The Hearing Protection Act & The SHORT Act - It looks like Tonight could be it. I know you're tired but...

I started a new post on this as tonight is it, from the way it looks.

I know that none of us are holding our breath but we have a chance and who knows if we'll ever get another one.  We've got Trump and we need to make some noise and make them uncomfortable just like he does.  Take a few minutes and make a couple calls.  It takes less time than voting.  I realize you probably feel beat to hell, I know I do, but let them hear you.  Below is info and a link to the GOA's short video on this.

Tonight—before the 1AM Rules Committee markup—is the last chance to get both HPA & SHORT Act in the House version of the reconciliation bill! Taking action takes less than 60 seconds. Have you called yet? Your representative: (202) 224-3121 Speaker Johnson: (202) 225-2777 Majority Leader Scalise: (202) 225-3015 Majority Whip Emmer: (202) 225-2210

H.R. 1: One Big Beautiful Bill Act passes 215 to 214 with two Republicans voting against it, one Republican voting Present and two Republicans not voting.

It includes the full version of the Hearing Protection Act but not the SHORT act.  It is now off to the Senate so now we have to let them know we want this passed with the full version of the Hearing Protection Act, as well.

Also, remember that Rep. David Kustoff was not only not our friend on this but he moved against us hard by trying to strip the Hearing Protection Act out of this early on.

And I actually called his office and told them I wanted the full bill included, like a week ago-

I have voted for Kustoff because of his voting record -why do these Politicians always have to disappoint us-

Am I understanding this correctly that a suppressor will still be taxed just under a different act? Is there any mention about how much that tax is?

I think right now, there will be no NFA tax, only sales tax.  But I will be surprised if that is the case when this is finished.
