I voted for Obama

You're a very sad example of an individual to assume that I can't articulate myself or support my stance because my response wasn't within the time frame your expected.

I would challenge you in a game of wit, but clearly you're unarmed.

After reading your posts I am reminded of and old proverb. " sometimes it is best to keep quiet and be thought a fool than to open your mouth and remove all doubt".

I don't see Obamacare as an accomplishment for us. I hate Obamacare because my medicine is now super high. But it is one of Obama's few political victories for himself.
Our insurance is $40 more a month now and we will now be taxed on what the company pays for our health ins. That will cost us about 500 a year, so that total is about $1000 a year more in taxes and fees that Obamacare is costing this middle class family to pay for his victory. That does not include the fact that our deductible and max out of pocket was changed by the insurance company.

I think he's been doing a fantastic job. I'm a hard working American that believes in responsible gun rights. Not trolling, just sharing. It seems that most people who were pro Romney didn't see the fallacy in his economic policy. He Is out of touch. All of this anti obama rhetoric will subside when we see that he's been doing a fantastic job a the economy continues to recover and unemployment continues to drop
I respectfully disagree. But it's your right to vote for who you believe is the best person for the job. Best of luck to you. Edited by Moped

I would have loved to hear kesava's answers to ET. Looks like that won't be happening. He's just around for the moment,
stirring poop. kesava, you know that bed you made will slowly wither away, until it's nothing. Enjoy it, troll.

Same here, the insurance I pay for at work just doubled. We are in Open in Enrollment and the plans they are offering are twice as much as last year and cover less with a massive deducible. Ask me if I am better now then 4 or more years ago.
Do to the cost of living my higher paying job does not cover as much as 8 an hour did back in 97, 98, 99, right up to 2004. Mainly do to higher gas prices.

Is he a troll? He has 244 active posts; he didn't just join, he's been here for almost 3 years. True, not a terribly active member, for whatever reasons he may have. Does a differing opinion constitute being a troll?

No, not until he attacked a guy for having a different opinion. Just stirring the pot. He knew he was going to get naysayers, and that's cool. But ETP didn't insult him or anything and this dude was a dick about it for no reason. He should go piss up a rope, elsewhere.

Typical liberal mentality, hit and run. Does not have the facts or mental ability to support his view. Just stirring the pot. Mommy probably made him turn off the computer and go to bed.

Not agreeing with him, but I say that he used a sound tactic. He is greatly outnumbered here, so he struck, inflicted as much damage as possible and made a hasty retreat. Hard to have an opposing view around here.

"I think our governments will remain virtuous for many centuries; as long as they are chiefly agricultural; and this will be as long as there shall be vacant lands in any part of America. When they get piled upon one another in large cities, as in Europe, they will become corrupt as in Europe."
Thomas Jefferson to James Madison, December 20, 1787

No doubt presidential elections are controlled by the "Big Blue Cities".

Not at all, as long as you are able to articulate your reasoning. The tactics you describe are those of a guerilla, not someone interested in debate.

That's the liberal way. Sidestep the question, then distract with name calling and personal attacks. Diversion successful.

Strawman fallacy correct?

Keseva,

Look, you are either, 1) trolling, which I do think some here deserve 2) Believe this, and posted it where people, who hate your candidate, will foam at the mouth 3) Actually unclear on the political bent of the majority here (and therefore must not have read their posts before the election.)

That said, a lot here have bought the GOP propaganda lock, stock, and barrel.

Is Obama awful? Yes. But, better than Dubya. Better than McCain would have been. And I do believe he is better than flip flop Mitt. (And I know there will be rage pointed at me for that.)

Is he going to collapse the country? No. We survived the likes of Dubya, Nixon, Hoover, Lincoln, Carter, etc.

I just wish we had a better candidate from the GOP.

I wish we had a viable 3rd, 4th, 5th, etc candidate(s) from other parties. Parties actively blocked by both the GOP (see the obstructionism pointed towards the Libertarian Candidate) and the Dems (see Ralph Nader's run.) But neither party wants you to have actual choice. They collude to ensure you have the choice bad or worse, or choice dumb or dumber. In other words, their candidates, and no one else. Some Republic, huh? These acts are the ones which will kill this great nation. Not one President, who is a symptom of the actual cause. Edited by HvyMtl

I don't think Obama is a better prez than GWB. But also don't think GWB was a better prez than Obama. It is a difficult thing to decide which sucks least. Kinda like trying to decide which is least painful-- a kidney stone, an infected erupted tooth, or a herniated disc?
It's not difficult for me at all, GWB wasn't a socialists at heart; he would have NEVER let four Americans die while watching it on TV and done NOTHING to stop it. Further, I believe, at the end of the day, he was an honest man who truly loved and wanted the best for the United States...I can say NONE of those things about Obama.

"Policies" are important but, at least for me, honesty, integrity and a true love of country are at least as important.

I just thought of one good thing about the way the election went. We will not have to worry about that Russian attack sub that was found in our territorial waters, the two new stealth fighter designs that China is testing, or the new aircraft carrier that China just put to sea. It would be totally illogical for them to attack us now with the fantastic job we are doing at self-destruction.
