According to varied FB posts and articles(yep...a sure fire bastion of truth) ISIS has claimed 3 times now that he was a newly radicalized convert. Even my family, who think I'm a conspiracy theorist and an alarmist are beginning to question this.

Good luck. I understood they are about impossible to find at original pricing. A family member does some 'smithing work for a local businessman. Told me that on Tuesday morning, this guy called and wanted him to order 50 slidefire stocks. This businessman is heavy into stockpiling anything he wants or thinks he needs.

I've owned several Taurus handguns sir. I've had exceptional "luck" as some would say, with mine. The gen 1 PT series guns were quite good. Not target guns, but had good accuracy for a short barreled pistol. The Gen 2 version I have is better, at least for me, than the Gen 1. You will find many detractors of the Taurus line, some with valid points, some not. The worst I can say about them is that in the last years of the PT series, especially the 111 and 145, there were some safety issues. Some...not an across the board issue. When the "voluntary recall" on the PT guns was issued about a year, year and a half ago, I sent one of mine in to be checked over. I'd had no issues with it at all. But better safe...than sorry I thought. Anyway, instead of being repaired, it was replaced. Supposedly because the safety would release and the trigger would fire without a booger grabber on it. This was at the very beginning, before we found that almost all The PT pistols were being kept and replacements issued for them. Being one of the first ones, and the fact that my dealer hounded them because of the lack of information on it; I was sent a replacement for the PT111. At the time, the Gen 2 wasn't available yet. I received a Gen 2 24/7 model instead. This didn't hurt my feelings at all. I already had one of the 4.5/5(?) inch models and it is great. Not a top level competition gun, but more than adequate for 99.9% of my shooting. But being sort of anal, and having 6 mags for the PT111 I'd lost, I found one on GB and replaced it. Now the painful part. I admit this replacement PT that came out of California, deserves some bad commentary. Mediocre trigger and shoots 2-3 inches low and left no matter what you do, or who shoots it. Yes, it could be just me, but a very good gunsmith I know looked it over and had the same results. So this one sits in a dark place and is good for short range, close encounters. The kind I hope never happen. So yes, there are some less than perfect Taurus pistols out there, but not all of them. Now about the Gen1 PT145...I will not let it go. It is a great little house gun, and not at all bad on the range. To get back on track with your original question, I was tempted by RK's sale as well, but had to pass it buy. I just didn't "need" another small 9...yet. lol I'd just ordered on of the HK VP9s and am anxiously awaiting my free mags for it. I know I've said to guys here that I'd not buy another HK, for many reasons, but the price from PSA and the free mag offer just made it so tempting that I couldn't resist. lol With additional HK mags averaging around 40 bucks each, it just grabbed me and wouldn't let go.

My first hearing of some of the videos left me pondering if multiple weapons firing. Sure sounded to me as if 2 different sounds, but not at the same time. So maybe Steelharp is onto it...echoing changed the pitch of the sounds?

Sure it wasn't a Herron? We have one big Herron that claims this neighborhood, and several smaller ones. Night Herron is what I hear them called.

Interesting. I didn't see these...another possibility for the next order. -
Need advice on rechargeable dessicants

I may do that next time. Thanks. I actually used my Amazon Prime and bought some of the individual packs to get started. The 55 unit/ 5 gram packs. I throw one in each can that has ammo that is still in original packing, 2 in those with loose rounds. -
Gorgeous grips! There's just something about nice wood grips on a pistol. Especially on a revolver...of any type. Not a big SA fan, but I have 3 that might benefit from something like that. Probably won't happen though. Two of them are Colt SA Commerative 22s from the 60s era. Both came from my father-in-law. One I bought from him, the other he gave to my wife. Good odds they will never be shot. The third however, is joy to shoot. I got this from a now living in Knoxville member; a Ruger New Model Vaquero in 45acp. I take it out every now and then. It never fails to get attention.

I'm a moderately educated, retired, middle class(at best) American. I simply do not understand these people. Do they truly believe that President Trump, and V-P Pence are going to be quaking in their shoes about this so-called revolt? At best, these idiots(my choice of words here) are planning wild, rabid, completely likely to get out of control protests. Protest that will in all likelihood erupt with rioting and massive property damage. Never understood how destroying property does any good for a protest. At worst, they are calling for an overthrow of the current government. Does that constitute a coup? Should they be treated then as a destabilizing and likely fighting group of terrorists? I think the answer to that is yes. What will happen when the first one of these antifa idiots picks up a firearm and starts waving it around? Likely it will be answered with a barrage of fire from the police who may see that as slightly endangering their lives. Or possibly the BLM or the Black Panther members involved will do it for them. In either case, I think this has the likelihood of turning ugly real fast. Yes, I'm putting out a very pessimistic viewpoint here. Might not happen. Then again...

Simply put...I'm very ashamed of the Titans and every NFL team, coach, owner, administrator, and especially the players. And lets not forget Roger Godell( did I get that right?)

Very Good! Took me a few seconds...but got it. lol

Welcome to TGO, sir. I'd say good things are things are in your future. Your first post shows an intelligence level far ahead of the average American citizen these days. Or at least close to 50% of them under the age of 40.

Some similar reports here in Nashville. Have had some instances of daylight robberies and invasions with people home. As Gtg says be vigilant. Watch traffic in your community. Cruising cars and multiple turn-arounds can be a sign of possible trouble. Sometimes difficult these days, but know your neighbors and their cars. If something is suspicious, call the police. Better safe than sorry.

My wife would laugh me out of the house if I bought this! But it's so tempting. lol

Did the same and agree with you. Of course the spyware program probably registered that we opened the link...so we're screwed.

Yes, That's me. I picked up my Copper 10/22 Takedown this afternoon...and caught myself thinking about the pretty and shiney Colt 9mm in the case. I'm afraid I'm done for.
-
Not for me as yet. I've said that for years. Still find myself lusting after more pistols.

Well...anyone who's seen me knows that it's nit possible that my fat butt would make it thru that hole. lol So very sorry that you guys had this happen. Are iron bars being considered for the front now?

Well said Hozzie. I don't have a large supply of any one caliber, but what I do have; I continue to purchase as money permits. A bit at a time, although I really prefer to buy case lots, is the least painful way to go about it. That being said, ammo prices right now are really great. IMO, anyway. When I can buy some of my preferred ammo brands at less than 200 a case shipped for 9mm, I can't complain. And S&B 45 is at the lowest I've seen since I got into 1911s. 556 is also pretty low now and doesn't seem to have bottomed out yet. But buy when you can...don't wait and then have to lament your poor judgement.

Dad came in one day and told me he had me a job. One of his friends was the local water commissioner. In that small town, all it meant was that he had to read the meters himself. So...walk along beside the truck, pop the covers off bend over and stick your head in a spider filled hole. Loads of fun. Rain or shine. Then it snowed. I froze doing it. All for 10 a week. I lasted about six months.

I remember that as well. If anything did come of it, I don't know either.

Well...that certainly is interesting. Out of stock now, so I saved some money tonight. But I think I like it. Reminds me of the minimalist stocks that I like so much. Thanks for the information.

Looks Great! If I ever file...mine might look like that someday. lol
