the recall does not cause a fuss for many of you. I know I do not yet have one of these, but would like to eventually.
  8. Just got a notice from AmmoFast.com. I have not used them, but I think someone around here said they had. They have these. Might even be neat gifts and the price is pretty good. Winchester Super-X 22LR 36 Grain Hollow Point Limited Edition Wood Box $0.06 to $0.07 per rounds BEFORE shipping. It looks like one 3000 round case is the $19.99 shipping which brings us to $0.075 per round. Still not bad for this ammo. 500 Rounds: $34.99 if you just want one box. Quantity Price Per 3000 (six wooden boxes) Buy 1 $204.99 Buy 2 $199.99 Buy 4 $189.99 $9.99 SHIPPING UNDER 25 POUNDS $19.99 SHIPPING 25-60 POUNDS
  9. Guess it is cheaper to fill the ground full of chemicals than to cut the trees. My dad bought one of those a while back to do some of the work on his land and on landscaping jobs. He loves it. I think he got it at tractor supply. Equipment is expensive and having something you only need a few times a year is a pain. Thought of trading someone a few days hunting (or something else) to do the work with bigger equipment? Or do you not want anyone on there?
  10. So TVA and the gas company do your brush cleaning for you. lol Glad you did not end up as a pancake. Have you thought of putting metal roof as your walls? It might make it lighter overall.
  11. So is this on your own property or a lease?
  12. Wal-Mart in Bristol, TN had several kinds of .22lr on the shelf. The 222 and 333 round boxes at .04 to .05 a round. I was there at lunch today.
  13. Usually I read modular as "expensive" or "crappy". These may be different though
  14. I think he made the cover versus concealment mistake. He assumes that window and roof will protect him when really it just conceals him.
  15. Yep ATF: Always Taking away Fun
  16. Yeah. It almost makes you wonder if they are orchestrating it. Maybe the "thieves" grab stuff that will profit the owners when the insurance pays. That is pure speculation. I wonder if a store's FFL can get revoked if they do not show that they attempt to avoid it happening? I know a lady that runs a gun store and when she got hit once, she installed surveillance, added welded bars to all the windows, and puts a lot of the best stuff away in the safe each night. She even will randomly stay a night in the store to add an extra layer of deterrent. Between her lady Smith and the stainless 12GA she keeps, people would be stupid to try.
  17. Everyone is scared to death that someone will complain about this and make it into a big issue. No one wants to go on record backing this guys actions because it might bite them in the next election.
  18. The sad part here is that there is a really good chance that a percentage of these guns will slip past destruction and into the hands of criminals anyway. It would be a haul too sweet to pass up for a dirty cop and his criminal buyers.
  19. Hawaii Police To Destroy $500,000 Worth Of Department Guns So totally legal functioning guns getting smashed. Sad... https://www.gunsamerica.com/blog/hawaii-police-to-destroy-500000-worth-of-department-guns/
  20. Do a rifle in it, a pistol in it and get some kydex printed in it for the holster. lol
  21. You mean something like this?
  22. I got about 10 strawberries. My ground cherries are growing well. I had a bumper crop of dandelions.
  23. I had one almost fly into my windshield tonight when it flew across the highway.
  24. What the crap stock is that on those? I assume they are ARs.
  25. Looks like a garden hose sprayer made of wood...
