I got this gem this morning. Some of you may remember the ad in question that we deleted.
I was grossly mistreated due to pricing concerns about 3 weeks ago by TGO Actual David. He deleted my listings and suspended my account over pricing on some AR mags. I was extremely upset with TGO more than you can imagine that a site like this would try to dictate pricing in a free economy. I received all kinds of nasty posts and people calling me names and so on. I also still have "warning points" on my account and a bad rep on the forum over this. I now see the pricing policy was reverted because it was not fair or appropriate for TGO to tell me what I can charge for MY items. I would like an apology from David and TGO for the way I was treated as well as removal of the warning points from my account.
Normally I don't make it a habit of sharing private correspondences but it's absolutely my prerogative to do so as I'm 1/2 of the conversation and the person did pretty much demand action be taken. So this is my action and it'll be a cold day in Hell before I apologize for deleting the original posting of two Magpul PMags for $250. The policy shift was not an acknowledgment that this guy was right. It was an acknowledgement that the Staff here does not stand a reasonable chance of ensuring that no ads designed to GOUGE our members slip through unnoticed and an acknowledgement that the members should be left to decide what is reasonable and what is not by voting with their wallets. But sending a report to me, demanding that I sit myself down and have a stern come to Jesus talk with myself and force myself to apologize probably will not yield the desired result. I know myself pretty well and I'm fairly certain that I can say with authority that I won't be agreeable to those terms any more than the members here will be agreeable to the idea of paying $250 for two $15 PMags just because there's a shortage of them at the moment. Maybe I'm wrong about that. Maybe someone will. Really don't care! But I know I'm right about the fact that TGO David won't be making any apologies for deleting that thread or issuing much deserved warning points. I know the guy pretty well and he's doesn't work like that. :hat:10 points

This is so great, I can't tell you how great I think it is, it's so great. :) Lots of blurbs on the web here and there, but nowhere better than this in American Rifleman, so I just scanned the thing. And the priceless part is that Rahm "DeadFish" Emanuel had to sign some of the checks personally!! (click on pic to expand to full size to read it): - OS8 points

http://www.npr.org/blogs/money/2013/01/31/170700177/should-gun-owners-have-to-buy-liability-insurance A friend of mine who is self-admittedly riding the fence on the current gun control efforts sent this story to me. My response to her was this: Curious what other people thought.3 points

I have quick access to a large stapler at work but it holds more than 10 staples. Is that legal for self defense? Would that be considered an assault stapler?3 points

Of course owning a gun puts you automatically at higher risk for a gun related accident than someone who doesn't own one. That's like saying that I'm more at risk for a lawnmower accident than someone who lives in an apartment. However, lawnmowers aren't covered in the Constitution. The mere mention of a requirement of liability insurance in order to possess a firearm should be met with a "you're a effing moron look" and walk away because the person lacks basic reasoning skills.3 points

With this administration I have learned while watching this hand (The AWB), what is the other hand doing (Amnesty For Illegal Aliens). I don't think even mighty O thinks he can get the AWB past the house or at least I hope not. Seems to me while we are focused on the 2nd he is pushing for 11-20 million new democrat voters. Stay all over congress about the 2nd, but if you oppose amnesty watch the other hand. I feel like we are being played.2 points

Have to apply for a class III permit to carry those.2 points

Although it may be smart to do so to CYA I don't think in any way that it should be mandatory. If people who own guns are required to buy insurance then people that own hammers or knives should be required to as well. This is nothing more than a proposal from a bunch of scared, uneducated gun grabbers who are trying to control us.2 points

Not to mention amnesty for illegals. I'm really shocked that our esteemed Senators from Tennessee didn't make the list. :rofl:2 points

LOL, I read that wrong the first time. I've ordered once from them and was very pleased with the entire transaction. Even got some good swag in the box.2 points

Turbotax. I see no reason to pay someone else to do what takes me an hour.1 point

