I think I've left out a couple. I was a dealer for 12 years, and have been collecting for another 20 years. I've sold or traded a lot away, and sold a bunch when I was divorced 20 years ago.

Believe it or not, I'd rather have the Lorcin .22 and the Hipoint 45 than the Essex or Colt 1911's. Both were utter garbage. The hipoint never jammed and the Lorcin, well it shot most of the time and I understood what it was before I took it home.

I tend to get stuck on a brand or 2 that I like a lot. This limits my experience, but I know what I'm getting when I go back for 2nds.

1. CZ (P-01, Phantom, SP-01, Shadow, 52, 75B, 82)

2. Ruger (Mk II, SP101, GP100, SR1911, Single Six)

3. Glock (Gen4 17, Gen 3 34)

4. Kel-Tec(P-32, P3AT)

5. Hi-Point (C9)

999. Taurus (TCP) - only one I wouldn't recommend
