  1. Recently picked up this gem from @bud and managed to get to the range with it this week. She’s a great shooter, even if I’m not. Half size silhouette at 10yds.

  2. It's made from 5/32" thick 1084 carbon steel. I did a hollow grind on this one. OAL is 9 3/4" and a blade length of 4 1/2". It has a black oxide finish to add patina and aid against corrosion. The handles are spalted elm with Padauk and black G10 liners. The pins and lanyard tube are brass. The combo kydex/leather sheath shown comes with it.

  3. My guess is he's working a deal and rolling over on everybody he knows connected to his charges. LE wants the big fish. My advice is to stay as far away from this as you can. Nothing good will come from your curiosity.

  4. That hollow grind looks great. Really clean lines.

  5. Sorry why I name it a Remington instead of a Winchester <<< BRAIN dumb!!! Has only had "22 Shorts" in it and only around 200-300 fired. My Dad got this with S&H Green Stamp!! Looking for a non-modifying mount, drill/taping is a no. Thanks for the info

  7. Yes prices go up. To give you an idea on things, the orange GTO is a date coded restoration. It has around 3500 hrs in it and it's first show scored 1096 out of a possible 1100. It is 1 of 58 built Ram air IV. The blue one is a nut and bolt restoration. Just a little over 1500 hrs. Obviously you can build one cheaper as depends on how far you want to carry it. I've built over 400 Corvette chassis for the older cars using late model components, but my next 2 projects are going to be a 70 TransAm and some kind of old style 60's Gasser Takes practice and mess a few up and fix them.

  8. They are catching on, especially for us old guys. I have a Vortex Venom 3MOA on a fullsize M&P Target gun and a BURRIS FASTFIRE 3 3MOA on a AR Pistol. I haven’t got to use the AR yet, but I took the M&P to the range and like it. I don’t really need sights of any kind on my carry pistols, so I haven’t tried them on any of those.

  9. Chuck, don’t trust that guy in that video, he closes his eyes when he shoots and at 10:30 he calls a 2” group at 7 yards “almost one ragged hole”.

  10. Starbucks stopped it; to everyone’s satisfaction. Other than the snowflake and the employee that was apparently either a snowflake, cop hater, or just stupid. Business employees shouldn't have to deal with someone with a gun when their premises are posted. And most won't, they will just call the cops. Once that starts with the cops having no authority to make an arrest; you will have dirt bags doing it just to make YouTube Videos. Just like the clowns in Texas did with taking their AR's to the local Starbucks. I will have been here 21 years in September and I have never seen a step backward or any anti-gun loopholes. Tell us what you have seen. If you have a permit; you can carry most places…even bars. Since just recently you don’t even need a permit to have a gun in your car. Your carry permit covers loaded rifles in your vehicle, and you can buy and sell privately to your hearts content. The many years I have been on this forum I, and others have been told “Baby Steps”, we have to take “Baby Steps”. There are no baby steps left. We are at the point of Constitutional carry. But no, what are we worried about? We are worried about taking away the right of a business owner to ban firearms from his property and worried that we can’t walk onto school grounds armed.

  11. As a former Police Officer I can assure you that unless you start making unreasonable demands; you will not be seen as “problem” for the Police. Do you not have any cops in your congregation? If so you might want to fill them in on what’s going on and let them handle it. If not, and the problem continues you can have an Officer come out and let them handle it however they think best. Keep in mind a couple of things though before you do that. Cops aren’t social workers like they have been in the past. If he hasn’t committed a crime there isn’t much they can do except maybe refer you to some agencies that can help you. If a crime is committed and there is probable cause to believe he did he; he will likely be thrown in jail. Jail is not a good path to help….ever. Sure you will here stories about that happening, but most of them are BS, the real ones are very rare. You would know better than anyone here if his actions indicate a possibility of violence. But it sounds like a good possibility your church or some of its members are about to be victims of property crimes. I guess what I’m trying to say is that as a former cop I believe the pastor and the elders of your church are in a far better place to deal with this problem than the Police. The Police can’t fix broken people, all they can usually do is break then some more. I feel there is more to the story if they have given up??

  12. Get a heavy plastic mallet or use a wood block to protect the case, then whack it, it'll come loose. Could also try leaving the bolts only loose a couple turns and tapping on the bolt heads.

  13. The new owner or On Target owns a company that builds/sells AR's, somewhere in Georgia. Most of what you see on the walls are their in house builds they are pushing. I spoke with him shortly after they opened the store back up and he seems like a decent guy, proud of his AR's and cerakote business. Like Dave said earlier I think it would be tough to own a retail gun shop and stay open. I'm sure the range keeps them afloat mostly. The margin on most guns are so low it's hard to live off that alone. Hopefully they do well, been there for what feels like forever now. They also have my suppressor so I need them to keep the doors open long enough for my approval or Trump to ban them.

  14. The gun business has dramatically changed since 2008. AR's are a dime a dozen now but will be the first to double when/if prog/soc/comm's (dems) take the presidency or get majorities in congress. Collectible guns have taken a hit due to price & the younger generation doesn't know what they are or have no interest.

  15. Well...that's sad. I play with adult Legos too, but still love my bolts, pumps, levers, stainless, wood and bluing. Like most things it's a fad phase I think. Extra popular because of the ease of building, or I should say easy universal assembly. It takes skill to work on/with wood and, say, rabbit ears and soldered side by sides. AR's are to the gun world what Legos are to the engineering/construction world. Where all the kids start

  16. These AR-15s seem to be reproducing in my gun safe, so maybe yeah.
