Fishing for piranhas, expert level

guy who got trapped around the amazon used a bucket.  Just cut himself and bled into the bucket and it was full of fish in seconds.

He also got a major tapeworm from eating them.   Barely survived the whole mess.  I wish I could find the story... looking.

Anyway, seems like an easy fish to catch...  she could probably drop that meat in that bucket, drop it in on a rope and pull up 20+ of the things.

Saw an episode of River Monsters where the guy got up to his neck into a pool full of piranhas that hadn't eaten in days. He stirred them up by pouring blood in the water and feeding them some meat. He didn't get bitten.

That's not what happens when you fall in the water fishing for piranhas, that's what happens to a body that has been floating for a period of time in the Amazon Basin.

I've seen people in Brazil catching piranhas on one side of a small dock and kids swimming on the other side (10' away) with no problems. Edited by BrasilNuts
