Wow, that is a crippling injury right there. That person will never walk the same again.

very common practice with trap shooters......if done, always with the action locked back, or a break action gun open.  Both done with an unloaded gun.

Moral of the story keep your booger hook off of the trigger until ready to fire in a safe direction. I shoot trap and have NEVER rested the barrel on my foot. If you are that lazy or tired, just watch TV. It is moron's like this that give gun owners a bad rap.

Synopsis: Trap shooter shot a hole through his foot. I've seen worse photos of injuries. Simply reminder...gun safety everyone.

I can't say that I've never done anything that stupid/careless/negligent.

I won't say that I will never do something that stupid/careless/negligent.

I will say that if, or when I do, I won't post pictures of it on the internet ...

It sucks being stupid.  If that’s the way “organized” shooting events are carried  on then there needs to be a change in tradition.

Recent or not, it points to an obvious disregard to never point a gun at something you don't want to be shot. Why the rules of trap (or any other shotgun "game") don't expressly forbid it surprises me. Horrible example of "do as we say, not as we do." Gruesome picture = good reminder.
