  1. It has arrived! Took it for a quick spin earlier. It's a blast. Surprising amount of torque and I haven't "unlocked" full power yet. I'll do that tomorrow.

  2. Found one! Bought a 2011 Ford Escape off of Craig's List. My research shows the 2011 was one of the best years for these cars. Excellent condition, interior is perfect. everything works, Got it at a good price. I was able to pay cash, so no payments like I would've ended up with at a dealer. Needs a couple of small things fixed, but its no big deal. What used car doesn't? I even like the color. Unfortunately, the County Clerk's office is closed again this week. So I can't get tittle and tags until next week.

  3. Maybe wait a little longer on that full power mode…I don’t know how much power it has but it looks light and I’d imagine that torque can get away from you quickly.

  5. Yup. Hasn’t been the same since W pushed his way in. I never worried about filling up my tank prior to his term. Yep! Thanks Brandon. I can finally fill up for for less than 40 bucks. Please keep doing whatever you are doing. Make it drop further.

  6. And the only one I’m interested in following. I’ve never understood following people’s private lives that I don’t know. Hell, there are people I know and am close to that I don’t know as much about as some of y’all know about the queen. I don’t even understand the Royal family’s purpose.

  9. Me and my buddy been on the hogs for a couple weeks and killed 10 but got a good one the other night. My buddy was on the green light and soon as it lit him up he took off a running. Busted him quartering away on the run at 100 yards, the 450 still took out his lungs an the bullet was caught under the skin behind the opposite shoulder. Probably made it 80 yards before piling up. This is on private land with an exemption to bait and use artificial lights of a night.

  12. Judging from what I've seen and read online, you can get away with a lot. I passed a few cars in my neighborhood and didn't get a 2nd glance. Most people are going to assume I'm on a small motorcycle or a bike of some kind. A few people in other states said they got stopped by cops who only wanted to know where they could buy one. They are starting to crack down in California though. Go figure.

  15. I think stuff like this is incredible. For a "normal" long distance shot I think the procedure you described is realastic. But when you factor in things like the below quote, your pretty much lobbing indirect fire into a target. "Scott made the wind and elevation call of 1,092 MOA up and 17 MOA left. " "Winds that morning were sometimes variable with an average of 8mph, changing from full value at 7am to a tailwind just before noon, making calculations for the shot a real challenge; for every mile-per-hour of wind, they had to aim almost 26 feet further to the left of the target. "

  16. Shot it a little when I got home. Maybe 50 rounds. Got it at Bass Pro Shop, USED manufacturer 05/16. The side is slicker then $h[t, if you know what I mean. Can't wait to put it through its paces First 9mm 1911. Fit and finish is awesome. Let me know if you get the 10mm, and how you like it. Good luck.

  18. Theres a listing somewhere in the announcement forum on how to link them in another host site. Otherwise you just need to find a way to either compress or down the resolution of the photo to decrease file size.

  21. We actually do have state supremacy with regards to firearms laws in Tennessee. The issue with things like the metal detectors at the fairgrounds are actually a specific carve out granted in the statutes by the state. Signs carrying the force of law is something that many of us find obnoxious and have worked for a long time to change. I would strongly suggest joining and supporting the TFA as they are doing all of the heavy lifting in the fight for that change. The way the TICS system works is fairly obnoxious and I won’t argue with that. However, I will say that in the grand scheme of things, there are better places to spend political capital to make changes in the near and mid-term. The lack of public land that is open and available to shoot on is something that I always make sure that I warn people of who are considering moving here from out west. Public land just simply doesn’t exist in the manner in which it does where you are from. State parks and other public lands here generally are set up for a much higher density of usage than required for the millions upon millions of open acres that you find out west. It sucks, but it is what it is. As far as the carryi of loaded long guns, which is illegal in Tennessee unless directly connected to sporting activity, I too would like to see some change within that realm. That said, you were coming from one of the last vestiges of western culture that exist in this country, and until California started screwing everything up coming in from the West Coast, you generally had a spectrum from very urban to very not going from east to west. The cultures reflected that. The more urbanized the area, the less acceptable that sort of behavior is Not because it’s wrong, it’s just unusual in an urban setting. On that note, the greater metro Nashville area has a greater population than the entirety of the state of Idaho. It may surprise some, but even the very rule parts of Tennessee are very densely populated in comparison to much of the western states that are mostly owned by the federal government. So, I’m not trying to shut you down or tell you you were wrong. Just provide a little context from the perspective of somebody who has spent significant amounts of time out west as well as being from this area. You do bring up things that absolutely could be better. I strongly recommend supporting the Tennessee Firearms Association’s work if you would like to see progress made on those fronts.

  24. Nice find! We had a red 2011 just like it (with a little less chrome), but didn't keep it long enough to see how long it would have lasted (traded it for a Mustang - that is another story). On a side note, we drove it to a cabin in Pigeon Forge from the gas station at Canada & 40 in five hours and 50 minutes and still got 25 or so MPG. And didn't even get pulled over. Good luck with Halbert's House of Horrors.
