Translation: Money talks. We thought the gay lobby had more money but apparently not. We now favor whomever will give us the most money. Thanks for your continued support.7 points

Joy, Pain, Sweetness, Sorrow, Silliness, Stress, Laughter, Goodness , Hope, and Peace that can come with this mysterious season....along with the children's incredible, irrepressible wonder and excitement at the coming Christmas morn. To each and every one that makes up TGO, a Merry Christmas from our family to you and yours. Whatever of those experiences listed above fills your season, know that you are loved. - Here's hoping you can see at least one smile like I've seen on my kids' faces tonight. So as my wife and I (more her) work as Santa's elves one more time on this Silent Night, we wish a whole and lasting peace for each of you. Merry Christmas.5 points

Try to keep this to the point if I can. I am the shipping supervisor at my company and the receiving supervisor is a good friend of mine. I took him to a gun show a couple of years ago and helped him pick out his first pistol ever, a Sig 2022. I then took him to pick up his first rifle, a Savage .308 bolt action. I then got them (he and his wife) informed on the carry permit procedure and the responsibility that comes with it. They both took the class last year and love going shooting with me. Well, some of you know I got my new Remington 870 for Christmas and he was all excited about it, and explained that he can't wait to get one but doesn't have the extra cash for it right now. His wife works in the office at the same company and I emailed her to see if she'd picked out his Christmas present yet. She said "No, and let me guess, YOU have an idea!" HA HA Well it took some searching because a lot of people were out of stock because of Christmas buying, and I had to stay in her price range. But I found a Mossberg Maverick Home Defense 12 gauge with 20" barrel for $239 at Specialty Arms in LaVergne. Steve held one for her yesterday till she got off at 4:30 and she went to get it. She pulled in at work after buying it to let me see it before she took it home and surprised him with it. Needless to say, he was NOT expecting that! I bought him a target slaying starter kit (ammo) to get him started. I won't lie, every time he gets his new first anything firearms related and he's eager to learn more about them, I get as excited as if it was for me. Anyway, I thought I'd share their growth and the cool story. It's really amazing to see people that want to learn and be responsible change with each trip to the range. Hell, we were all at that beginner stage at one time and I think it's important to share and pass responsible gun ownership on to people who will respect it!4 points

We've certainly had worse presidents. I honestly believe W loved this country. Can't say the same for the current dictator occupying the white house.2 points

I've avoided commenting but found a response that's fitting. I didn't go through the whole thread so hopefully this isn't a 205. I'm sure you guys are just as disgusted with the liberal agenda as I am. Merry Christmas. Ours: Like my dad did with my family when I lived at home, later this evening, sitting by the candle light, hot cocoa and blankets, I will read from the Bible the Christmas story Matthew 1:18-25, Luke 2:1-20, then I will close with John 3:16. We then will tuck the kids in for bed, then wrap presents, assemble toys, and go to bed around 2am. We will then get up around 6am, and have a blast. One of our quirky traditions we do is the making of the Christmas cookies and goodies in the days before Christmas, my young boys (8, 7, 3, and our 2 month old) with their Christmas green aprons on help their mother roll dough, cut cookies, and really make messes. Its quirky, but I love it! What is yours?2 points

Just got an email this morning saying my delivery was delayed and I needed to fill out a form. It came from Walmart Delivery. Not Walmart but it looks kind of official. I haven't ordered anything so I'm sure it's a phishing scam. Watch out for scammers this holiday.2 points

NY, CA and DC can have any laws they let the govt pass. My law is that I never cross the border into those states.2 points

Why don't you try to show up for another buy with a camera. Shoot some pics and start a thread. Nobody likes publicity.2 points

It's nice to be able to help people out now and again...especially when you can bring new people into the gun community and show them we aren't the crazy lunatics we are made out to be....1 point

They know that they could release a pink pellet gun and sell millions so I really don't think they care. Still disappointing though.1 point

A few of the liberal states actually codify 'assault rifle' to suit their legislative agendas.1 point

On my build, the barrel I have on order is .875, so the MicroMOA is out of the question at the moment for me. (Unless they begin to manufacture in that size). I'd like to get gas block for it in case I am wanting to run a silencer in the future, but also as a hedge against possible overgassing like what is happening on my current rifle. Hopefully won't have to worry about overgassing since the barrel is longer. :x:1 point

I am aware of the situation with Phil and qwacker barrel but the thing is A&E owns duck dynasty name and rights. If cracker barrel wants to do good then they should be promoting the duck commander line. Its owned by Phil and the family. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I747 using Tapatalk1 point

Look at the bright side guys, pretty soon it will be as economical to shoot .45 as it is .22. Sometimes thinking like a liberal makes you feel better even if nothing is really achieved. kinda like peeing on yourself.1 point

Oh, I caught it. I don't think you did though. He's trying to be "clever". Where are the words "one nation" in relation to the word "God"? "One nation" under "God"? That's why I said it was corny.1 point

It's debatable how much of the AK's design was really his. But he certainly got the credit. The NY Times' obit today is written by CJ Chivers, who wrote a comprehensive history of the rifle a few years ago.1 point

So Barry, George, Bill and Jimmy all go to pay their respects to Mandela. The flags in the United States flags were ordered flown at half mast. I would not consider Mandela an ally of the United States. What pisses me off is not one of the four living Presidents could drag their sorry asses to England to Margret Thatcher's Funeral. Obama sent George Shultz and James A. Baker two ex-secretaries of state. She was not just our staunchest ally, she was a true best friend to the United States. She and Reagan saved millions of lives with the fall of the Berlin Wall and the fall of Communism in Russia. Our flags were not even ordered to flown at half mast after her passing, but mine did.1 point

Holy f*ck I saw several times were people were inches or seconds from getting shot. Also, the only place ive ever seen more black clothing is at a Johnny Cash lookalike convention.1 point

I buy a lot of 9mm and .223/5.56 from them, I used to pay a little less than I do now. I think now it runs in .29 to .35 cents a round range. It would be much cheaper if I re-loaded. As for right now I only unload.1 point

Who cares about his politics. Actors are dancing dogs as far as I'm concerned. Get up on your back legs and hop around for my amusement you socialist twit. The opinions of that dog, however talented, are totally irrelevant.1 point
