1. No I wouldn't. Christians are quickly becoming one of the most persecuted groups in America. If he was a muslim there would be 1k's of liberal groups backing him up. I would support his freedom to do so, but I would know he did it knowing the country wouldn't dare badmouth a minority, where as this young man is a white, Christian male, quickly become the most hated kind of people in America. 7.   That is precisely the mentality that has gotten this country to the point we are at now, where the government can do whatever it is they like.  If you haven't done anything wrong then there is no reason or excuse whatsoever for them to even think about accessing or otherwise analyzing your personal affairs.

I rode it one tight single track and turned into a good dirt rider, but that was one hell of a learning curve. My first street bike was a GSXR-750 at 17. Yes God watches over stupid people lol. I havent owned a bike in awhile, but Im currently looking for either an HD Dyna or a first gen Vmax. Sent from the backwoods of Nowhere

 15. True, but not the point at all. If we applied that logic to all things cops wouldn't bother asking before coming into your house or searching your car. I've been to countries where there are no boundaries for law enforcement. That same logic exists. We don't want that here, trust me.

 16. What a great precedent. Bitch the loudest and go to the front of the line, which pushes someone down the list who has been waiting longer. The situation is tragic all around, but looking for a villain here is emotions getting the better of folks. The organ donor system is set up the way it is based on reason and science. A family member of mine just received a transplant this year, so my limited understanding to how it works makes sense. This little girl absolutely deserves to live, but not at the expense of another child or adult who may have a better chance or has been waiting longer simply because her parents were able to navigate the media terrain better than most. I've read many of the articles surrounding this case and the general comments made by Americans, and they mostly seem to think that the HHS secretary can just wave a magic wand and get this girl an organ. Even if it worked that way, which it doesn't, what precedent does that set? There are people who die each day from injuries and ailments requiring an organ, and it's NOBODY'S fault. It's life, and bad things happen to innocent people. Making snap decisions on a case by case basis due to media attention will only KILL other patients who have been doing the right thing and may have been on the list longer or more qualified for an organ.

 20. I had a great time this weekend, made a lot of new friends, and look forward to the next.  In honor of this, I created a few awards....    "Commando Award"- Timestepper.  Despite his crutches, Timestepper came out and showed everyone several primitive skills and held everyone's attention the whole time he spoke. "Sunburn Award"- Whitewolf001.  His arms are lobster red and will now be known as Whitewolf Red-Arms. "Wet T-Shirt Award"- Spots.  10a this morning, pouring down rain, Spots is wringing water from his hat and shirt! "Youngest Overnight Camper Award"- Bigbabysweet's daughter. Despite less than desirable conditions, several of us stayed overnight.  She was definitely a trooper for sticking it out in addition to holding UncleJak's attention in thought provoking conversation about The Little Mermaid and Aladdin.  "Oldest Overnight Camper Award"- UncleJak.  I know.....I gave myself an award.....but I was the oldest overnight camper.... "Little Mermaid Umbrella Award"- Bigbabysweets.  I guess you just had to be there for this one...

 26.   I simply cant let this one go any further.   I want to say this as kindly as possible; but I simply dont believe that a "historical blueprint" of any kind that follows some european or chinese model is applicable to the USA.  I will grant that those in power would like to apply it; and we can quibble that there are areas where it has been applied (....think the ultra blue northeast here....); but it cant be applied everywhere.   Here's why (...i think, anyway....):   The "Soviet" and "Chinese" historicity is one of "serfs and masters".   It is completely different from the American mindset of liberty and freedom.  The difference between europe (...the old world...) and china (...the real old world...) is this "serf and master" thing.    When Peter the Great built St Petersburg, he killed his own people by the thousands doin this work.  They did it because they were cowed from the "serf and master" fiefdom thing.  Later when "Uncle Joe Stalin" ran things; the ruskies would die in droves at the hands of the 'aryan supermen" in tanks because they were more afraid of Stalin than they were the Germans; and i think that shows a real, abject fear...  The same thing went on countless times with the chinese dynasties and the chinese people.     The difference between the "old world" and serfdom (...which, by the way; i will grant that, the current crop of democrats and some willing republicans in power now, are trying mightily to bring to the new world --- the USA...) is that the original settlers to this country rebelled against serfdom and came to the new world (...later to become the USA...).  We are used to freedom here; we are the most free country in the world.  That's why everybody wants to come here; includin the muslums of the world.   Dont worry about "historical blue prints" that fit the "old world" mold.  They wont work here; thankfully...  Look at the hell that was raised at Manchester the other day when a US attorney had little enough sense to poke a few "delightful rustics" and constitutional government minded citizens the other day.  There were more protesters there with signs than there were members of this "supposedely put upon and persecuted" religious sect.   For the duration of the Obama administration, there have been approximately 47,000 NCIS checks on gun purches every day; hardly the mark of a "cowed population" ready to become serfs.    I say watch what they do, and keep the pressure on.   The "old world" blueprint aint workin too good here (...thank God...).   Remember, there is a presidental election every four years.  Vote early and often.   "new world" leroy

 29. I have a simple method for a new rifle.   Step 1) get a poster board from walmart (or more like 5 of em). step 2) put a small target in the middle, and shoot at it step 3) without moving the gun, adjust the dot until it covers the bullet hole.  repeat until it is "pretty good".     refine it beyond that?  Nah, get a scope.  Red dot is already 2 or more MOA so if you can hit a 3-4 inch target with it at 100, its fine.

