  1. I've been a cop for about 20 years...Depts ranging in sizes from 1450 sworn to my current one that's about 75 sworn. Yeah, I've met these types.  A minority, but they exist everywhere.  Yes, it's sickening.   Anyway, geography also matters.  LAPD, NYPD, Boston PD, etc., their political views (along with their Dept's and State's), generally, will be vastly different from a TN cop.  Believe me, I used to live/work in New York. Currently, I supervise 13 officers...and I'm pretty proud of them when it comes to stuff like this.

  2. I've been back and forth on my thoughts of the likelihood of anything significant actually happening if Zimmerman is acquitted. There is definitely a part of me that thinks a lot of this is just talk. While there has been isolated riots in the past (Rodney King, Watts, etc.) there hasn't been anything really widespread. Then I realized that everything in the past was pre-Twitter. From the on Twitter organized flash-robs/mobs to the Arab Spring uprisings, Twitter has allowed for on the fly organizing and communication in a manner not seen before. It would be very easy for a few folks to hit the streets, send out a few tweets and then be joined by hundreds or thousands in very little time. I initially brushed the idea off, but now I think that it would be prudent to have a plan in place in case things really pop off here in Memphis.

  3. Gordon next time you talk to him tell him Mike Hahn said to go "F" himself.   Except add the "uck" to it.   I have no respect for those who think they are better than others.  He sounds like a total jackass and if possible I would tell him how I feel personally.     Yeah,  I should not defend myself or my loved ones but he can?  Yep, he can go pound sand.

  5. A paper grocery sack isn't "suspicious" nor is entering/exiting a retail establishment that sells alcohol beverages amongst it's groceries items. The agents had zero RS, let alone PC to reasonably believe that a crime had been comitted by those girls &/or the clerk at the store. Bottled water, cookie dough & icecream = a couple of innocent college girls getting bum-rushed in the parking lot by plain clothes officers with brandished weapons? No-one should be "ok" with that.

  8.   Robert.  I, and lots of others like yourself, i believe; would like to have seen (...notice the passed tense...) this be done fairly and with impartiality.  I'm also hopin for that in the trial.  But, to my thinkin, the sad fact is that any pretense of fairness and impartiality was thrown out in this particular case when the political class opportunists took the investigation and reviews for criminal charges out of the hands of the local police department and prosecuting attorney; and started the "witch hunt" for George Zimmerman to placate the rabble who were "outraged" at the supposidely heinous murder of a child (...who wuz really an 18 year old, 185 lb. thug...).     The real loosers in this whole debacle are the citizens of the state of florida.  They have seen that the political class on both sides of the spectrum are nothin but opportunists usin the power of the state to maliciously prosecute an individual to score political points; which, in itself, is clearly illegal.  They have murdered the rule of law in florida and sent a message to every potential dissident in the state that all you have to do to get a punitive prosecution on an individual basis is to raise a little hell and get on tv threatening to upset the political applecart and call in a few favors to the race-baiters ALA Sharpton and Jackson; not to mention threatening to vote the "wrong way" next election.     Let's hope that this sort of "law" doesnt spread to other places, like tennessee, for instance.  On a personal basis, i dont think it will.  My guess is that this is a 50/50 state carpetbagger thing.     leroy

  12. nice release about the US spying on the EU.   I learned a long time ago that two wrongs don't make a right.  Certainly the US is spied on,  and everyone who justifies our countries actions used that to make it seem right.,  I don't know really what to think,  other than the two wrongs don't make a right thing.   If we gotta spy on people we darn well ought to do a better job of covering the tracks.     Snowden is a patriot.  And those in the .gov pissed about it are just afraid of the dirt from the crappy job they do of covering their tracks.

  14. I have listened to him for about a week now on a game server I have started playing on. He doesn't spew this nonsense unless it comes up.   He is NOT a troll and he IS in LE. He has all the mannerisms and nuances most anyone who has been in LE has.   This is the same kind of attitude that contributed to me leaving LE for good. This is not to bash LE because 90% of them are great people who actually care and want to do what is right. The other 10% give the 90% a bad name with their antics.

  15. Well, here is a newsflash for you.........underage drinking is a crime ABC agents focus on in every state. You are not going to see ABC agents investigating crimes like murder, rape, robbery, etc.... They are going to focus on alcohol related crime, that is their job. Odds are that Harris Teeter store has a track record of selling alcohol to underage people, so the agents are merely focusing their efforts where the crime exists. They are going after the buyers, but ultimately want to get the sellers. That being said, and if the news story is accurate, the tactics they used are just plain dumb. Swarming three young ladies in a store parking lot, at night, in plainclothes is just ridiculous. At the very minimum, the agents who make the contact should be in some sort of uniform that makes them immediately recognizable a LEOs. And here is another suggestion for these agents: in the future, it might be prudent to have an agent in the store to verify that someone actually bought alcohol.....and not bottled water. These guys were full of the stupid. I can only hope that they will look at this, learn a lesson and change their tactics. Sorry sore subject. Kinda like NFA laws. I can join tbe military at 18 (17 with parental consent) and go fight and possibly die for my country but I can't drink a beer. Like I said, maybe we could focus all this time and money on real crime instead of having another useless agency like the ATF. sent from the backwoods

  16.   Remember the big huff over Chick-fil-a? I don't think ANY of my homo friends supported that. It was 99% outraged libtards. Most gay folks, at least the ones I know, just wanna live their lives.

  17.   They? A few of my gay friends shoot guns and hate Obama. The biggest difference (except the things they do behind closed doors) is that they have lots better decorating skills than me. My point... all homos ain't the same. There is no they.

