The Never Ending Story.

This is something I've seen on other forums in the past. I thought I'd give it a try here. The game is simple. One person starts with a single line to the story. The next person adds one sentence and so on and so forth.  But only one sentence at a time.  Someone else must post before you can post again. But you can add to the story as many times as you want. Take it wherever you want, give it twists and turns. The whole idea is to have fun with it. Let your imagination run free.  With the group we have here, this could be quite entertaining.  

I'll start:

It was a dark and stormy night.....