 33. Well in this case no one will be fired since there was a court order issued by judge, so the NSA was acting within the law. The issue this brings up is the lack of oversight by the American people as to how the government is interpreting the laws, since it is being done in secret courts. They aren't spying on content (as far as we know), they are spying on records of who called whom. That should not be so alarming since such things are done with warrants all the time, but the fact they are doing it indiscriminately in bulk is the problem. They are collecting everyone's info. That is bad, bad, bad, bad bad precedent. The American people should have some outrage directed at their elected leadership regarding this, and look into how one gets a foreign intelligence judge ousted.

 38. well, if it came down to it, for an everything pistol round. hunting, personal defense, all that stuff, 10mm. MP5 in 10mm would be perfect to me. Bet a lot of people argue with me on that, but hey, what do I know... and if you dont reload, hope you have lots of cash monies for it... if you do reload, then its super cheap. uses all .40 components, just need the brass. light, charging handle is up front, and doesnt move with the bolt, again: its light and its short. everything your looking for. expensive... but sounds like your willing to drop some serious cash anyways. UMP would be another good way to go as well. something else to consider for sure.

 39. I think they are referring to threatening statements made on social media not general statements against the Islamic faith. Threats based on a persons faith are absolutely a civil rights violation. Whether or not we want to believe it, there are folks out there that threaten to hurt or kill a person because they worship a certain religion. The religion itself should be inconsequential when considering the crime, as in it is just as much a crime to threaten someone because they are practicing Islam as it is to threaten someone who is practicing Christianity. The only reason folks aren't prosecuted more for threats made on social media is because they are usually 12 year old boys behind the keyboard and aren't perpetrated by serious people, yet it is still a crime.

 40.   I don't agree that one sin is being singled-out by churches or the BSA at all, nor do I believe they are turning a blind eye to other sins.   What we have here is a group of people who wish to flaunt their sinfulness, while demanding acceptance. The difference it seems you are willing to overlook is that the average Christian (using them as an example, since this thread is about a Christian church's actions) doesn't wave their sins in peoples faces like a flag, thinking their fellow Christians should tolerate OR accept it as if it weren't immoral in the eyes of the Christian God they voluntarily accepted. Most realize that they are imperfect, regardless of how hard they try to do right and are ashamed of their transgressions. They are trying to be better Christians, not trying to change the rules, so they can slip in on a technicality.   That's not the case with openly gay Scouts. They don't see their self-identifying trait as a sin, so they seem to think others should ignore the sinfulness of the very characteristic they choose to identify themselves with.   I get the impression that some (not saying you, just "some" in general) want to rewrite Christian doctrine in terms of their personal ideals. These same people, while demanding that Christians remove homosexuality from God's LONG list of sins, are the same who accuse Christians of picking and choosing which sins they demonize. In actuality, if a group of adulterers, blasphemers, murderers, or liars were petitioning for acceptance, they'd be met with equal resistance. The difference is nobody in their right mind would question their exclusion. It's the non-Christians who want to choose which sins are real sins and demand that Christians bend their religious beliefs to meet their ideas of what they want Christianity to be.

 41. Finally got to sit down and read though all of this thread. I have two things that I would like to bring to the discussion.    1. As a Christian, I am well aware at how we sometimes like to pick and choose parts of the Bible to suit our needs and other times we ignore if we dont like what is in it. Does that make it right? Of course it doesn't. Is being a homosexual a sin? No it is not. Is engaging in homosexual acts a sin? Absolutely. Just like any other sin of the flesh. There are times when I feel ashamed when I see other Christians straight up ignore one person who is obviously living a sinful life such as adultery while being outspoken about such things as homosexuality. They are hyprocrites and they are wrong.    2. I thing the title could have been worded a little bit differently as it is a little misleading. The church wasnt telling sinners they couldnt come to worship. They told a group that they couldnt use their facilites because they openly supported a biblical sin. There is a BIG difference in the two. Would there be as much backlash if some local guy or girl wanted to have the bachelor/bacheolorette party with strippers there and they were told no? Doubtful. This is only a big deal because it has to do with homosexuals.    After all that has been going on lately with our individual rights, some of you have the nerve to criticize the Church for their beliefs. Guess what right comes in front your so cherished right? The 1st Amendment. Freedom of Religion. If a Church chooses to not allow use of their facilities by someone who openly supports something that the church is in strong disagreement with then the have EVERY right to do so.

 44. I can't even read this thread anymore. It is like deja vu all over again.   So I will just post my 2 cents and move on, LOL.   I figure if someone is riding my ass and driving aggressive they must have a good reason to do it.  Maybe their house is on fire, or their mother just had a stroke or something.  I give the benefit of the doubt and get the heck out of the way.  Just let them go on.   Slowing down to the point people get pissed off has no real purpose.  Just seems like a dick measuring contest or something.     Carry on.
