  1. If it passes, meeting at Waffle House to talk it over is like rearranging chairs on the titanic. You would be like subjects England. "Stop or I'll say stop again!". Feinstein is a pig. A traitorous, statist, socialist, parasite. If she esposed her vile treasonous verbage 230 years ago she would have been tarred and feathered. How can anyone with one ounce of knowledge about our constitution have voted for this septic ,communist ,anti American ,blood sucking bitch? How stupid have people become?

  2. Equilibrium.   Equilibrium is where the supply meets the demand. The point in which these two meet is the market price. Anything below the market price and you have a shortage. If, magically speaking, right now 7.62x39mm rounds were going for 25 cents a round, there would be a huge shortage. You wouldn't be able to find it anywhere, at all. That's assuming that 25 cents was as high as they could possibly sale.    Personally, I like knowing that I can buy something (even at a higher rate) due to the market adjusting, vs not being able to buy something because I literally cannot find it. I don't know what people are actually paying for 7.62x39mm ammo, but if they are paying for it at $1 per round, all that would happen if it were currently going for 25 cents a round is people would buy four times as much. It would disappear 400% quicker. If they are paying $1 per round, it is based upon the fact that the supply cannot keep up with the demand. The demand for II Amendment related stuff over the last month has skyrocketed. The only things that can bring price back down are two possible things:   Supply catches up with demand. Demand falls.   Both of those are based upon what the speculation of legislation is.   If the suppliers feel a ban is coming, do you think they wish to invest capital in expanding production lines? If demand feels a ban is coming, that means they have to purchase everything they want now.    If the suppliers don't feel a ban is coming, do you think they will invest capital in expanding production lines in order to meet the current demand? Perhaps. It depends on how much capital they need to invest vs expected return. If demand feels a ban isn't coming, do you think they will pay inflated prices?   Also, I offer this bid of supposed wisdom. People keep complaining about inflated prices. Well, I've also heard the following logic promoted around here, "Don't sale anything that you would regret selling if a ban were to pass". In other words, even if you could sale your AR-15 for $3000 that you only paid $1000 for, is it really worth it if a ban comes within this year? Over the next decade, would you rather have your AR-15 or an extra $3000?    I take that logic and ask the other side of the same coin. If you do not have an AR-15, and you know you want one, is $3000 worth the security in knowing that you have one that you can own today? What if legislative talks this week go haywire and not in our favor? Then AR-15 prices will jump even more. $5000? $10,000? It all depends on demand and supply. If you do not have an AR-15, and want one, and you knew 100% that a ban would pass within a few months, what would you pay? Would you rather have that AR-15 over the next 10 years, or the $3,000, $5,000, or $10,000 that it costs to purchase it. That is called opportunity cost.    There are those that say a ban won't pass. Many people said that in '94. Hell. Remember, supposedly the Hughes Amendment didn't pass. Try paying the taxes on a newly manufactured machine gun as a citizen and see how that goes for you. Look at healthcare. How much of the country was and is against it? Guess what we have now. Tell me the ban won't pass. I hope you are right. But what if you are wrong? One, five, ten years from now, are you going to be spiteful at how much "price gouging" went on in 2013, or are you going to be spiteful that you didn't buy a few more magazines and possibly a gun or two and some ammo? If a ban passes, I doubt it will be the first.    I don't agree with the accepted concept of "price gouging". In order to believe in price gouging, I claim that you must first believe that the seller has an obligation to sell you something. If you own a gas station and a national crisis such as 9/11 happens, who says you have to sale your gas in the first place? What if you wish to keep the tanks full so that you know you have a steady supply for yourself for a while? You might say to yourself, "I am keeping this gas, but if someone wants to pay me $100 a gallon, I'll sell them how ever much they want". A few people might take you up on that, and you might make a huge return on a percentage of your initial investment. But if the price is capped (price ceiling), look what happens. People buy a lot of it and then it is all gone!    Some will disagree with me. I know. Some will agree. I have a very strong belief in the free market system.    Equilibrium  (It's also a really great movie)

  4. My sister is a teacher locally and decided to bring up at lunch yesterday while my wife and I were out to lunch with a group of them that I supported a teacher's right to carry if they were so inclined . I was immediately confronted by one of the other teachers at the table stating that she wouldn't trust several of her coworkers with a firearm b/c they are borderline incompetent. I asked if she would mind putting those teachers names on a piece of paper for me so I could take that up with the principal of the school. She said "take WHAT up with the principal?" and before I could get a word out my wife interjected that if they were in fact  "borderline incompetent" we didn't want them teaching our children OR carrying firearms in the school.   While my wife rarely approves of my stance on firearms b/c she was raised to fear them, on the way home she said that she is much more scared of the idiots that have some how gotten into positions of power than she is of me or any of our friends who carry firearms.

  5. These spoon fed control freaks don't care one bit about curbing crime and stopping psycho's from murder, it's all about their ideal of turning Americans into their subjects, turning America into their fantacy of an authoritarian, European type of socialist republic where they have the ultimate authority over every aspect of our lives. They could actually be diagnosed with some type of obsessive compulsive disorder, obsessed with power and control over people.

  6. I did once for several weeks after we had been married a few years.  I don't even remember why now.  I do remember how much it broke my heart to see her cry and be so upset about some stupid ass power play I thought was funny at the time.  I decided to remove my head from my rectum and compromise.  Marriage is hard enough without being stupid.  This year will make 34 years for us.  I was 21 and she was 18 when we were married.

