Good job passing. It seems some people have very inflated ideas in their heads on pricing even in a good market. Now they verge on ridiculous. Just because a gun is old does not make it valuable either.2 points

I’m sitting in Orange Beach trying to think of a way I could go help. I understand they want everyone to stay away from there at this point. I guess that’s thes best way to help right now.2 points

Can y'all image what would happen if Turnbull got their hands on one of these? Think something like this:2 points

Most of us don’t carry a copy of our DD-214. There have been a lot of advantages and discounts for Veterans but many require an ID card. Unless you retired from the military or are in the VA system most of us don’t have one. When GM offered a Veterans discount I had to go home and get a copy of my DD-214. Now you can get a Veterans ID card. I didn’t know about this until my wife told me a lot of her shopping offers veteran’s discounts. So I looked into it. I don't have mine yet and don't know how long it takes. https://www.military.com/militaryadvantage/2018/02/16/should-you-get-new-veteran-id-card.html https://www.vets.gov/1 point

We always have put enough down to avoid PMI and escrow of taxes and insurance. Our mortgages have never stayed with who we originated them with either. Banking is one strange beast how they sell mortgages is so odd.1 point

Secondary market lenders typically dont allow you to keep insurance in that manner. You might get away with it from your local hometown bank, but even they shy away from it.1 point

Thanks for the well wishes! I'm excited to report that we are officially sold out. Looks like a wide range of backgrounds, ages, and experience levels. Should be fun. Looking forward to working with these ladies.1 point

Some of them were built using the newer codes. A lot of the forgotten coast has a lot of old construction - without the tie ins and back filled block. That stuff is gone.1 point

The problem right now is getting there. Miles of I-10 and 98 are still closed to remove debris. Talking to colleagues and friends on the ground, it’s hard to even get to the affected area - and these are folks with air assets and boats There is going to be a time to help. Unfortunately that day isn’t going to be today.1 point

I'm sure other calibers are going to be available, but these have to catch on and get some range time first to see if anything creeps up. I would like to shoot one, to see what the recoil feels like, and to see if it would be a good platform for intuitive shooting.1 point

When I have done this I used 1 locking case large enough to hold the guns plus mags and suppressor. That then was declared and inspected and after they had me fill out the tag I use a "bicycle lock" type trigger lock to then attach the case to the inside of my suitcase so someone can't just open the suitcase and easily take the locked case out of it. Now my experiences have been with Delta. I can't really speak to SW Airlines, but I've flown a fair amount with firearms and not had any issues yet.1 point

You should pay more attention to the news. Did you happen to notice how far inland flooding occurred from the last big blow?1 point

Maybe. He came in knocking everything off the tables. Not the first time somebody made a loud entrance here, and wound up falling into the pace later. In this case, David had a bigger picture.1 point

Not possible. Unless it was some kind of loan shark lender. Feds require insurance on loans and ive yet to see a legitimate lender that didn't require insurance.1 point

I guess we’ve gotten away from “prayers for all those in harm’s way” to “sorry you’ve lost everything but life’s a bitch and you’re on your own”, literally a couple of hours after the hurricane hit land and is still raging. Nice.1 point

I have an annual family hayride/bonfire Saturday afternoon but I’m hunting before I head up there. I’m excited about both of my plans on Saturday and being cooler makes both more enjoyable1 point

I generally just fly with a larger suitcase sized Pelican 1600 series when I'm taking guns. It's about as non-tactical of a color as you can get(yellow). I've never had a problem - or much concern. Make sure you've got appropriate insurance and don't worry much more about it.1 point

I truely hope you have a good crowd and yep, a diversed group at all levels so it will make it more fun and also help newbies learn what they need to know...1 point

You can add more than one person to a trust such as family members and Friends. It should also make it somewhat easier when you pass away for whoever has to deal with your NFA items. This is just my opinion. John Wells is a member of TGO and did my trust. He would be the man to talk to.1 point

I still love to go and do as much as possible but it does get old going solo and only being able to shoot paper in doors. The Gun Room is a nice range but my goal is to get some land of my own and go from there. Other than hanging with the family there's nothing I enjoy more. Getting in to shooting suppressed has been a blast and other than funds I don't plan on slowing down.1 point

Tennessee allows veterans to have the veteran status on your drivers license. Just take copy od DD214 to local drivers center and they will process for you. Worked for me.1 point

Although Im retired from the military and have a retired ID card, I went ahead and got the VA ID card just in case. It took about 2 month and was free and painless. You have to upload a picture and your dd214 after filling out the online app. They will email you status each step of the way.1 point
