I would like to see pictures of the IED. Now anything has the potential to be an IED but not everything that looks like an IED is an IED. Good to take precautions because all it takes is one IED and we will loose a few more freedoms for the sake of security.5 points

It's a great idea, even if it doesn't necessarily maximize the space available in a safe. That said, I don't see anything spectacular about the safe itself. Their angle seems to be marketing the rotating rack. I bet with a lazy susan base from Lowe's, a jigsaw and a sheet pieces of 1/2 plywood, you could make something similar and save yourself a couple thousand dollars.3 points

It's normal for a health care provider to ask that at the beginning of the conversation. If you have a carrier they don't accept, then getting all your personal information and finding out what you need done is a waste of everyone's time, unless you happen to be able to pay 100% out of pocket which is unusual these days. I'd be more upset if they took the time to get my information, get the referring doctor's information, find out a good time for me to come in, then tell me "oh, sorry. we don't take XYZ insurance." As for the location, you do know that some people live and work in different places, right? Depending on the time of day, an office near my work may be more convenient for me than an office near my home.3 points

When I was a lad we had a Mustang that required a minimum of two people to operate. Whoever road shotgun operated the 'throttle wrench.' As the throttle cable had broken, we tied a wire off to a wrench and attached it to the carburetor. It was a very valuable lesson in communication. "Upshift, now!" *reduce throttle* "Done!" *increase throttle* Now of course, the lights were a completely different matter, and in order to activate the rear brake lights, you needed a second person the the back seats to touch the bare wires together. This would lead to a three man synchronization that to this day I haven't seen matched without years of training. "Downshifting!" *reduce throttle* "Braking!" *sparking wires from the backseat* "Complete stop!" *release throttle" *constant sparking* "Taking off!" *increase throttle greatly* *no sparking* The car was a death trap. You had to start it from popping off the solenoid, and the rag bushing in the steering column was gone, which meant you had 45* of dead air from side to side before reaction, the floorboards didn't exist, but the road signs kept you from stepping through, most of the time. Now, looking back as a mostly responsible adult, I am appalled at my actions, but at the time, just an old redneck kid deep in the woods, it was the time of my life. I had a car, and I was free.3 points

Not going to be a very long series. How long can some Californians last against zombies without firearms? Or worse yet, how are they able to kill zombies when the guns are all locked up in their storage containers.3 points

So after trip to eye doctor about new glasses last week he wanted me to go to Loden Vision Center for a cataract evaluation exam. I called Yesterday and when the woman answered to the phone she said May I help you and I said my eye doctor said I needed to call you and get an appointment for Cataract exam. The next words out of your mouth was who is your insurance carriers?????? Didn't even ask for my name first. I fired back and said don't you even want to know my name or is the money more important than patient care at Loden???? He tone changed really fast and she began taking down all my information and then finally got around to my insurance carriers. I told her I wanted an afternoon appointment. Now I called the Gallatin Location Of Lodens and she says which office do you want to go to and named of 3 that would require a 30 + minute drive and I asked he if I had called the Gallatin Location and she said yes and I said does my address not say Gallatin Tennessee and she said yes and I said if I live in Gallatin and your office is located in Gallatin why would I want an appointment in downtown Nashville? A long pause on the phone and she said they had appointment for 1:45 of September 2nd and I said I will take it and I thanked her. I sincerely hope that their doctors are much more intelligent than she is............... :stunned:2 points

To be fair, seems the public wasn't permitted in there for this one, not even sure who the few people on the audience were. Would have to see the demographic about TV viewership though ... While I agree is was a relative "non-event", I think Carly "won" it, so I do look for her star to rise as some of the "a team" falter. She might wind up being veep pick or something, who knows. - OS2 points

She's in the prelim bout, starts in an hour. If she can pull off being the biggest fish in the smaller pond, might be better than having been in the feature event in the first place. I must say I've been quite impressed with her every time I've heard her responses to questions. Her take on ISIS and other Mideast issues on Morning Joe yesterday was amazing with its detailed knowledge of the various countries involved, much different from the usual "just hammer them" responses. - OS2 points

Are the late models better? I thought all the models were about the same? :) Nice car, looks roomy. :up:2 points