If I don't end up using them for anything, I have a friend who has two ARs And I can give them to him for a Christmas or birthday gift. Either way, they will get used. I only bought two, and I am not going to put them on gun broker for twice what I paid for them either.1 point

It's like cars. They all get you for point A to point B. Fewer people have the cars that cost more. Naturally, people want what they don't have. While no one really wants what they or everyone else can have. But I agree, it's not a hobby unless it get expensive. At least that's how all my hobbies have been1 point

This is the dilemma. All solutions are required to be solved by politicians. How do you make a program non-political when politicians are responsible for implementing it?1 point

Well, population in mighty Paragould is 26,000, so maybe it won't take too long to quell that big crime wave. In the meantime, I agree with CCI: the Paragould Daily Press's webmaster should be put under the jail. - OS1 point

Collect some of your dryer lint and put it in a ziplock bag. That stuff lights great. You can also go to Wally World and grab a couple fire starter sticks or pack in one of the smaller logs. It's cheating but should work. Strip bark off any wood you think is too wet and that sometimes helps too.1 point

No, it is the rules not to step on a sales ad. O I WANT TO SOME TIMES, but I dont. David, you should give your self 10 points, but I have not heard of "good" points. It is your forum, we are guests in your house.1 point

I disagree with background checks, PERIOD! They are a bad idea and worse than useless. 1) Show me where background checks have reduced violence. Some states have a 100% background check law. Has it reduced crime? No. 2) How many folks have been denied on a NICS/TICS check for any reason, and then had it overturned on appeal? I've never been convicted of anything, been an FFL, then C&R licensee, own machine guns, and have had Top Secret security clearances for many years. I also am the only person in the US with my name. Yet, I've been denied twice since 1995, and had to appeal it. If this happens to me, what about the person who is truly in fear for her life who goes to buy a gun and gets denied? This happens with alarming frequency. 3) The NICS and TICS systems sometimes don't work. These systems go down with alarming frequency. again, do YOU want to make excuses when someone gets murdered because they cannot buy a gun when they need one? 4) Background checks are registration. Theoretically, ATF and other agencies are forbidden to retain this information. They lie. This information IS being retained, and when audits are performed, ATF and FBI have been caught red-handed. And if you don't believe that registration leads to confiscation, you haven't been paying attention. Katrina, California Assault Weapons, NYC, Illinois, Chicago, and now New York State have all turned registration into confiscation. Just say 'NO"!1 point

If you gave yourself a temporary ban, just think of the increased work load you'd have. For the duration of that suspension, you'd have do, not only your normal amount of chores around here, but you'd have to pick up the slack for yourself as well. That's just too much to ask of anyone. Be careful not to hyperextend any tendons or muscles as you raise your right fist and extend your middle finger, David.1 point

Neither does the GOP. Both sides jockey the tax code through the years to further reelection. Would posit more loopholes are in there due to Republicans. - OS1 point

I totally agree. I wish that elections weren't decided by who has the most money. Congress was meant to be comprised of normal citizens who go to Washington for a few years then return to their career. Not by career politicians who have never held a real job. P.S. Community Organizer doesn't count.1 point

A number of pro gun bills have been introduced in TN. We may find out soon enough how Governor Haslam feels about 2nd Amendment rights. Hopefully these bills move swiftly to his desk. Action speaks louder than words but his letter sounded pretty good.1 point

This story is a fake. Handguns are illegal in Chicago and therefore it is impossible that one was used.... again..... in the 600th-ish handgun related murder I Chicago in the past 13 months. Good thing the law abiding folks aren't allowed handguns to shoot criminals with. Can you imagine the mayhem if bullets were being fired back? At least the bullets are only going in one direction. Seems like they all got it under control up there.1 point

If the owner does in fact take the sign down, you HAVE to tell who it was so all the TGO'ers in the area can swing by and have a meal. Everyone that does needs to make a point to ask for the manager and personally thank him.1 point
