  1. We call them Redeye Bass, but their real name is Roanoke Bass (Ambloplites Cavifrons). They are only found on three river basins in the world, Roanoke River, Tar River and the Neuse River. They can only be found on the upper reaches of these rivers because they need swift current and gravel beds to spawn. The world record is 2 lbs 10oz. The one in the picture is a young bull, they turn dark during spawning season.

  2. The recent events are tragic. I don't have much hope for SIG stepping up to do the right thing. May the Airman rest in peace.

  4. Bought it brand new and carried it for a couple of years. Been to the range once. Never even broke it in. It has some tiny imperfections pictured for u just from where it was pocket carried in a soft holster. The laser stopped working a while back so it has sat in my safe for a couple of years or more. You may be tech savvy and can determine why. Comes with original box, paperwork, soft case, and 2 7rd extended mags. Price is much lower than a regular micro without laser grips. Must be legal to own and be a TN resident. $450. TEXT IS BEST! 615-504-1491

  5. Prescription glasses for shooting can be challenging. I wear progressives as my daily pair, and they don’t help much for shooting. Where I end up looking through the lens when shooting is at the long distance focus which makes it impossible to focus well on the front sight. For shooting at the range, I ended up getting a pair of single vision safety glasses with a modified prescription for the right eye that lets me focus on the front sight. I ordered these through Zenni. They have very reasonable prices on basic Z87.1 frames and lenses. My need was for range glasses where I can manage without having the full progressives. I don’t hunt, but if I did, I would just need to do my best with the progressives since that would require being able to see close, mid, and far at any given time. https://www.zennioptical.com SportRX is another I have used in the past for cycling goggles. https://www.sportrx.com/ .

  7. I have 9 Glock 17 factory magazines. All are 17rd capacity. All are in great shape and very lightly used. I mean lightly because I used them 3 times each. 2 of them are the Clinton Era law enforcement only mags. They are stamped 1994 and are like new. They have never hit the ground at all. As you probably know these will work in any double stack 9mm Glock. I'll take $125 for all. I'm in Clarksville but can drive up to 30 miles to meet a TGO member with positive feedback to buy them.

  8. I love the feel of the FNS-9, but I need to send this one in for the recall work. The FN 509 is a damn gorgeous piece, with a slightly lighter racking tension? It is about 50g heavier, however. They both feel great, but the FNS-9 seems to have the edge solely due to the lighter weight. I'd love to hear feedback from the forum!

  9. Totally understandable! Their voluntary free repair is what made me purchase this pistol (at an awesome price right after the height of the worries, haha).

  10. Craftsman Mower: 917.288516 https://www.searspartsdirect.com/model/3o65abb09b-000247/craftsman-917288516-front-engine-lawn-tractor-parts I've been troubleshooting this over the previous week or so. So, today I rebuilt my carburetor with the factory Briggs & Stratton rebuild kit. I didn't immediately see anything that looked too off, the one thing I didn't replace was the o-ring on the jet as apparently my kit did not come with one. Other things I have done this week include replacing the spark plug, new air filter, and trying a cheapium replacement carb from Amazon. If I recall correctly (I may be wrong), on the cheap replacement carb it seemed to idle better but immediately bogged down as soon as I hit any grass. The blades would engage just fine but the smallest amount of cutting would make it bog and sputter. Right now, if I manually throttle it up more it seems to run/idle better. But right now I've got the throttle screw in all the way. I've experimented with the fuel/air screw so much by slowly screwing it in all the way in and out but right now is about the "best" I've got it. I didn't open the welch plug although it does seem intact. I'm at a loss. What is next? The following link has a video exactly as it is when I left it today. Five photos of the carb itself before I rebuilt it. Do you think this is a factory Nikki carb or aftermarket? Most of the ones I have seen are actually stamped "Nikki" and "Briggs and Stratton". I bought the mower used, I suspect someone slapped a cheap $20.00 carb on it to "get it running". I've used it for over a year with generally no issue but this season I've noticed the surging/idle issue. https://www.smugmug.com/gallery/n-vwXdVM

  11. Also, do you think it is too lean or rich? I suspect rich.

  12. I was pretty sure it is based off of how it looks. Also, the factory OEM needle allowed the float to completely bottom out today. I reused the "old" needle which seems to fully seat and the float allows a slight gap. Yes, from what I remember it idled fine but bogged under the slightest grass. But from what I could tell, it did not have a mixture screw: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0B6B6GBMZ?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title Maybe I'm wrong, but I think I decided to not really mess with it anymore. It needs to go back to Amazon. I suspect the jet hole may be undersized. Taryl Fixes All talks about this and I think it was him that "fixed" one of these by drilling the jet hole bigger. Good news, I literally just purchased an OEM carb for this mower (I started typing this post, thought it out, placed the order, and then typed this). I liked this one because it still has the plastic piece on it, so I imagine that it hasn't been screwed with (pun fully intended). It may be gunked up or need rebuilding, but at least I should be able to trust it is all factory. https://www.ebay.com/itm/187398740475 I may slap it on and see how it runs, or take the parts out of my carb and put in this OEM one. Do you think first and foremost I have a carb issue still to handle?

