  1. stop buying overpriced ammo.  Plain and simple.   Buy the ammo from assholes jacking up prices and it will never stop.   Begin with it all by not buying from the jack legs on this site raping people with ammo prices.

  3. That's a bunch of bullsh**. I'm from Florida, used to live right there in Sanford less than a mile from where this took place. The Casey Anthony circus took place the next county over a few years before this. There were so many prejudicial stories in the news long before she was charged. Somehow the jury found her not guilty despite the fact that every juror interviewed said they think she is guilty, however they did not think the state provided enough evidence to prove beyond a reasonable doubt. To say he won't get a fair trial is just a bunch of malarkey being spewed so folks can be secure in their opinion that this is just a huge conspiracy to get whitey.

  6. Many statements have been made implying that those of us that think Zimmerman acted reckless and is responsible for Martins death are saying so because of race. I can be color blind to this issue. I can’t get past the fact that Zimmerman bailed out of his truck and started chasing a kid that had done nothing wrong. I don’t care if Martin was kicking his ass; Zimmerman created that situation with his recklessness. Martin could have been scared to death, we don’t know we can’t ask him; Zimmerman killed him.   If someone jumps out and starts running at you and you pull a gun because you are in fear of death or great bodily harm, and they see your gun and pull theirs and kill you; they don’t get to walk free by saying you had a gun and they were justified. They will go to prison for murdering you in an unprovoked attack.

  7. i reload so I don't buy ammo except 22 lr.   when the 500 round bulk pack went sky high I stopped buying.  I am glad that I had a bunch of 22 lr before the price went up.

  9.   You may be the most naive person I've ever seen. How can you claim it's not about race when Jesse Jackson and every other civil rights activist in the country raised pure hell until Z man was arrested?   This is ABSOLUTELY about race.   Did you hear anything about the story below when it happened just after Martin was killed? Hell no you didn't because the MSM hardly mentioned it. Why? I think we know exactly why. When a couple thugs drug a white guy out of his truck and bludgeoned him with a hammer it doesn't fit the agenda the media is trying to push. Can you imagine if the roles were reversed? The media and Jesse Jackson would have exploited this to the fullest.     http://www.wftv.com/news/news/deputies-men-beat-another-man-hammer-sanford/nMHW6/   https://www.google.com/#output=search&sclient=psy-ab&q=man+beaten+with+hammer+in+sanford&oq=man+beaten+with+hammer+in+sanford&gs_l=hp.3..0i22i30l4.1025.6130.1.6278.33.29.0.3.3.0.379.4310.9j15j3j2.29.0...0.0.0..1c.1.17.hp.C7S-eCWz4uM&psj=1&bav=on.2,or.r_cp.r_qf.&bvm=bv.47810305,d.eWU&fp=a673a573320f32e2&biw=1092&bih=514

  10. Dave, no offense we are going stick up for our children, but they need to understand and be honest their kid wasn't a real model. I don't agree that gave Z, the right to shoot him or clean out the gene pool, but only them two know what happened and one of them can't give his side of the story. Like I stated earlier, mob rule has convicted him, and not the rule of Law.

  11. The Mosin that austin7.62 has for sale is an M44, which is a more expensive carbine variant of the Mosin model 91/30 that is the topic of the OP and this thread. His price for the M44 is a good current market price.

  12. I bought two bulk packs today for $20 each, so the "going rate" is not 17 cents per round except for folks taking advantage of the less-informed gun owners out there. Since this crap has started, I've bought about 2000 rounds of .22LR a box or two here and there all at the standard prices and at stores in East Tennessee.

  16. must be something about wives and the P238, got mine one for christmas.  Thing works beautifully, the only modification made to it was to polish the feed ramp down to a mirror as it did occasionally catch the edge of some rounds with large cavities in them.  Thing runs like melted butter now though.

  18. My last comment on this and I will leave it like this. I was raised when an Adult asked a question I would stop and answer them, while being polite because it would get back to my parents and I would be disciplined. So even if Zimmerman got out of his vehicle and stopped him, all the kid had to say were he came from, what he was doing in the neighborhood, where he was going and respectful since he was talking to an Adult (which btw, anything after 16, you are pretty much an adult, you know what is right from wrong and should have a clue).    If you have nothing to hide and haven't done a damn thing, then no flags would get waved, but if you have a history and you think you are sh!t hot and talk smack, guess what, Game on. Same thing happens when you are question by LEOs, be respectful and you get treated with respect, play stupid games win stupid prizes.   Am I saying that's what happened? Nope, since I wasn't there, but from the outcome, kid's past, and how his parents acted, kid was playing stupid games for a while and it caught up with him. Sucks that yes, he's dead, but from his previous choices, he didn't have a bright future, other than being a D-boy, in Jail, or dead. He just accelerated his options.    BTW, I am a hispanic that grew up in Carol City, which is now Miami Gardens, was there during most of the Miami riots and saw the idiocy that was happening down there.