  8. Just left Clinton walmart about an hour ago with 15 boxes of AE black box .223 and 2 100rd boxes of 9mm. The .223 was $6.97 per and the 9mm was 19.97. As I left they were still unpacking but I saw at least 20 more black boxes as well as 7 or 8 100rd boxes of federal .223 ($34.97). I believe 5 or 6 boxes of 9mm. My safe remains well stocked due to this location. They listen to their customers and order accordingly. Lately I have seen them getting stock on Tuesday and wed nights. They are unpacking later in the evening to avoid calamity, the last few times I got ammo it came directly from pallets on the floor. If you can get in tonight or tomorrow morning do so, or else stake out this location during weekday evenings as I have been doing. It is a sure bet for what may be the last reasonable prices available at this time

  13. I sincerely hope that the panic buying stops pretty quickly and when it does, you'll see prices settle to where they really should be.   I don't like it when businesses raise prices by large percentages just because they believe people will pay it but we always need to remember that there are two sides to the free market; the buyer and the seller - if buyers are willing to pay the inflated prices then they can; I chose not to and will continue to not do so.   Now, if supply remains very strained and prices very high I may not have a choice but I'm not going to rush out and buy anything right now.

  15. I agree...it's one thing to "know" something and another to do something about it but that doesn't mean we should freely reveal information about ourselves and make it even easier for them.   I just (December) submitted my master's thesis on medical data privacy and one of the things I pointed out is that much of what we consider "private" information isn't private and has never been private and that we reveal volumes of intimate data about ourselves of our own free will without really giving any significant thought to who will or can see it or what can be done with it. ;)

  20. It's hard to imagine people who spent thousands, and tens of thousands voluntarily turning in their guns for a $25., Dollar General gift card, this could very well be that "scenero" where actual shooting happens if something this anti-American and un-constitutional were to pass. I can't see it passing but it is Illinois controlled by the Chicago syndicate. I hope those who took the oath to defend the Constitution would refuse to confiscate guns from American citizens, those who do follow illegal orders and violate Americans constitutional rights are undoubtly TRAITORS to the Constitution and United States. They would be no different than some American who might have collaborated with the Nazi's in WW2, or sold military secrets to the Soviet Union.

  22. Or maybe sue them because it will cost them more to defend the suit than it would to hire the person back. Not really sure how long the person would work until they were fired for some other reason but the cost would still be there.   They do this to save the money of defending lawsuits and if they realized it was going to cost them just as much either way maybe they would do the right thing.   Dolomite

I did the pizza thing for a while and carried while I did, even though it was against company policy.   I'm sorry but no one is going to tell me what I am or am not allowed to have in my personal vehicle that is otherwise legal.  I averaged about $12 an hour which was pretty decent at the time.  I figured if I ever had to use my gun I would lose my $12 an hour job and didn't really care if I did at that point.

  41. I have determined that the reason folks like him are so bent against the existence of destructive devices designed to kill is because he would have no intention of ever making a stand that could possibly put him in harms way, even if it was from an assailant bent on killing him.  It's taken a long time for me to figure this out about people like him, but I've met plenty.  I figure it's because, even when defending yourself from certain death, you still must make a choice.  By not making a choice it removes you from responsibility and leaves it to fate.  That is a much more comfortable feeling for many people.  The problem is, people like Morgan take it to a new level.  Not only are they such cowards that the thought of defending themselves is too scary, but it upsets them that there are people out there with the intestinal fortitude to take control of their own lives and stand up for the right to live.    On some level I can agree with the mentality of the gun grabbers.  If I could wish away all of the destructive implements designed to kill people and know that Pandora's Box couldn't be opened again, I would.  But the fact is the box can't be closed.  We have nuclear weapons now on top of all the other man-killing implements we've designed since moving on from wooden clubs and heavy boulders.  We can't go back.  Not because we don't want to, but because we will never be able to absolutely deny access to those that would use such weapons to destroy innocents.  Therefore, we all should be armed to the teeth, and be so inclined to use those weapons to protect those that can't/won't protect themselves.  It isn't perfect, but it is the reality of life.  We will never be able to control the development of evil.  We can only kill it when it finally rears it's head and hope that as few innocents are taken as possible.  It isn't perfect, but that is freedom.   While I empathize with the pasifists that lack the stomach to take another life, folks like Morgan who wish to take away the ability of sack having men to defend themselves and their family are a different animal.  Folks like Morgan need to fold a frisbee in to 1/4 sections and attempt to swallow it.

  42. The "sheeple" of the United States of Amerika voted in the incumbent that promises entitlements paid for by working people like me. They have voted in an anti-colonial, anti-American exceptionalism, anti capitalist, anti-military, socialist, income redistributionist to the most powerful position on earth. The man is a protege of Frank Marshal Davis(communist), son of a card carrying member of the communist party(mother) and son of polygamist, radical revolutionary against British colonialism(father). The Amerikan people that voted for this marxist are fools and yes, stupid. Last I checked no one on my side of the fence has done one thing to oppress the govt. It is the other way around. We are being taxed, disarmed, zoned, regulated, silenced and stripped of a rich culture. A traditional America with values and freedom that no longer exists. We the American People are getting strangled to death by an overreaching and ever expanding monster lurking in the dc septic tank.

  43. YOUR country, at least a faction of it, is trying to flush the whole thing down the crapper. Like it or not (some HATE it), the Second Amendment is a cornerstone of YOUR country. The Feinstein bill, if left intact, literally destroys the second.   I will fight that in some way. That doesn't mean that I will start shooting commies. It means that I won't stand by and pretend that the United States is still intact. I won't comply in the way they expect. I won't comply.
