Kinda pointless to argue with someone who can always come back with "I'm right because my invisible friend says so."2 points

You realize, the word "God" was not added to the Pledge until 1952, right? Pledge itself wasn't written until over 100 years after the Declaration of Independence, btw. Also, "In God We Trust" was not added to currency until 1957, mostly as part of the pep rally against the "Godless Russian Commies". Point is, neither had anything to do with the Founders, and indeed, I wonder if they would have supported either idea. - OS2 points

i had the dumb idea to post a comment on youtube about some ding dong liberal spewing his democratic filth and just got done responding to the aftermath and realized that i am starting to believe there is no hope for our society and i am saying a prayer daily now that God forgive us and have mercy for as Jesus stated "they know not what they do". we must continue to carry the message brothers and sisters for it is our constitution that God asks for. it is our fortitude that He requests of us. i have seen the evil that settles in these times and beds down as to make a permanent home but is our faith in God The Almighty that will lift us towards evermore the Gates of Heaven! Can i get an Amen brothers and sisters?!?!? Can i get a hallelujah and praise be to God?!?!?! the power that gravitates my soul towards the Holy Fortune that is Jesus Christ is as a guiding beacon of hope and my faith is the tether that binds the two. blessed are those who seek and saved are those who find. God Bless All Of You.1 point

Are these Americans? What's the problem with them having a place to practice their religion?1 point

Warrants. It's just good Police work. Good cops will never stop asking for ID. If you are in a situation where you don’t have to show ID; then don’t show it.1 point

Sorry to inform you: I just got a call from the Grammar Police: You are not allowed to use the words "Love" and "TSA" in the same sentence. You are now on THE LIST. Draw your drapes so the drones can not see your movements.1 point

I've got a couple of '97's I'm very fond of. One still has a long barrel, and I agonized over cutting it down. Finally decided to leave it original length - the other is a trench gun. Both are as smooth or smoother than an Ithaca 37, and it just doesn't get any better than that.1 point

I usually just buy it, its not expensive & it usually only takes a single stick to get a fire going.1 point

Lets put it this way Ramjo, I have a Mossberg 835 Tactical Turkey and I think I can get off 4 rounds with the 97 before I could get off 3 with the 835. I shot it this afternoon and it is "sweet". Also,no trigger stop on the Winchester, just hold the trigger back and keep racking and it keeps going BANG. I just may have a very nice Mossberg 835 Tactical Turkey for sale. Thank You JMB1 point

If I had to choose a 2nd language today, it would be French. After English, it's the only language spoken on every continent by those in power. A person fluent in English and French can go anywhere and be understood. A person fluent in Arabic will be understood to be a person fluent in Arabic, with all the assumptions that come with that distinction.1 point

But I thought Chicago has some strict gun laws. No way it could have been a resident because they are all law abiding citizens. If they want to reduce the number of shootings they need make firearms mandatory or at least legalize them. Most criminals are chicken ####s and will not attempt anything if there is a chance they might get hurt. And if 1/2 the population was armed then they would find other ways to engage in their criminal activity. As much as most antis hate guns they need to realize guns make a society a polite society. Has to be a troll. That is their stereotype of the "little people" who the left always claims to "be for". The pick-up drivin', beer swillin', gun-totin', redneck. C'mon, "scabs", "busting unions", "working man"? Did we just ride the ol' time machine back 100 years? The republicans only support the "rich fat cats"? Must be a writer for Saturday Night Live. Will (who drives a foreign pick-up, carries a gun (or two) and knows a fraud like Obama when he sees one) Edit: Oops, nearly got a warning point!1 point

This is a prime example of why being drunk to the point that you are unaware of your actions is dangerous. I know many do this, and I see it often, but that's never me. Not judging, just saying actions have consequences so you better have control of your actions.1 point

Huh? That doesn't even make sense... if you're trying to make a point... you aren't. The discussion is about 16 folks all getting together with the thought of, "Hey, let's start some crap." Try to focus.1 point

As far as the Founders, it is clear they acknowledged a Higher Power, but were careful not to define it as Christianity; indeed, a number of the most prominent ones, including Jefferson, were clearly Deists. Had they wanted the Constitution to be based on Christianity, they would have used the word. However, your posts fall well beyond an examination and/or debate of this nature to merely pure Christian evangelism; apparently the TGO rule against proselytizing has fallen by the wayside, but it's a big Web -- with many more appropriate places to Bible thump. - OS1 point

They won't get it until it's too late. It's the trend nowadays. Give up everything to the government, they'll take care of you, your health and safety. Riiiight!! For the others.... No amount of traffic cameras is going to reduce traffic accidents or fatalities.Think about it folks, with all the police on the roads now, there is a statistic or an average no matter what you do in regards to accidents and fatalities. So how do you think a revenue generating camera with low cost tickets and no points on your record will deter speeders (and red light runners)? They aren't even taxed time wise as they don't get pulled over; they can just continue on. And when they spot those traps and learn thier locations, they just slow down and speed right back up! Absolutely useless. At least uniformed officers can hide and move around.1 point

Distracted drivers is #1 cause, speed is the #1 factor in how bad the crash will be.1 point

I disagree, most of these posted speed limits were put into place in the 60's-70's when a small car weighed 5000 pounds and went from 60-0 in half a mile and not 105 feet. Argument can be used on 129 up by the gap, they lowered the speed to 45 mph telling everyone it would save lives. They increased the ticket writing substantially and more people died. They said if we lower it to 35mph it will save lives, their ticket writing increased substantially again and more people die every year.1 point

"TSA Guy: You can't take those on the plane. Soldier: What? I've had them since we left country. TSA Guy: You're not suppose to have them. Soldier: Why? TSA Guy: They can be used as a weapon. Soldier: [touches butt stock of the rifle] But this actually is a weapon. And I'm allowed to take it on. TSA Guy: Yeah but you can't use it to take over the plane. You don't have bullets. Soldier: And I can take over the plane with nail clippers? TSA Guy: [awkward silence] Me: Dude, just give him your damn nail clippers so we can get the f--k out of here. I'll buy you a new set. Soldier: [hands nail clippers to TSA guy, makes it through security] This might be a good time to remind everyone that approximately 233 people re-boarded that plane with assault rifles, pistols, and machine guns -- but nothing that could have been used as a weapon. Think older revolvers. There are some .32 caliber revolvers out there made many moons ago that are quite diminutive. Be a sweet deal for her too if she can chisel out a cavity in an old bible to keep it in there. Unassuming is the ministers wife with a King James bible in her hand.