  25.     It's all about what I believe in. That's all. I believe Zman murdered an innocent kid, who was doing nothing but walking home. I have been beat to death on this forum from many members here. I still firmly stand by what I believe in. You or anyone else will not change my mind. I personally hope Zman gets off the hook. I also hope he gets sued for millions for "wrongful death" and the dude (cowboy) cop wanna be, will never get to live a normal life. There are "hits' on him and he will always be looking over his shoulder and watching the shadows for the rest of his life. The jury can render a verdict of "innocent" and he'll pay for his stupidity for the rest of his life (how ever long that will last). But I have been attacked time and time again, for what I believe in. Why? So I think the cop wanna be killed an innocent kid. That makes me a bad guy? HAHAHA!!! Far from it home dawg!   Dave

  26.   That is an equally disturbing story Dave but it got plenty of attention when it happened as it should have. I'm tying to point out the double standard we have in this country which apparently I can't do without being called a racist. Oh, and no one called you a racist. Naive, yes. Racist, no.

  30. Appeals, Fed charges, "deadlocked" juries, people on the jury who believe the media BS and the racial bias... etc. You couldn't pull a unbiased jury from the far side of Mars for this one. If by some change he is found not guilty the riots will be epic. Then he will be found guilty of SOMETHING just to appease the NAACP, the community organizer in chief and the rest of the race baiters who feel like the entire world owes them a pass for their own lack of ethics and morals.

  31. If the town burns then it burns; it isn't my fault if people are stupid enough of criminal enough to do that.   As to Trayvon's parents, sure; they "believed in their child"...but they could have "believed" in him without scrubbing his Facebook and posting pictures when he was a cute little boy (I'm surprised they didn't superimpose a halo over his head). There actions are simply lies about their "little Trayvon" and I don't much care what they have to say after that.   The parents are only one component anyway; the real issue is the abundant and over the top race baiting from the likes of Sharpton, Jackson, the Black Panthers and yes, even Obummer - that race baiting (and DA shopping) is why Zimmerman is on trial. "From what you are "seeing""???  Given that they haven't even chosen their first jury member yet just what are you seeing that is so insightful?    Please feel free to give us your insight.

  39. What he said^ The m44 I have is sellin for $259 at SOG international currently. The m38s have dried up for the most part, and I would say they would draw a premium compared to the mosin m44. I have a few of each, but I bought a metric butt ton of type 53 carbines. They are my favorite! I got some of them as cheap as $99 before shipping! I highly recommend them.

  40. Setting up dies can be very frustrating but I have found a foolproof way to set them up 99% of the time. To set your seater die do this.   Loosen the seater die a few turns. Loosen the seater stem a few more turns. Take a piece of FACTORY ammo and place it in the shell holder. Place the handle of your press at the all the way down position. It should be resting on the presses hard stop. Slowly screw the seater die in until the die hits resistance and you start to see the handle move. It should not move up any significant amount but just kind of barely move. Lock the seater die down so it cannot move. Screw the seater pin in until the handle again starts to move.   Now when you load a round it should at least be the same as the factory ammo you used to setup your dies.   This will get you very. very close to where you want to be. 9 out of 10 times the seater die is good to go and the only adjustments from then on are with the seater pin. If you do have any issues or want to add a little more crimp only add a 1/8 turn at a time and remember to back the seater pin out the same amount you screw the seater die in.   I would also STRONGLY suggest a chamber gauge to check your loaded rounds before you get to the range.

  41.   Yeah, but Falling Skies is a scenario that could actually happen.     The season premier was pretty good I thought.  No spoilers.  The series has improved I think, as it has gone along, unlike TWD.    As for Revolution, it has improved as it has gone along as well.     Unrelated, but The King is about to return...Breaking Bad is just around the corner.

  44. There is a very big savings if your loading quality bullets such as Sierra or Nosler ballistic tips for accuracy. A good box of factory ammo with ballistic tips or such could cost $20 to $30 for 20 rds.You can load them for about $6 or so for 20 rds.

  45. my problems with those holsters is that they say they're ambi. but there's always some feature on them that doesn't work reversed. I bought a shoulder holster rig with a double magazine clip that claim to be ambidextrous to when I got to put the holster part working the magazine clips faced with their flaps towards the inside. I use a Black hawk which can be worn as a paddle holster or can be switched to a Molly set up so I can put it on my vest. I even have a mount for it under my dashboard.

  46. I've had an 88 for a couple for years now. Main complaints are the rock hard recoil pad and the LOP seems a bit too long for me. The heel of the stock grabs the material of my shirt while shouldering. Both are fairly easily fixed.   Wile searching for a shorter stock I picked up the Hogue Overmolded stock set. The Hogue stock dropped the LOP to a much more comfortable ~13.75. I really only wanted the stock, but it came with forearm as well. As mentioned earlier the 88 has the pinned on action bars. I picked up a replacement 500 slide in the correct length for the new forearm and installed them. I do like the Hogue forearm much more that the old Corn-Cob, but the conversion was not cheap at ~$65 for the new slide.