Instead of Trump going third party he should run as a democrat. He gets what he really wants unless his goal is to piss off more republicans and see the country continue its downward spiral. Don't put much faith in the Drudge poll. Let's see where he is by this time next week.1 point

I'm extremely disappointed in Fox News after tonight's debate... 1.) It was a circus and unorganized. 2.) They picked fights between candidates and tried to make Jeb Bush look like a knight in shining armor. 3.) They made it a point to try and bury Trump early "literally the first question" and never looked back after that. Fair and unbiased my ass...1 point

I'm not sold on Trump. I really appreciate his verbal incontinence and I believe he would probably run the business aspects the country very well. But there's more too it than that. Plus, I think he's a closet liberal when he falls out of peoples good graces.1 point

Has iTunes ever been easy to use? If it wasn't iPod, iPhone, or iPad very few people would be using iTunes if it wasn't for those devices. Thanks Robert1 point

Trump is of course almost certain to fade, just because of who he really has been politically, which is far more liberal than even the least conservative part of the GOP. I'm thinking that if 4 or 5 are still tightly bunched before Super Tuesday, you might see one go ahead and match up early with a veep to try and gain the edge ongoing. If election were tomorrow, given the choices we have, I wouldn't exactly gag at pulling the lever for say Rubio/Fiorina. - OS1 point

This is a cool video I saw a few days ago. I follow his channel. https://youtu.be/e3anGl5kdiY Also, I know it's not a two stoke, but the Harbor Freight 6.5 hp Predator motors run on sale for $99 all the time and are a Chinese copy of a Honda. You can actually buy parts from Honda for that motor from what I hear. There is also a lot of aftermarket support for it.1 point

I really like SLR Rifleworks. They offer a 14" and 15" in kemod and M-Loc. I have their 9" Solo M-Loc on my AR pistol. Awesome handguard. I plan to buy another for my next build. http://slrrifleworks.com/index.php?route=product/category&path=66_106 I have a low profile adjustable gas block under mine, but they are slim1 point

Yeah, a lot people do think they can just screw companies over. At least some of it is from people not reading what it is they are so generously putting their signature on. Then there are those that just want to prove they get what they want or that they're smarter and more cunning than the company and/or the rep they are talking to. But companies are starting keep track of that kind of behavior, especially "constant credit seekers". Then they shit their pants when they think they you are transferring them to a "manager who will give them what they want", when instead they are going a department that specializes in severing the "provider-receiver" relationship. Haha.1 point

I like the USG Pro line. I have one in 15" and the price is certainly right for a nicely made piece of gear. It's slim though so double check the dimensions for you're gas block. I'd recommend getting one of the ones you can adjust at the front. I also like the MI SS rail. I have a shorter one, but it lines up with the vent perfectly on a BTE gas block set screw on a carbine length barrel. I like the look of the YHM stuff that came out awhile ago, but my experience is limited to some of their more 'archaic' models. I like them for what it's worth.1 point

I like it. I don't care much for Trump in the political arena but he is forcing the politicians to talk about what they always skirt around. If a huge gaff occurs and Trump is put down, there will be so much of the conversation moved towards what Paul or Cruz have tried to do, that they will slide right in to fill the gap. Trump somehow got the actual issues to the front, while stepping on the others in the process. He gives out Lindsey Gramnesty's phone number, Gramnesty responds with a video of him destroying his phone to show off. Gawker gives out Trump's cell number and he puts a campaign message on it so everyone calling gets that. Guy deserves credit for playing like a pro, and I can't wait to see what happens at the debate.1 point

That guy parks directly behind my office...he works at the shop next door and he was sporting an american flag for a while. He changed to the Dont Tread On Me recently. That car is a work of art...has a bucket covering the carb, uses a gatorade bottle as a gas cap "he stuffs it in the inlet", has xm radio, a shop rag as a passenger side windshield wiper, and some other random bits of awesomeness. I'll take some up close pics and post them later.1 point

Haslam says, "since AG's opinion has raised questions that may justify lawmakers reviewing the guns-in-parks measure for possible clarity." The "questions" of course always involve how can we possibly allow the people we reluctantly license to carry to actually carry. http://www.wbir.com/story/news/politics/2015/08/03/haslam-says-guns-in-parks-bill-worth-reviewing-for-clarity/31071349/ - OS1 point