  16. This has recently been one of my " new " favorite quotes from Psalms. I found this again thru the Mountain Mule Packers, a benevolent and very lovely service bringing supplies to folks in remote places ( Think E Tenn and N Carolina flooding plus the recent Texas flooding here ). It is their guiding verse : Psalms 46:1-2 NIV ...[1] God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. [2] Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea, ... leroy....

  20. OK, check it out, back before Sig was garbage they made top tier 1911s (I'm sure they still do). One of the most highly regarded was the original Scorpion, tan cerakoat with olive Hogue Piranha grips. This gun is fantastic, seriously, I love this gun, but I need a new rifle more than I need this. As it sits I'd like $1,000 for it. It has a Nighthawk drop in threadded barrel and bushing that fit perfectly tight with no modifications. Has an EGW wide safety fitted, Wilson Combat full length guide rod, and all springs have been replaced with Wilson Combat and the trigger has been tuned. If you want it in its factory settings, I can remove the FLGR and the Nighthawk barrel and put the factory parts back in. I can even put the factory ambi safety back in. If she goes back to factory I'd do $800. Does have some slide wear from holstering, and other wear from use here and there, but it is ultra reliable and has been exceptionally maintained. only trades I’d consider are a short barrel 7mm08, 308 or 30-06 or a 20 inch 7 PRC

  21. Vision Kamado grill bundle, BNIB, charcoal or propane, accessories. A couple of years ago I put it the word with friends and family that someone should gift me a komado style grill. Well, I got two of 'em. And me being the irresponsible person that I am, I've been using the other one that is just like this one forgetting that this one was sitting in the way right in the middle of my shop, still strapped to the pallet it arrived on. Oh well, a little late to return it now. So, here it is, up for grabs. Best I can tell, these things retail for about a grand, give or take, depending on accessories. This one needs a new home so it's half price. $500 cash and I'll load it onto your truck or trailer. I'm south of Columbia, between Summertown and Ethridge. Please save me from having to deal with FB marketplace!

  26. 275kish on the odometer. Bought from dealership with 220k on it. Carfax checked out at the time that it was maintained. Good: 4 new tires under 8k miles on it Definitely rear pads and rotors within last 8k. Full synthetic every 5k New (used) AC compressor and cold air. Bad: Looks like all hell. Lugged around tools and a dog. Beat to absolute you know what aesthetically. All the leathers ripped. Probably some of those fun Pennie’s that are concreted black junk in an ashtray somewhere. Front accident has bumper zip tied up but has held for awhile. Never replaced drivers airbag. Door is finicky when closing. I’ve been keeping it as a backup as I rebuilt a transmission on an 02 accord I had and my rental car cost was $800 for the two weeks during covid. I’ve been driving it every 2-3 weeks to Kroger and to get dinner to turn it over, I went two weeks ago and battery ran dead on me. Fine with a battery tender now but will need a new battery after that. Just don’t need another car to maintain and could use space in the drive. Figured I’d see if anyone on TNGO wanted a cheap little beater. Not willing to deal with Facebook, can scrap for not much less but seems like a shame. Would trust the car to get me to Canada and back, tires and air are decent, just been through hell. Open to trades, wide open.

This is not the cheaper police trade in P6 model this is an all original P-225. $825 cash FTF around Columbia to a TN resident over 21 who is legally eligible to own firearms. HCP preferred.

  30. Hey guys, here’s my STI Ranger 2 45 automatic in. combat commander sized 4.15 inch barrel. It’s an 8 shot. It’s like new in the box- very low round count, includes one magazine . this gun is a custom built 45 auto with the STI staccato Quality parts. It’s been a safe queen for a number of years and shows little to no wear . If you look at the pictures, the only imperfections you’ll see are due to lighting. It comes complete with box, included tools, one magazine, paperwork, hanging tags, etc. I’m looking for a face-to-face sale -meet in Williamson County in Brentwood Franklin Nolensville . In this middle Tennessee area in other words. These show up on Gunbroker from time to time and are in the $11-$1300 range depending on condition. I’m asking $1200 or best offer. Please reach out to me through TN gun owners if you’re interested . it’s basically a high-end 45 auto suitable for competitive shooting similar to the Wilson combat and other 45’s of that nature. Parts for these are still available from STI Staccato, Wilson combat , Dawson Specialty and other custom gun companies . staccato was rebranded from STI in 2020. This pistol was made in Georgetown Texas . absolutely like new , original in perfect condition. Let me know if you’re interested..

  35. I did what I could, contacted both Senators and my Representative but obviously my opinion does not matter to them. As with most I am very disappointed that control of both chambers and the Presidency still does not give the Republicans enough nerve/strength/resolve etc. to represent the people that put them in office. The $200 was not my issue it is the government overreach. I suppose I will continue to hold my nose and vote for the lesser of two evils but it is so frustrating. Sorry for the rant.

  37. And if things still freak you out, God offers a supernatural solution: "Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus." (Philippians 4:6-7)

  38. Love that saying! Exactly what I tell my patients: focus on what you can control in life vs. what you cannot, for when you try to control something that is not yours to control, the result is anxiety.
