Best way to Die?

In an absolute blaze of glory and I'm taking some people with me. If not that, then going in my sleep after a really good romp is a good second choice. But I really like the one where its kicking, screaming and in someone elses blood.....that is outstanding !

I have to agree with my pastor, I am absolutely not a afraid to die, its the process of dying that is frightening. My pastor has told of many many deaths he has witnesses through the years as a pastor ministering families, and I too just recently witness first hand account a slow painful death of a loved one. Hollywood has done the masses an injustice on the act of dying; it’s an experience I do not wish no one has to go through. I hope me personally I am caught up (Thess 4:17), otherwise quick, fast, and no thought time.

That too. Go to sleep. Don't wake up....at least not here.

That's the ticket.

Well that's just nasty.

Lol

Getting roundhouse kicked by Chuck Norris would be a good death

At Chucks age you would have to lay on your stomach for him to left his leg that high.

This thread kind of reminds me of the old joke, "I want to go peacefully in my sleep, like my grandfather - not screaming in terror like the other people in his car."

I kind of like the method of execution chosen by the condemned man in Monty Python's 'Meaning of Life'. He chose to be chased off of a cliff by a mob of attractive, topless women.

... I have no idea! Just speculation I've heard... maybe centuries ago, someone leaned down and asked, "How do ya like THAT???" :D

There was, actually, some study done by various individuals involving people put to death by beheading. Mostly, the combined results are inconclusive but there is at least some indication that some individuals do survive and retain at least some level of consciousness for at least a short time.

I have actually read a supposed account of a scientist who was curious about this very thing and, apparently, studied it as much as he could. Well, he got his chance to do the 'ultimate research' when he was sentenced to death by decapitation, himself. Supposedly, he told his assistant/understudy to watch carefully and if his brain still retained any level of awareness when his head hit the basket he would blink his eyes for as long as he could in order to communicate that awareness with the assistant.

I found a link to an article about that, and other, accounts:

I wouldnt mind dying during a surgery. You go in thinking youll be awake sitting on the recovery room in no time. And thats all she wrote. I was put to sleep once for a minor surgery and i remember waking up thinking..if thats what death is like then im cool with it.

I'm all for the less drama and pain (especially pain), the better. In my sleep would be fine. Although I'd likely be a stinky problem before anyone ever found out.

But the burning question is, why is this thread still in Long Guns? :)

edit: magic mod presto chango, Dolo I betcha. :)

Never thought about it much, but I suppose going out in a blaze of glory while taking a few Taliban rag heads with me wouldn't be a bad way to go. Maybe once I get to the other side I'll get the chance to shoot 'em again.
