Forum Admin uses Executive Order to change thread title to keep from scaring people to death....5 points

Yeah people have gone "full retard" (if you haven't seen Tropic Thunder you won't get this) I doubt if the ban fails that people will pay $1500 for base model ARs. Maybe they will, but probably not. People are blowing their savings and going in debt to own these guns and that's the sad part. People buying 3,4 up to 7 ARs at one time. If you couldn't afford it a month ago you probably can't afford it now. I was scrolling through my 'recently viewed' eBay. Most were standard BCGs that sold for $300 and up.4 points

Though I don't think I can put words to the kinship that we all share here on TGO (thanks David), from my family to all of yours, we wish you the most peace-filled Christmas - full of kindness both given and received. Merry Christmas everybody!3 points

Fights must be popular for Christmas. Lots and lots of customers used dealing with family as why they were buying wine and spirits. I pretty much think it is all in good humor and most people were only kidding. My only lasting tradition is I enjoy getting up very early, well before the grandkids ( kids back in the day) or anyone else and enjoying the peace of it all. I stand outside and ingest caffeine and nicotine. I enjoy the silence, road noise is at it's most minimum, and the slightest breeze drowns it out totally. The world seems calm and perfect for those few minutes. While not religious at all those few moments early in the pre dawn hours give me hope for humanity. Merry Christmas everyone.3 points

Had the magazine been in Wayne's hand, DC SWAT would have rappelled into the studio, forced him to the ground, and shot his dog.3 points

It is one thing to not price match because of a policy. It is totally different to tell me Walmart and Walmart.com are not affiliated at all. Then in the next sentence says Walmart.com will ship to Walmart the store front. Dolomite2 points

I'm hoping to capitalize on some of the poor judgment these assclowns have shown by picking up a rifle or two for a fraction of the price come Februrary or March when they realize that Obama can't get jack shit pushed through Congress and folks start dumping them to pay off their credit card debt.2 points

Dolomite, that will also come as a result of the further weakening of the US dollar. When I "buy" ammunition or silver, I don't think of it as spending money. I look it as exchanging my always weakening federal reserve notes for something that will continue to have value. I don't think we'll have an economic collapse in the near future, and cash is still king. But the writing's been on the wall since about 1913.2 points

Have things really gotten that bad? I just found an ad where someone is selling partial boxes of 22's. I mean a guy has 11 rounds of 22 listed for sale. I feel bad for shooting a few bricks the other day.2 points

Ours: Like my dad did with my family when I lived at home, later this evening, sitting by the candle light, hot cocoa and blankets, I will read from the Bible the Christmas story Matthew 1:18-25, Luke 2:1-20, then I will close with John 3:16. We then will tuck the kids in for bed, then wrap presents, assemble toys, and go to bed around 2am. We will then get up around 6am, and have a blast. One of our quirky traditions we do is the making of the Christmas cookies and goodies in the days before Christmas, my young boys (8, 7, 3, and our 2 month old) with their Christmas green aprons on help their mother roll dough, cut cookies, and really make messes. Its quirky, but I love it! What is yours?1 point

This is my personal opinion. Doesn't mean it's right for all. But having owned a PPS40, then a PPS9, I vote for the Shield 9. It just suits me better. I was on a waiting list for one for about 2 months and got one. Still carry the PPS9 as I haven't fully run enough rounds thru the Shield to be a permanent cc. Also have had a Kahr 9, a PF-9, and a Nano. For me, the Shield is #1, the Nano is dead last.1 point

Let's see if they can take it as well as they dish it out. This blogger tracked down the publisher and outed her name, address, phone #s and credit card buying habits. http://christopherfountain.wordpress.com/2012/12/24/sauce-for-the-goose/1 point

if someone could actually get one million gun owners to stand on the mall, armed or unarmed, congress would truly take notice. Can you imagine a million armed people in DC? What would the cops do? It would be very interesting.1 point

The article I read said he used a hammer to murder his grandmother. But they didn't call for the banning of hammers !! Not rying to make light of the murders but either the hammer or a gun is just a tool without a mind or body . It is the evil person who controls it that is to blame . Some extra crispy justice for the first murder would have stopped the other 2 murders . The media is our worst enemy as they will again blame the gun and not the individual or the system that let him back on the streets.1 point

You know, driving home today I had an idea. Also not sure if it would work but if the State did a state Supported Militia. 100 percent volunteer with a back ground check like TICS (same requirements). People have to train a couple times a year, however the state could call apon them if there was say a Natural disaster and they needed more bodies to help with a crisis. I was trying to think of a state formed militia that would not put a person on a terrorist watch list.1 point
Great thing is at some point this will all end and the market will be so saturated I can buy AR's and lowers for next to nothing! Of course the price of mags, ammo, and parts will stay up for a bit longer and unforntuantley AK's will never go down. :(
Problem is people will be asking what they paid. There will be some harsh reality checks when this all shakes out.1 point

It is a game, I assume most would get frustrated and just buy it then and there. reminds me of an electronics store that I knew of years back. They had a guarantee that they would beat anyone's price on like items. Seems all of their electronics and appliances has model numbers exclusive to their store. No other store could possibly have like items. It was a racket.1 point

My vote would be the M&P Shield. It handles and shoots nicely. Very controllable, has a decent trigger and short reset. I much prefer it over the LC9's long trigger pull.1 point

Government is a necessary evil. It possesses a mindless urge to expand. It can only do so at the expense of liberty. Its' only tools are deception and naked force. Only heroic efforts and constant vigilance keep it confined, lest it escape and destroy its' creators. It creates and controls mindless drones who look just like real people, yet they exist only to expand its' power. If that isn't the subject of nightmare, then what is?1 point

OMG. We have a similar arrangment. It's been mostly unspoken for years, but now it's not, it's a regular "quid pro quo" -- "something for something" or "this for that".1 point

No. It is arguably illegal to do so under 39-17-1303 if the child is a minor.1 point

I will GLADLY compromise!!! I would like for ALL gun laws to disappear! I'll compromise and agree to get rid of only the 1934 NFA and 1994 Brady Act (for now). Compromise works two ways. All I have heard is THEIR way, not OUR way! We need to take the battle to them. Let them realize that letting them keep ANY gun laws is a compromise to us. :usa:1 point
Nobody is forcing the teachers to carry a weapon. Only volunteers.
If only the volunteers cary at least the bad guys won't know who's armed and who's not. Sent from my DROIDX using Tapatalk 21 point

I fully support this. In fact I was thinking earlier today they should considering hiring Vets as armed guards at schools. I mean there would have be serious background and mental evaluation checks done. Make sure they are not suffering from any PTSD. Plus I would not want to see the position likened to a mall cop. Make it a position of respect, maybe even have the vet lead Plead of pledge of allegiance.1 point

Do you guys know many teachers? We'd be better served by a progam to increase our school resource officers.1 point