  20. It looked like right before the charges were dropped they knew they really effed up cause they contacted the father and tried to say they would drop the charges as a favor to everyone as long as the kid and his family would sign agreements not to talk to the media about it. The father was on tv and he said something like "don't you think it's funny they are offering this? Well, they are wrong and my son did nothing illegal or bad, so we're not signing anything and we're going to fight". 24 hours later, this happened and now they are going with a civil suit against the school. Good fir this kid, and I'm glad his dad has a sharp head on him.

  21. If voicing my opinion that being gay is morally wrong makes me a homopobe then I guess I'm a homophobe. If you guys will excuse me I have some skinheads over for a beer and a cross to burn later tonight. >_> I love how disagreeing with something makes you a bad guy instantly. I also don't agree with abortion. That doesnt mean I hate people who have had one, or who do agree with it. I don't agree with the gay lifestyle because of my relegious beliefs. That doesn't mean I hate gays or that Im gonna bomb a gay marriage ceremony. I guess some people believe in freedom of choice as long as you agree with the majority sent from the backwoods

  25. Ignoring all that internet chatter, I think the threat to him is very real. The people that will go after him aren’t posting on twitter and I doubt they are the type to challenge him to gun fight. The New Black Panthers openly put a bounty on him dead or alive and the justice department stood by silently; that says a lot. There are people waiting for a reason to riot; they don’t care about Martin or Zimmerman. Either way the verdict goes; they will use it as a reason to destroy property and steal stuff.

My money says I won't hear any shit, unlike wearing one to a party full of sanctimonious libtards. Probably won't get splattered with any bodily fluids or anal lube either.

  33. That's the way most of the people in Illinois thought in the 60's-70's & 80's. Now Chicago politics run the whole state. Don't think for a minute that it can't happen in Tennessee. What do you think happened to Colorado? It's all the nuts that moved there from the peoples republic of California that spread the cancer. Now most of the people in rural Colorado are scratching their heads trying to figure what the hell just happened to their gun rights. Same goes for the people of up state New York.

  35. Most peoples problem with it is that at marriage was a relegious institution long before the Government got involved in it. It doesnt have to do with rights. I dont care if they want a civil union with all the rights of a marriex couple. I would just personally prefer that we protect the sanctity of tradtional marriage. But thats my personal opinion and I'm pretty damn happy that one personal opinions can't run this country. sent from the backwoods

  36. I don't agree with government limiting rights either. Just because something is legal doesn't mean I have to agree with it or that its morally right. I choose not use youtube now because they sent me an email and have big banners on google proclaiming their pride in the LGBT community. I do not agree with that lifestyle and think its morally wrong. I'm not saying they don't have rights, just that I don't have to support them. I'm with daddyo. I dont give a damn about starting some movement. I come here for good discussion which is what I get, especially with post like these. As far as pulling out of any company that supports gay rights heres how I see it. I will conitinue to support your company as long as you don't push the issue in my face. If I see an ad or a banner that says you do it then I'll stop. Just like anti gunners. I don't give a crap if you like guns or not. If you post an anti-gun sign I stop doing business with you. Your choice to stand up for your beliefs and my choice to stand up for mine. sent from the backwoods

Actually those rapes and murders are true and I was using them to illustrate the reason my wife and I carry even in our home. I agree with your statements that evil knows no bounds and you are correct in your statements which further illustrates the point I was making, so thank you sir! H's anyone heard if this freak has been caught?

  41. I just love to hear Internet badasses say "I would have just whooped that beanpole, I wouldn't have used my firearm" or "I just wouldn't have gotten in that situation" It's to those I speak of, I submit this... 1) That's awesome, you fighter you. Chuck Norris would be proud. The fact of the matter is, this guy is on top of you, which would introduce leverage into the situation and it's not in your favor, regardless of weight. He's on top of you, banging your head against the concrete. Now, do you wait and wonder "Will I be able to toss him off of me before the next blow to the head? Or will the lights go out and it be the end of my life?" Or will you use your firearm? You're a fool if you still believe you're badass at that point. You think if you haven't fended him off by now that you'll somehow kick his tail after the next hard blow to the head? You won't, you'd fear for your life, and you'd stop the threat on your life. At least if you valued your own life. It's easy to say "he did this wrong" or "I woulda done this" but the fact is, if you were in the exact same spot, the result would be the same. Or....you could be dead, your choice 2) From what the evidence shows, the situation came to Zimmerman or he got surprised. Now, you may think you're some sort of spec ops ninja samurai and your situational awareness never drops, but you're wrong. Plain and simple. So please, spare us your complete and utter bullcrap. We can train all we want and we can be as aware as we want, but in most self defense situations you're going to be starting behind the curve. You're going to be reacting to someone else's actions.

  46. "When the sentence for a crime is not quickly carried out, people's hearts are filled with schemes to do wrong," says the writer of Ecclesiastes.  Under this principle, if a government does what's right in it's own eyes instead of what the law demands, the course is set for a downward spiral into anarchy and chaos.  Politicians have perverted the truth for centuries, but in the last few decades we've witnessed the country radically transformed by ideological deception.  Now it's even affirmed in national polling that many  people have little to no trust in government.  This pending legislation is only throwing more wood on the fire of unruly cultural division.

  48. You pay 115 once and I think 50 to renew three years later. Yeah but its still $115 plus a $50 class from someone who may or may not be as qualified as the people they are teaching, all to exercise a Constitutional right. Then if you want to keep exercising your right its $50 every 4 years. How would people feel if you had to take a class and pay a tax to exercise your right to free speech? Or any other rights?. Like I said Im not condoning it, but I understand it. Sent from the backwoods of Nowhere
