  1. I've been a fan of gold dots for years, but honestly I carry whatever I have reloaded at the time, even lead cast. Most any bullet will do just fine in an SD situation, as long as you place the rounds where you want them.

  2. I can't speak as to a tree stand, but we have 2 of the Mr.Heater Big Buddy heaters for emergency heat use and they put out a remarkable level of heat for their size. When we hit zero degrees here in the Knoxville area several years back we lost electrical power for several hours. We set up one in our living room (open to dining room) and one in the garage. The living room area is about 1200 Sq Ft...we were toasty warm and we had no pipes freeze because of the heater in the garage, unlike many of our neighbors and friends. Needless to say I'm sold on these little heaters.

  3. Yeah, I’m not trying to brag or advocate in any way, shape, form, or fashion, but I did a lot of drugs in my youth. I never had the desire to whack of my own wang in such a manner.

  4. Long ride, but I'd take this over a dozen EAAs or Tauri.

  7. Been thinking about lepers. In the ancient world, they were discarded, forgotten, and shut off from society. Biblically, it was particularly hard for a Jew, especially with Levitical law. Shut off from society in general and your family, friends, and culture specifically. Religiously, the afflicted had obviously earned God's (or the gods') disfavor or invited in Satan and his minions into your very body. Enter Jesus, heals those with leprosy and shows that leprosy doesn't make a person unclean nor unloved by God. Rings a little bit with James and not judging based on appearance. All in all, the lepers were universally shunned, both by members of their own family and society as a whole. We don't have wide spread leprosy today or leper colonies, so the teaching tied to leprosy seems a bit dated and hard to relate to. It does seem to me that the homeless are treated as modern day lepers. Shunned, forgotten, unwanted, a simple head turn to the right or left and they don't exist.

  8. Jaws opened across North America on 464 screens amid an unprecedented publicity blitz: $2.5m was spent on promotion, a substantial chunk of which went on TV advertising, still a novelty at that time. Promotional tie-ins, including Jaws-themed ice-creams, were everywhere. I remember being on holiday in the Isle of Man long before the film’s UK opening (it didn’t arrive here until December) and buying the novel, the T-shirt and a garish Jaws pendant, all on the strength of the insane levels of news coverage that the film’s US opening provoked. “Lifeguards were falling asleep at their stations,” remembered the film’s other producer, Richard Zanuck, “because nobody was going in the water; they were on the beach reading their book”. In the first 38 days of its release, Jaws sold 25m tickets; its rentals in 1975 were a record-breaking $102.5m. When adjusted for inflation, the film’s total worldwide box office is now estimated at close to $2bn.

  9. Well for all the planning they did, did neither think a pizza cutter was not the best idea. I think this is less about satan and their parent's political views than 2 girls looking for attention and/or help. The media gives so much attention to things like this that some people see it as a way to be known.

  10. Quavodus, have you considered buying a Rock Island revolver? They have a spurless snub .38 with fixed sights and wood grip that sells for about $250 new.

  11. I worked in hospitals for 41 years and saw plenty of things very similar to this. Both male and female. I have often wondered why they refer to this as using "recreational drugs". Doesn't appear to be my kind of recreation.

  14. They’ve had that deal for a couple of months now. I’ve been waiting to see how low they are willing to go before I order. Btw, Walmart sells 150 rounds boxes of the same stuff for $27 something. After tax it’s exaclty $10 for 50 rounds in Knoxville with the bonus of immediate gratification.

  15. I started with one like that, but mine was loud, but the noise and smell didn't seem to bother the deer. My stand was more enclosed, but the windows were opened constantly and the stand was not terribly airtight. But I moved to one of these and never regretted it, much warmer, runs quite and less danger of kicking it over. The ceramic burner really makes a difference. https://www.walmart.com/ip/Portable-Buddy-Heater-9K-Btu-Propane/14710768 They also have this one if that one seems too pricey, if the burner design is close to the one above it should be quieter. https://www.farmandhomesupply.com/mr-heater-little-buddy-indoor-propane-heater-f215100-mh4b.html

  17. One of the challenges is knowing homeless people do pan handle but not all pan handlers are homeless; it is their chosen career. Had an opportunity to be a secret agent. Was at Kohl's, noticed homeless woman asleep along the parking lot borderline. Approached cautiously, carefully, and courteously. No response, she was in a deep sleep. Placed 2 bottles of water by her back pack and slipped a $10 in a side pocket then scurried off. You don't have to be classified as a saved Christian to do on to others and love thy neighbor

  20. All I have to say... If the title was "Girls worshiping Satan in FL", would that mean that Satan was worshiping the girls in FL? Because, to me, "Satan worshiping girls" sounds as if it was Satan doing the worshiping. "Girls worshiping Satan" would seem the correct placement of subject and verb. "Satan-Worshiping Girls" would also accomplish the correct meaning. Hi, I'll see my way out of this thread now.
