  2. I picked up a new old shotgun at an auction recently and I finally got it from my FFL. It is a 1936 Remington Model 11 Sportsman autoloading shotgun, 16 ga. My FIL had a Browning A5 Sweet 16 at one time, sadly it was stolen. I was out bid on the lever guns I was really after and just following the auction and it popped up. The price was good, even with the buyer's premium. It included a period Lyman Cutts compensator with a full choke end. it also has a vintage rubber slip on recoil pad that was hard as a rock. Also, it will be a sweet mate for the 1936 Remington Model 81 autoloading rifle (.35 rem). They look quite similar. I did my normal teardown and deep cleaning, removed the old recoil pad (to find another underneath). The finish on the stock was meh, with obvious wear under the recoil pad. The forend was in good shape. Both pieces ended up with a deep clean/strip and a hand rubbed Danish oil finish. One of these days I will get it (and all the lever guns) to the range for a day of shooting. These photos are from the auction site: These were taken when I removed the recoil pad: These are after I put it all back together. The stock and forend will still get a few more hand rubbed layers of Danish Oil: The Model 81 for Reference:

  3. The Model 11 Remington is basically the same thing as a Browning Auto-5. Designed by JMB himself, it is recoil operated, not gas, so it’s got some thump to it. It also one of the most naturally pointing shotguns there is, if not the best.

  10. I have 2 great pistols here, but I will only sell 1. 1) Staccato C2: Comes with Staccato case, tactical sight plate (Dawson Precision), red dot sight plate (Dawson Precision), Holosun 407K red dot, 6 magazines (2/16, 2/17, 2/20). This is a great pistol with minor holster wear and modest round count. This package would cost 3300.00 new and I am selling for 2,700.00. There isn't a lot I can say about the C2 that shooters don't know. New price 2500.00 Not Available any longer. 2) Cosaint Arms COS21: 9mm double stack comes with case, extra grip module (competition style), C&H optics mount plate for Holosun 507C, and one for Holosun 507K. The gun has the Holosun 507K green dot installed. This gun also has the iron sight plate included. It comes with 2 MBX 17 round magazines, one 23 round MBX magazine and 2 Altas gun works 20 round magazines. Currently the gun is set up for carry but changing the grip module gives you a completely different gun. Note: the MBX 17 round magazines will not work on the competition grip module. If you would like information about Cosaint Arms there are a couple interviews on YouTube with the owner, Greg Mooney. He's a good guy and is accessible for technical questions or aftermarket orders. I have right at 3,000.00 in this package and will sell for 2500.00. I am near Columbia and am willing to travel a reasonable distance to meet buyer. New price 2200.00. SOLD

  15. My first CZ was a PCR about 10-12 years ago. Got it in a trade, so I dont know what work had been done to it. I didnt even know about Cajun and CZC back then. What I DO know, I shot it with my son one day, and also brought my Sig P226 Legion. That PCR shot circles around the Sig. After that I've been a CZ fan. I always wished I kept that PCR. Ive had 2 since then, but both stock and neither shot as well as that first one.

  23. I love my model 11. It was my grandfathers. It was the only shotgun I used till my late 20’s. Was quite the shock when I used a different shotgun to find out that not all shotguns kick like a mule like the model 11.
